Exousia Fear save: 1d20 + 23 + 4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 23 + 4 + 4 + 2 = 40
Azata Fear save: 1d20 + 16 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 16 + 4 = 40
Azata Reflex save: 1d20 + 11 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 11 + 4 = 22
Results:
Party has +10 on Fear save (+4 Heroes Feast, +2 Good Hope, +4 Bub)
Everyone failed their Fear saves except Friar and the Azata, so Alie, Bub, Exousia, and Valgrim are shaken (-2 attacks, saves, and checks).
Party has +7 on Reflex save (+4 Bub, +2 Good Hope, +1 Haste)
Everyone fails Reflex save except Friar who succeeds on natural 20
Bub would have made a 42 on the nose except shaken penalty reduces it to 40
Damage:
Alie: Shaken, 108 cold damage is absorbed by Protection from Energy, 12 points left
Azata: 26 cold damage due to incorporeality and resist cold 10
Bub: Shaken, 42 cold damage
Exousia: Shaken
Friar: No effect
Valgrim: Shaken, 42 cold damage
Alie, Exousia, and Valgrim who is delaying are up before the Erinyes!

Friar Ferez |

Was everyone waiting for me? My apologies..I lost internet for a week but now it's back.
Exousia flies up to Angel #2 and strikes at her with her holy blade:
Attack: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (8) + 30 = 38
Damage: 4d6 + 2d6 + 39 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 5) + (5, 6) + 39 = 63
AC: 37.

Death-Lok |

I was waiting for anyone to post...lol.
Exousia's years of combat have taught her that she only drew blood from the Erinyes on her strike because she caught her opponent unaware. She knows her next blows will have to be more skillfully placed. However, her massive blow is enough to anger the Erinyes Mortal Hunter, though it is telling that the red-winged warrior is only slightly injured with that blow!
Damage: 63 to Erinyes #2.
Alie is up..Valgrim also, unless he continues delaying.

![]() |

Alie grabs her Greater Madimize rod and uses a municipal point to cast mythic Chain Lightning, first st the dragon, then bouncing to the evil devils.
200 points of damage. D.C. 29 Reflex for half. Used first charge of that rod.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Valgrim uses Mythic Power to Fleet Charge Lashonna, drawing AoO, as he flies to her:
Fleet charge: 1d20 + 47 ⇒ (11) + 47 = 58
Damage: 2d4 + 2d6 + 48 ⇒ (2, 1) + (4, 2) + 48 = 57

Municipal? I assume you mean Mythic. Can you include some SR rolls in your post? Lashonna is mythic but not the erinyes.

Death-Lok |

Valgrim uses Mythic Power to Fleet Charge Lashonna, drawing AoO, as he flies to her:
Fleet charge: 1d20+47

Lashonna finally gets to see the famed dwarf who has been killing her minions up close and personal. Despite his fear, the ranger flies in and dodges at the last minute as the dragon's bite caches nothing but air! He then crashes into the vampire's undead flesh where his hatred for the undead and his falchion take over and he starts tearing into her musculature. Valgrim can tell invisible wards of force energy protect the massive dragon, but despite her grand protections, Valgrim lands three mighty blows that cause Lashonna to scream in pain!
AoO on Valgrim as you fly in!
Bite: 1d20 + 41 ⇒ (2) + 41 = 43...missed!
Valgrim, I believe you forgot to factor in Shaken state but -2 penalty does not negate the three hits.
In her buffed state, Lashonna's AC is 53 and has DR 15/magic so she takes the following hits: 57+66+111= 234 damage
Total damage: 297

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Yes, I did forget the Shaken penalty. My bad.
"Bubba, try to debuff the dragon's magical protections!"

