By the way, I will be at GenCon starting Wednesday and ending Mondayish. I don't anticipate being able to post during that time, so feel free to bot Bellicus. (It shouldn't be hard, just assume you're the leader of this band of fools and treat the tiefling like the expendable resource she is.)

I am officially jealous. August is one of the busiest times of year at my job, and it's a vacation blackout month.

Just a heads up guys, I'm finally moving into my new apartment over the next few days and will be painting the rooms and doing a little bit of touch-up work on the place. After tonight my posting availability will be a little sparse until I get settled in, probably Monday or Tuesday.

Back from the move! Woo! Internet is down until Comcast deigns me worthy of updating my residence stuff, so I'm only able to post from the office. We'll see how slow that winds up being ;)

I hate to say it, but I think we may be suffering from a disappeared GM. A week and a half with nothing...not exactly giving up hope yet, but I begin to worry.

Really though, sorry for going AWOL. It was not my intention to leave you hanging. Life circumstances combined to make things difficult for a little while. But all is well and we shall now continue your regularly scheduled adventure! I am now back to posting at least daily. I am dropping the other game that I'm playing in so as to make sure that I can devote all my PBP time to this baby.

Man-- I never really considered how devastating stinking cloud could be for low-level characters!

My gnome sorceress with the Elemental (water) bloodline will definitely be picking up that spell for my real-world Skull and Shackles game when she gets to Level 4.

Yeah, it's pretty nasty! In these cramped quarters, though, the mephit doesn't really pose a threat to you inside the cloud, because it's pretty likely to fail its save...

Just looked up stinking cloud... I was thinking it was a second-level spell. It's third-level. Makes more sense that it's so devastating to low-level characters!

Delivering some good news: I was officially tapped to do some work on an upcoming Paizo Adventure Path, The Mummy's Mask! It comes out next year, and while I can't talk too much about my involvement I figured I'd let you all know in case deadlines delay my posting here any. I'm pretty pumped! :)

That's really cool. I had my eyes set on Legacy of Fire as a desert-themed adventure to run locally, but maybe now I'll wait for this.

And, yes, Leynus, from what I've read, it will be desert themed. This is the first AP that's gone to Osirion, so expect sand dunes, pyramids, curses, traps and (of course) mummies!

I'm still waaaaaay more excited about Iron Gods, but that's to be expected.

It indeed is desert-themed. The Mummy's Mask is full of high-adventure and tomb-exploring in Osirion! :)

Fingers crossed that I'll be carried on to Iron Gods. I rrrrreally want to work on that.

Uh, this is probably a little late, but I should apologize for the creation of such tension.

I was intending to just make yet another jab at Bellicus, but I laid the jerkitude on too thick. I hope that it doesn't affect the future development of Bellicus and/or of party cohesion in an adverse way, though I suppose that that could be interesting.

I imagine Leynus will meet his fate at the hands of someone he insulted (if we don't all die horribly by some monstrosity in the Citadel), so if he did help transmogrify Bellicus into a meaner, more fascist self all I did was expedite that. I just didn't and don't want to limit the ways in which our group may go, and I fear I may have done so.

Don't worry about it, Leynus. Bellicus is an insufferable jerk, and I'm sure that by the end of this adventure, being around you all will soften his rough edges. I have no intention of playing an unreformed racist the entirety of the game, that's for certain! I'm also fully cognizant of how his inflexibility limits the options for everyone else involved, and that's the last thing I want to encourage. That's a major reason he chose to sit out the negotiations with Yusdrayl - I figured it was a good way to stay true to the character's core, but still do the smart play for the group.

Yeah, I have total faith in Bellicus' player/character. Heh, his back-and-forth with Akshara is some of my favorite stuff. Good-natured friction!
