the crowd is too thick to pick out an individual person.
Sydney:
The executioners hand hovers over the teiflings eyes for a second and twitches before he closes the eye lids. The thought seems unimportant though by what you realize next. As the words "He's dead" make their way across the crowd you realize that you have heard that voice before. It takes you only a second to place the voice as that of the elf in the dream you had just awoken from.
That would be how the facts lay themselves out. The elf in your dream was never confirmed as the Duranu that Alana spoke of but you are smart enough to put the pieces together
Adrien and Mallichatt, if you break 20 on any of your checks let me give you the additional information . Otherwise you can post with the thought that Lugen seems to be telling the truth.
I believe now is the time to find our "friend" and retreat, hopefully we will able to digest the information better then that beer the dwarf gave me for dinner...

MAllichatti's eyes narrow as the eyes are being closed. Strange he would notice that little detail. But, for all he knew the executioner probably had to break wind. BEst not to make too much of it for now. He had bigger demons to slay.
The executioner follows the cart carrying Lugen's body. Two Hell Knights are leading a mule at the front of the cart. With the crowds as thick as they are, you are able to follow pretty easily. The two hell Knights at the front make sure the cart is given plenty of room to move through the crowds. As the cart makes it way farther from the high marketplace the streets open up and the cart moves along more quickly. After about fifteen minutes of travel, a cry echoes from the nearby roof tops, "Death to Hell Knights!" Arrows flurry from rooftops, hitting the two Hell Knights, the mule and just missing the executioner, who yells "Get down. Almost instantly a mist springs up around the card, shielding all vision into that area.
If you would like, you can enter combat. Roll initiative and state your first action. If not, I will proceed with you watching.

Adrien watches as the rope snaps Lugens neck. Damn....now we're really screwed. he thought. Going through what Lugen had just told him, he realized something. They were responsible for Lugen's capture. They had pointed every head of house, every authority figure to him. He didn't seem upset though, almost like he knew of his fate. It makes sense that he would have suspected this. But now they had to focus on their new job. Find Sydney, and then find the halfling. Lovely. Time to scan the crowd, must try to find this woman and her familiar.
Search for Sydney (Perception) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
It seemed like this woman would be our missing puzzle piece in the first step of things.
Lugen seems to be telling the truth. As the executioner is going to close the teifling's eyes, you notice him hesitate for a second and make a very quick gesture, as if he were casting a spell.
After the event you start scanning the crowd for a female that matches Sydney's description. As the crowd starts dispersing you notice a female matching Sydney's physical build hurrying towards the back of the platform.
You figure out pretty quickly that she is following the cart carrying Lugen's body. The executioner is following the cart and two Hell Knights are leading the mule pulling the cart. Early in following her you make use of the dispersing crowd. It becomes more difficult as the cart starts taking less populated streets.
Sydney:
Perception Check please.
Mallichatti, Molos, and Vince:
Ignoring your comments, Adrien stands tall and starts looking through the crowd. His eyes top straying and he focuses on a point. Without a word he ducks through the crowds and starts hurrying away towards the platform.
If you wish to follow make a stealth check. No one would be wearing more than light armor right now.
Ok. So. Instead of going to the inn, we're going elsewhere. Furtively. Excellent. Just what I wanted to do. I roll my shoulders and trail along with the others, feeling stupid and conspicuous.
After a while of following the executioner, you realize you are being followed. You spot an elf who seems to know what he's doing when he accidentally bumps into somebody who yells sharply at him. The teifling, and two humans are easy to spot. The four people are keeping their distance from you
You will have noticed this before the attack on the cart. You can act on this information or continue to the attack and enter combat or observe.

Sure if i really need i can cast a vanish spell (duration 5rd)if i think the new persona had a chance of being spotted if she is all alone in an alley. the perception is to see if i am still followed by the same people after that of course
based on that logic you will need to become invisible. This will give you 5 rounds to act. I'm going to assume you will go invisible, run away, change your disguise, resume visibility and walk back onto the street the cart is on from a side street. Per disguise chevk rules i roll the check and keep it secret(keep players from refreshing disguises until they get a good one) so unfortunately the check of 28 won't stand. Please confirm and I'll move to the others stealth checks.
the female you are following casts a spell and disappears. Please make a perception check and then state your first act. I'll reconcile them in order of initiative mods . For the purposes of this, you are acting on round 1 and the person you are following has acted in the surprise round. In this scenario, because of a lack of memory, spell craft checks will not tell you more than what your eyes saw, that the spell makes something invisible.
Well. I guess it's a good thing I followed the others. That woman's gotta be Sydney.
Which is of course a problem. Since she is actively trying to avoid us. In a rather effective manner too. Maybe Lugen didn't tell her about us? He didn't exactly have a lot of time, it's possible. Well crap. Now what?
"Look... Sydney? Yeah... look, could we possibly not do the whole cat and mouse chase scene thing? I'm kinda lazy, and running around all over the place looking for you just isn't my idea of a good time. Sooo... any chance you could not be undetectable?"
I am so cunning. No wonder I'm such a successful mercenary.
A female does not reappear. Molos, Adrien, Vince and Mallchatti, how would you like to act?
Sydney:
I am going to pick up your story line at the attack on the cart. Roll initiative if you wish to enter combat and state your first action. Or you can just observe.
The hellknights are taking the body somwhere, which means they fear some enterprising indivdual has a way of getting answers out of a corpse. Lets get the corpse and then hide it, even in death we can get the answers out of him.

Sydney will get inside the fog her current goals are: to not loose the executioner from her sight. She figured that he has plan this attack and it mostly to get rid of those hellknights that are against him. Should he be in real unexpected danger she will help then.
Please roll Init. Also, I'm going to wait to see if the others continue to follow the cart. They will be at the scene as well. To clarify, you think the executioner arranged the attack? I can't quite follow the pronouns.
"Have we wasted enough time with these games? I came looking for answers and the closest I got was just hung to death."

"Hate to say it, but I agree with Molos. No point in wasting a potentially valuable resource. If we can get any information from it, then it's worth a shot," I grumbled, darting into a side alley and motioning the others to follow. Hopefully nobody was paying too much attention.
Those of you that want to follow the cart without being noticed will have to do as a Vince did. There is not cover in the street to use that has not already been compromised by your scene.