Round 1: Erinyes
Lashonna shouts out, "My beautiful warriors, kill the angel, the priest, and shut that half-orc up!"
The winged devils spring into action, with two of the devils delivering devastating blows on Bub and Friar!
Erinyes #1: Smite Charge Attack on Bub: 1d20 + 28 + 4 + 2 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 28 + 4 + 2 + 7 = 53
Damage: 1d8 + 10 + 4 + 18 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 4 + 18 = 37

Damage: 1d8 + 10 + 4 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 4 + 18 = 34
Bub and Azata are up to end Round.

Bublaka |

I am unsure of positions and posting in a hurry, so please adjust as would make sense. Bublaka will step back from the erinyes to avoid the attack of opportunity as her casts greater dispel magic on the great dragon.
Caster level checks: 1d20 ⇒ 111d20 ⇒ 191d20 ⇒ 171d20 ⇒ 18
Bublaka calls on the font of mythic power that wells within his song and gives a rallying cry that further heartens his friends. A single d20 reroll to each ally within 30’ during the next round.

Death-Lok |

Ooops, I screwed up so will need to retcon a little. The dragon's AC is 61 buffed, so Valgrim's attacks all missed, except for the critical. The dragon also had an antilife shell on, which I forgot about that. SR roll for Lashonna: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (9) + 17 = 26...Valgrim's SR was able to penetrate the shell and attack.
Amended damage for Lashonna:
63 damage from Friar's Sunburst
111 damage from Valgrim's critical
80 damage from Alie's Chain Lightning
Total: 254
Bublaka now dispels Lashonna's Antilife Shell, True Seeing, Haste, and Mage Armor bringing her AC down to 57.
Apologies for the confusion.
The Azata, in its incorporeal form, blasts the dragon with its light rays, burning off undead flesh:
RTA: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 14 + 4 = 22...miss
RTA: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 4 = 25
Damage: 2d12 + 4 ⇒ (9, 9) + 4 = 22
Total damage to Lashonna after Round 1: 276.
Friar is up to start Round 2!

Friar Ferez |

Since these devils are too up close and personal for Friar's taste, it is time to test their other saves.

Furthermore, since Friar is on his home plane and devils are nongood outsiders, they are banished back to Hell unless they make DC 30 Will save.
Mythic Power: 4/7

Death-Lok |

Friar's holy magic reverberates through the air causing the devils anguish, as they cover their ears in pain. For one of the them, the sonic vibrations is too much and a rift opens, sucking the devil away! The other two stop moving, as the vibrations cause temporary paralysis and blindness.
The Erinyes are 18 HD.

Banishment: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (5) + 25 = 30...success, blinded and paralyzed 1 round
Round 2: Lashonna
The dragon screams in frustration, as the priest's magic disables her allies for a few seconds. She decides to take out her frustration on the dwarf in front of her. She heals a little and full-attacks the dwarf, with two bites using her mythic power, claws, wings, and tail slap. She rips into the dwarf with her bite and claw, causing damage to kill any other warrior, but the dwarf's displacement saves his life, as Lashonna misses a bite and tail slap on account of it! Valgrim feels the negative energy in her bite and claws, but thankfully is protected from the energy drain! Valgrim also feels an aura of cold surrounds the undead dragon, but again, is protected from its damage. After the melee, Valgrim has been ripped apart, but still stands...barely, to the dismay of Lashonna!
I believe Valgrim's AC vs. undead is 49 (please correct if wrong).

Friar: 34 damage
Exousia: 15 damage
Alie: 0 damage
Since erinyes are paralyzed, whole party can act in Round 2!

Bublaka |

Am I correct in thinking that paralysis will cause them to fall since they unable to move to fly? Is the one that attacked me within reach if I take a 5’ step back toward her?

