I understand. I just don't know if we'll be able to find a new GM or if things will get bogged down again. I think that we've had at least 3 GMs so far for this game.
Hello my friends.
My profound apologies for my absence, and I wholeheartedly apologize for not popping in with a note or two over the intervening time.
Basically....Covid happened. Got it, Had to deal with the kids' online school while recovering. So busy, I became exhausted both mentally and physically.
Spent the last two months slowly working myself out of that space. Reduced my work somewhat, and finally feel I have the breathing space to return to my travails here.
Hope everyone is doing well. I understand if too much time has passed, but I'm willing to continue if you are.

I’m a bit torn on this. On the one hand, those spells would be a good way to turn enemies into allies. On the other hand, it is forcing them to have amnesia and being brainwashed onto our side. Would that be evil? Maybe I’m thinking too deeply about this.

I agree, that deliberately brainwashing enemies into your loyal followers, as often as possible, isn't too nice.
So far, Edward's been more supportive and a romantic. I admit, he has done 2 less morally savvy acts, but under his belief that by doing so, he was protecting his friends from further and future harm.
(Sorry Caulky, for making you believe a devil is after your soul :P )
Though i don't see Edward wiping memory drives left and right, but saving it for dire circumstances only. And who knows, maybe by then it won't be as important to have.
Modify memory is a fun one though, for bypassing social obstacles.

Big storm went through.....no power till Tuesday earliest, so no update from me till then.
We lost power for 4 hours last night in central Indiana.

Sorry for the new absence, seems RL just doesn't want to give me the time to run this and my other games; more work, some more health issues, etc.
I was going to get a post in, but I'm off to a cottage for two weeks to decompress and re-charge, so didn't seem fair to post then disappear for another two weeks.

I know the delays on my part may have caused some disengagement among you guys but I want this game to have a good momentum going forward.
Earlier both Diana and Issac posted questions and I waited to give the others a chance to respond, but no one did.
That's why I did the re-check on our willingness to continue.
You guys have done some excellent inter-character interactions in the past, please continue to do so , it keep everyone's interest engaged!
That's said, to move us along, I'm going to assume everyone is ok with a Parley with the other Captain.

If we can talk about this here, I’m thinking about dropping the diplomacy and trying to intimidate him. Something along the lines of “the toll we pay will be your lives”. Meaning that they can keep their lives as the toll and they give us the ring. Just wanted to get some thoughts from everyone on whether we should keep with diplomacy, try intimidation, or just attack. I would prefer not to instigate a fight.
