Now slightly confused if we're into the next round or not. If we are, then Teral, unable to get past the rest into melee, will take a (terrible) shot at the last skeleton with Acid Splash. That's at a -4 from a lack of Precise Shot, mind, so the chances of actually hitting aren't great. But it's what he's got, so there we go regardless.

Valeria Baladin |

Bellicus hasn't acted in either round. That could make a difference!
Mike: Not sure about etiquette in PbPs: Will you have our PCs act if the player is absent, just to move things along?

Mike the GM |

I have been skipping people (assuming a "delayed action") when they don't post after more than a day or so. I could post an action for them instead, if that would make things easier to track.

Valeria Baladin |

No prob!
On that note, I'm going on vacation tomorrow for a week, and probably won't be able to post more than once or twice until I'm back.
Mike: I think I've established Val's personality well enough. Feel free to run her as an NPC as needed.
Five more uses of Channel Energy today.

Just want to note that Elion is making me laugh so hard with his posts.
Tks. Now if he can survive pissing off Bellicus... :-)
By the way, I've use the technique of interrupting a potential fight with an inane question in real life and it works pretty well. It takes a little while for most people to work themselves up to a fight. An interruption takes the wind out of their sails and they have to start all over. Most of the time they seem to decide that it's too much effort and they break it off. It might help that I'm a 6'1" guy with a bead and 25 years military experience, Elion doesn't have that advantage.

Good stuff, everyone. I will post some treasure soon (woohoo!) and you all can discuss what happened and what you are going to do next!

Teral Saevus |

Agh! Sorry about not posting the last few days - I've headed out for vacation with most of my extended family, and the internet has been weird. I'm assured that the internet is going to be more solid for the rest of the time, but obviously, I'm still going to be distracted by being here, so my posting will be spotty at best.

Mike the GM |

Hope everyone had a fun 4th. I wanted to let you all know that I'm getting married this weekend and won't likely be posting much until the 17th or so when I get back from my honeymoon. I want to encourage you all to continue posting during that time and I think enough has happened lately that you certainly have enough to talk about in-character. Let's see some more character development! :)
I would also like to reward you for this continued posting, so those of you who continue to post regularly will get a hero point or something. Or if you need a break, that's okay too.
I'll try to post your treasure tomorrow, but no guarantees. (I am working on a spreadsheet, which I use for all my games. It'll be cool.)
Questions?

Leynus Chet |

Congrats, Mike! I hope everything goes perfectly. Over here it's sweltering, so in particular I hope the weather's nice.
I'm around. Considering those fights probably took place within less than five or ten minutes of each other, I'm sure Leynus would love to take a seat and talk for a while.

Congrats, Mike!
My spouse and I just celebrated our 19th anniversary this week (which is one reason we're on vacation).
I wish you as good a marriage as I've had!

Mike the GM |

Okay, it's taken me a little longer than expected to get back in the swing of things, but we should be moving again soon! Thank you for your patience.

Valeria Baladin |

Val, that's me next weekend in Newport. But I'm around!
Newport Folk Fest is amazing! I've been, but the last time I was there was the early 1990s. I was at the Grassroot Festival. I was hoping to get to Falcon Ridge, but it doesn't look like it's in the cards this year.

Mike the GM |

I'll post the treasure here when I get a chance - there isn't much so far - along with the system we'll be using to divide it evenly.

Mike the GM |

I added a "dungeon map" - see the top of the page. I'm thinking later I may label it with room #'s and maybe a "you are here" indicator, but for now it seems fairly straightforward. You are in the southern room with the stone door. So, what are you going to do??? :)

Akshara is going to follow Bellicus' lead and stay in the front. She'll wind up wherever he goes, but I think their plan is to find the source of the scuttling and make it non-scuttling and more squeak-dead.
To be technical.

Mike the GM |

I was waiting to see if more folks would post what they're doing in terms of the rubble/stone door/big wide room, buuuut... I think we'll just move things along... time to get this ball rolling again!
Valeria - I am just using Photoshop for the maps. The floors are all scans I took of some tiles I have. Is it the best way to make digital maps? Maybe not. But since I already have Photoshop it's the cheapest, and it doesn't involve learning anything new. :)

Just a general heads-up, for the month of August I won't have much weekend posting time. I'm in crunch-time on a Pathfinder project that needs to be done at month end and packing/preparing to move at the beginning of Sept (provided the apartment is ready and it doesn't get pushed back again x_x).
Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up on that! :)

Mike the GM |

Thanks for letting us know. Weekend posting has been and may continue to be rough for me, as well, to be honest.
We're about to get to one of the (in my opinion) most fun parts of the module though, with plenty of role-play opportunity and lots of awesome decision-making. So I'm looking forward to that!