Death-Lok |

Am I correct in thinking that paralysis will cause them to fall since they unable to move to fly? Is the one that attacked me within reach if I take a 5’ step back toward her?
Thanks, Bub. Yes, the devils' wings stop flapping and they fall prone to the ground. The devil that charged Bublaka is banished. Exousia gets a free AoO on Erinyes #2 as it falls down 30' taking 3d6 - 5 ⇒ (1, 1, 4) - 5 = 1 damage. Erinyes #3 falls prone at Friar's feet.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Ouch, two criticals! I am down to 34 hps. I am thinking about going all out, raging, but that will drop my AC. I will delay to see how bad Alie can hurt the dragon, assuming she can do so.
Bubba, if you take a 5' step, you can coup-de-grace the fallen devil. You were probably thinking it also.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Since I have Friar's permission, Valgrim full-attacks the vampiric dragon! A ragged, bleeding, and almost dead ranger stands before the mighty dragon..."Kyuss has forsaken you, you vampiric lackey, for he has placed you within reach of my undead-destroying blade and my utter hatred for your kind!" With that Valgrim rages, grips his blade with two hands, says a silent prayer for his allies, and tears into the dragon!

Death-Lok |

Lashonna resists Alie's multiple disintegrate spells and is annoyed by the Azata's constant light rays hurting her undead form. However, her greatest concern is the dwarf ranger she was unable to kill! The anger in his eyes is quite apparent and for the first time, in a long time, the vampiric dragon, who had the temerity to plot the destruction of Dragotha, feels fear and she does not like it. She steels herself to weather the dwarf's onslaught, but the first attack is brutal, as his holy undead bane falchion rips through her chest. Lashonna fights the urge to scream, to not give the dwarf the satisfaction of hearing how much pain he just caused. But then his second attack follows seconds later again ripping through her unnaturally tough hide and causing her more pain. She cannot remember ever feeling this threatened. She is weak. In fact, one more powerful blow could end her. She silently prays to Kyuss to let her survive one more blow, so she can prove her worth. In her mind, she swears she hears "You have failed me...you are no longer my Herald!", as the dwarf ranger in all his rage drives the edge of his weapon into her chest cavity! This time, she cannot hold the pain and she screams an ungodly wail, as she feels her form around herself collapse around her, as she returns to her vampiric gaseous form. Luckily, in this form, she can no longer be harmed by the dwarf's subsequent attacks and she tries to flee, but she forgot the golden rule: Kyuss is not a merciful god and he does not forgive failure! Lashonna's gaseous form is drawn upward into the Kyuss' Spire, where dark energies violently surround her form, before she screams again, as her form is dissipated and destroyed forever!
The party feels a sense of great accomplishment, especially Valgrim, who was as close to the mortal coil as he has been in many battles. However, before he can relax and feel Friar's healing energies sweep over him and carry him from the brink of death, his keen sight notices a colossal figure approach and suddenly cast an ominous shadow over him and the party, as the creature dives down from clouds. The fragments of Balakarde's spirit that the party still carries roar to life seemingly screaming for vengeance, as the familiar presence of the first and mightiest dracolich ever lands a scarce 20' from Valgrim, cloaked in a myriad of mirror images (8 in total)! Dragotha smiles and in its chilling voice, it speaks, "Thank you for vanquishing Lashonna for me. It was only fitting that I use you to destroy her as she tried to use you against me. That battle seems to have worn you out, especially you dwarf! I have caught you, as they say, with your breeches down!" Dragotha laughs but its tone quickly turns to anger. "Do not think that I for one second do not remember the pain you caused me in our last encounter when I had to flee for my existence! Or how I owe you centuries of torture for destroying my phylactery! Or for stealing my treasure! No, I aim to make you all burn in my fires of hell for all your offenses against me, starting now!"
The legendary Dragotha summons the hottest raging fire it can summon and breathes a 60' cone of fire that engulfs the party!
Fire damage: 24d10 ⇒ (10, 9, 1, 5, 7, 8, 3, 5, 4, 6, 7, 7, 6, 5, 2, 10, 1, 2, 4, 9, 3, 9, 2, 7) = 132
Reflex DC 44 for half damage!
Bublaka and Alie are currently immune to fire and the Azata is out of range, so Friar and Exousia save with +10 luck bonus, except Valgrim, who is not within 30' of Bublaka, so he must make save normally.
Dragotha now goes at the top of the Round before Friar, so Valgrim is still at 34 hps.
Reminder what these fragments do:
Bublaka carries the Soul of the Artist: It grants him fire immunity and all living creatures, including himself, within 30' of him gain evasion and +10 luck bonus to Reflex saves.
Friar carries the Soul of the Scholar: +10 insight bonus on CL checks to overcome Dragotha's spell resistance and save DCs of spells and spell-like abilities increase by 2. All living creatures within 30' gain immunity to fear and +10 luck bonus on Will saves.
Valgrim carries the Soul of the Slayer: +20 insight bonus on attack rolls; all creatures within 30' gain immunity to paralysis and +10 luck bonus on Fort saves.

