Kumari Azar |
I guess I should take my ready action from last round now?
Ready Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Firebolt Dmg: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
And this round:
Move: just NE of Darius.
Standard: Cure Light via Wand on Darius
CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Darius Marel |
Darius collapses in a heap when the elf strikes him. Moments later, his eyes flutter open and he gasps as his body absorbs the magical healing from Kumari.
HP from +6 to -2, then back to +5.
DM Rickmeister |
Nobody going to do anything? Everyone is silent for the last couple of days...
DM Rickmeister |
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought I made it clear the elf was dead :D
Sorry guys, the boards have eaten my post.
For future reference, you can poke me, I check this a few times a day :D
The elf is stabbed and sliced by Horatius and Theor's combined efforts. She falls down, uttering two short words "Irren Tilsaviel"
Edit: Kumari, wands of CLW only cures 1d8+1.
Darius Marel |
Ok, then I'm at 3 HP
Darius picks himself up groggily. His features are still quite distorted, but the wild look in his eyes is gone, for now. He lets out a low groan.
"What happened? Was I hit? Need to rest..."
He "sits" back down so quickly, it's almost like he fell down on his backside.
Horatius Lartius |
Horatius stands over the dead elf. Blood, both his own and their opponents is splattered about his armor. His rapid, heavy breathing is obvious as his shoulders rise and fall and his chest expands and contracts. As the moments go by the pace of his breathing slows and he says without turning, "We should press on."
Reaching into his pack he removes a potion and drinks.
CLW potion : 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
HP to 8/14
Bayani Nishu |
Did Theor drop the elf? If she went down before Bayani's turn, he wouldn't have cast True Strike.
Bayani examines the elf, checking for life-signs. Heal check, untrained: 1d20 ⇒ 12 If she is dead, he will then search the body.
Kumari Azar |
Kumari will use her wand on Horatius and Darius.
CLW on H: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
CLW on D: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Looking over the fallen elf, "Such a waste, and I imagine there will be more blood shed before this is over. Let us get on our way."
Kumari will Stabilize her if she is not dead yet.
Horatius Lartius |
As his remaining wounds knit and close Horatius seems more himself despite the fur and fangs obscuring his features. Turning he gives a brief bow to the cleric and offers his thanks.
Wiping the blood from his blade and face he prepares to set out when the party is ready.
DM Rickmeister |
Kumari, CLW is only 1D8 +1!
Bayani you cast it, Horatius dropped the elf.
Anyone wants to do anything?
The wind blows through the tree tops. By the time Kumari reaches the elven archer, there is no pulse left.
Bayani Nishu |
Bayani searches the elf's body for useful items, any signs of who she is or where she came from, and anything else of note, while murmuring a burial prayer to the common elven deities (Calistria, Desna, Nethys, and the Elven pantheon).
Darius Marel |
"Thanks Kumari." Says Darius. He takes a moment to look himself over.
What's happening to me, to all of us? If this is what Pathfinders face, maybe I'm not cut out for it.
He looks around the area, trying to identify any other possible threats or dangers.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
DM Rickmeister |
Bayani Nishu |
Any Holly and Mistletoe, holy symbol, or other indication this is a druid? That outlay of equipment makes me suspect so.
Bayani moves the body of their foe to a secluded spot in the brush, and drags the body of the crocodile next to her. "I wish I had known who she was or what her motivation was in attacking us. For all we know, had we been able to come to terms with her, she might have been able to aid us."
Bayani Nishu |
The scrolls should go to Kumari for now, the silver arrows distributed among those with bows. Either Theor or Horatius should use the bow.
Once the useful gear is distributed among the party, Bayani is ready to go.
DM Rickmeister |
I'll assume Theor is ready as well!
After walking for little over two hours, you reach a clearing in the forest. It's obvious this would be the structure "Briar Henge" you were looking for.
It is a bristling fortress. The compound is roughly circular and approximately 100 feet across. The walls are made of tangled thorn bushes twelve feet high, although the compound does not appear to have a roof. The only break in the prickly wall is a gap five feet wide and eight feet high. Hanging ivy covers this doorway and blocks the view of the interior of the compound.
DM Rickmeister |
Kumari: hard to see from the outside.
Theor: You sneak to the entrance?
Horatius Lartius |
"Be wary. We're dealing with druids, those vines may well be more than they seem."
Horatius draws his weapon and watches the ranger advance. As he does so he scans the area checking the top of the thorn wall for anyone or anything that might be perched up there.
Perception : 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
How far are we from the entrance? Horatius would like to get in charging range of the entrance if possible without breaking cover.
DM Rickmeister |
Map updated under my name, sorry, forgot to say..
Horatius: charging: it is quite far.
Bayani Nishu |
Bayani looks down at himself and sees a bit of blood coming from under his armor. He realizes that he has been ignoring a significant wound, and returns to Kumari as quietly as he can. "I think the animalistic urges are affecting me as well, a little -- I ignored my own wounds, just as, I think, Darius and Horatius have. Can you use your wand, my lady?"
Darius Marel |
"Thanks Bayani." says Darius as he look shimself over carefully. "I have some memory of falling down, and being awoken just a moment later. I can't seem to find any current injuries, though."
Further up thread Kumari did use her wand on Horatius and me. I am at full HP, even after adding +1 instead of +3 to the healing.
DM Rickmeister |
Don't push her wand for one more HP Bayani, unless it's your own.. Those things ain't cheap you know ;)
Theor Garess |
Theor holds his hand up to his ear and then covers his eyes, making sure the others can see him, hoping they get the jist. Staying low and hidden he continues looking around to try and figure out what is making the noise.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
DM Rickmeister |
Theor, you can hear it's coming from "inside" the Briar Henge. Can't 'see' it from where you are standing, but so far you have not heard the sound stop.
Bayani, no problem :)
Kumari and Bayani move around? Darius and Horatius, what do you do? Remain in the edge of the forest?
Bayani Nishu |
Bayani beckons to Darius and Horatius, hoping they can stay together as they begin circling the henge, let's say to the west. Bayani will stay in the trees, hoping it will help them remain hidden.
Stealth, taking 10 if he can: 10 + 3 = 13
Horatius Lartius |
Horatius nods his assent and following the group. As they start to circle the hedge and idea occurs to him and he digs out a flask of Alchemist Fire.
"If we can not find another entrance perhaps we can make one...or at least cause a distraction."
