Ali moves to the side of the road, taking a knee in the brush, using his cloak and the darkness of the woods to hide himself the best he can. He aimed his crossbow out in to the open, towards the direction the Goblins were coming from.

Vandra's Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
Jeaux's Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Vandra hid well in the brush, trying to ignore the itching in his leg as he prepares to casts spells to help out his comrades.
Jeaux hid next to her son, mentally preparing herself to help protect him from the goblins approaching their location. Unfortunately, the top of her glaive poked out, glinting in the remaining sunlight.

Perception Distance: 2d8 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9x10=90 ft.
Round 1 Perception: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Those of you who rolled under 10, feel free to take 10. There's enough time since these goblins are moving maybe 10 ft. per round.
The goblins seem to take forever as they drag their treasure behind them. One of the goblins, perhaps their leader, sits atop this covered object like a king. He sneers and whips the dogs to pull faster. Meanwhile the other three goblins walk in front. The goblins all wear armor that seems to be made from junk, and they wield dogslicers accompanied by shields. The last goblin carries a bow along with his whip.
Those who can understand the goblin language hear the following:
"It good find yes? Goldfinder find good stuff."
"Yes yes, Seven Tooth make new weapons now. Kill longshanks soon. Maybe find last of Birdcruncher and make them do more killing."
"Birdcruncher too weak. Birdcruncher no like fighting. Only Mosswood magic can make Birdcruncher fight, like yesterday."
"SHUTTUP FLOWERS OR SQUIRRELEYE SHOOT!! PUSH NOW!!"
That's when the three goblins race to behind the large object and start pushing it. The group speeds up slightly as they keep heading down the road.
How close do you want the goblins to get before you strike? They are currently at 90 ft. and if they keep to the road will eventually get to 20 ft.

1. Surprise Round!
2. Azeri
3. Goblins
4. Everyone else
The goblins push along the road without noticing a single person. The leader is too busy bossing the others around, while they are too distracted to be actively searching. The goblin dogs, however, do take notice of something in the bushes. They both make eye contact with Helgarr 20 ft. away.
Goblin A, Goblin B, and Goblin C are pushing the large object. Goblin Leader is sitting ontop of the object. Goblin Dog A and Goblin Dog B are tied to the object and are not surprised of Helgarr. They are all 20 ft. from you.
You may all make a single standard OR movement action for your surprise round (including Helgarr).
LET THE SLAYING BEGIN!
Azerienzal
Azeri waits patiently, holding himself back from charging the creatures and cutting them to smithereens, as he steps out of the brush, but only five feet from Ali.

Ali reaches out, white runes wreathing his hand, as he touches Azeri on the back, sending his energy coursing through the bears body, urging him to grow, to double in size.

Furnok draws and fires his bow to signal the ambush to begin. The arrow flies through the air before catching the goblin leader in the side. He screams in pain (a high pitched, girly goblin scream) and curses at Furnok. Meanwhile, three spellcasters (Ali, Vandra, and Cleo) all begin to chant. Azeri steps forward and suddenly grows 10 ft. tall! Jeaux's glaive glows slightly, and Cleo... oh Cleo. Raising her hands to the sky, the little halfling conjures all sorts of gnarly roots to grasp at all the goblins and goblin dogs in the area. The goblin leader cowers on his perch, but the other goblins aren't quite as lucky. One of the goblins gets snatched up by the roots and can barely move. The other two goblins along with the goblin dogs find themselves waist deep (snout deep) in roots.
Helgarr steps forward, bardiche at the ready, while Maria takes the opportunity to observe. She silently searches for the opportune moment.

DM TreasureFox
Try as he might, Azeri, the now lumbering giant, lurches forwards clumsily as he swipes at the goblin leader. Unfortunately for him, the massive claws scrape across the goblin's armor, shredding a portion off its breast. The goblin leader looks shaken, but unhurt.

Without warning, the two goblin dogs spring into action and dart AWAY from the battle! At full speed they drag the wrapped object towards the forest on the other side, with a scared looking goblin riding on top. The roots dig in, making it hard to pull, but the goblin dogs pull with all their might in sheer panic. They manage to pull the object (and goblin) just to the edge of the woods, but not without a chance for Azeri to take another swipe!
The entangled goblin manages to crawl out of the root's hold, and darts out of the area while drawing his shield. He stands next to Azeri, lining up a flank for his allies. The other two goblins also draw their shields and get next to Azeri. They have enough time to take a swing each at him. Both dogslicers fail to pierce through the eidolon's natural armor.

Helgarr
Seeing that both Ali and Vandra are using magic to boost Azeri and Jeaux, Helgarr understands they should be the ones taking the frontline, and thus stands close to Cleo, Maria and Furnok, offering a safety area for his companions to attack the goblins from a distance.
Plan is to stand near the ones using ranged attacks, bardiche ready to strike at any that come for them, and protecting them. If Maria isn't visible, she stands next to Cleo and Furnok, hoping to AoO anyone that comes for our mobile artillery.
DM TreasureFox
Out of nowhere, Maria the great pops up and makes a masterful shot. The arrow from her new bow whips right through the air to strike the goblin leader right between the eyes. He makes a sudden gasp before falling lifeless on the forest floor.
Meanwhile, Ali rushes over to Azeri to give him a little more protection from battle. With a quick touch and a few words, Azeri gains a golden protective shell of energy. Vandra further increases Jeaux's strength, before she hops into the fray to strike at goblin C. Unfortunately for her, the goblin manages to deflect her attack off his shield.
In the back, Cleo and Furnok each notch an arrow and send it into the fray. Cleo shoots at a goblin dog, but the arrow flies into a nearby tree. Furnok however sets his sights on the melee fight. It is difficult to find a moment to shoot the goblin instead of Azeri, but Furnok manages to graze the goblin across the cheek. It squeaks in surprise.
Helgarr brandishes her bardiche to protect the archers and Vandra, just in case the dexterous goblins manage to weave through the fight for a weaker target.

As the goblin dogs race into the forest, the remaining three goblins fight on completely unaware of their lack of support. Their battle tactics should surprise the party, when Goblin C withdraws through the roots, pulling out his sling in the process. Goblin A decides to take a swipe at Ali instead of the now super tank Azeri, but still fails to deliver a solid slash. Goblin B, however, takes a step to the side and flings his dogslicer at Jeaux. As if in slow motion, the blade targets right for her throat, but at the last moment Jeaux miraculously sidesteps the wicked dagger and it flings into a tree.

Is what they were dragging still here or was it firmly attached and went with them?
DM TreasureFox
Vandra, Jeaux can't attack from 5 feet, she has to use the 10ft. reach. Only polearm archetype fighters can use a reach weapon from 5 feet, but they suffer a -4 to hit. The goblin took a 5ft. step away and then threw his dagger at Jeaux.
The goblin dogs dragged the thing through the woods with them.

Azeri lashes out at the beast that attacked Jeaux, trusting that Ali can take care of himself for a moment.

The group seems to be cleaning up fairly well. With a charge from the magically infused Jeaux, another goblin falls under her glaive. Unfortunately for our archers, arrows fly everywhere EXCEPT where they are SUPPOSED to fly. Thankfully, no one in the fray has gotten hurt... yet.
Helgarr and Maria both dash around the roots to catch up with the goblin dogs. The dogs are slowed down, otherwise this would be a very hard chase. Maria and Helgar both make headway upon their target, dashing past trees, roots, and bushes. However they still need more time to fully catch up.

Special: Since the Goblin dogs are bound, I will take the lowest of their rolls and count that for the both of them. In this case... they rolled the same.
In an absolute panic for self preservation, the last remaining goblin also charges after the goblin dogs, yelling "Help!! Help!! Somegoblin help!!" The most amazing thing, however, is he speeds faster than any goblin seen before and nearly catches up to the goblin dogs instantly!
For initiative I'll merge Azeri back with the rest of the group. Right now we're starting a chase scene which for simplicity will only include flat dexterity checks. In the future I might become more evil and throw Acrobatics checks and the like in there. Those of you who want to run after Maria and Helgarr may do so, just keep in mind that there's an entanglement of roots in front of you, and I'll need Reflex saves if you run through it.