Bublaka |

I completely forgot about Balakarde's fragments and its protections. I would have given the wild watcher's fire banner to someone that didn't have other fire protections and I would have worn a different ring since the evasion is redundant. C'est la vie!
EDIT: DM D-L, did the coup d'grace have any effect on the devil? I don't know all of Blackrazor's secrets yet, so it may have special abilities that come into play. I'm hoping a fortitude save that high might be enough, even for one of these.

Friar Ferez |

Friar Reflex save: 1d20 + 18 + 1 + 2 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 18 + 1 + 2 + 10 + 4 = 53 vs. DC 44..no damage
Exousia Reflex save: 1d20 + 15 + 1 + 2 + 10 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 15 + 1 + 2 + 10 + 4 = 39...takes 102 fire damage.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Reflex save: 1d20 + 22 + 1 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 22 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 44..woohoo!
Valgrim sees his life flash before his eyes, as he dives out of the way of the flames, just barely avoiding them! He looks up at Dragotha, "Ya gonna have to try a little harder, Dragotha! I'm still here and Balakarde is just itching for me to hurt you bad!"

Death-Lok |

That +4 competence bonus from your Marshal ability saved his bacon, Bub! And thanks for reminding me about the coup de grace.
Devil Fort save vs. DC 54: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (14) + 23 = 37...fails and dies! Bub, I don't know the powers of the sword as that was the prior DM's weapon and he did not provide me with stats for it.
Dragotha tries to hide the fact that it is upset that the wounded dwarf yet lives and that Bub and Friar escaped his breath unharmed! "Balakarde, so he is helping you from beyond the grave somehow...it's the only explanation as to how you all escaped my flames unharmed. Well, not even Balakarde can help you with this!" Dragotha looks up and nods its head.
Another massive red dragon, this time a living one a little smaller than Dragotha, appears from above the clouds and dives down to within 20' of Exousia, where it waits hovering! Dragotha laughs, "I believe you all remember Brazzemal the Burning, the guardian of my phylactery, who failed me so horribly in the Citadel of Weeping Dragons, when he let you escape with it. Well, I recruited him to aid in your final destruction! I am leaving nothing to chance...your doom is upon you, heroes!"
You see a smile appear on Brazzemal's face, as his vengeance is upon thee! You also see he has not changed its tactics: he is hovering while cloaked in his usual anti-magic field, as before!
The party is up! Hope you're up for the challenge! You have to love when old enemies show up, right? Exousia will get an AoO on the devil as she gets up to full attack her.

Friar Ferez |

Hate the dragon with the anti-magic field! Things got interesting quickly! Figured Dragotha would try to kill us when we have expended resources and are wounded...well played!

Friar delays until after someone dispels Dragotha's mirror images and then moves within 30' of Valgrim and casts an empowered heal on him, healing 225 damage. Then as a quickened action, he unleashes a mythic searing light at Dragotha and as a free action, he passes the Soul of the Scholar to Alie to help her overcome SR and +2 to DC of spells:
RTA: 1d20 + 14 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 14 + 1 + 4 = 37
Damage: 10d8 ⇒ (5, 2, 8, 6, 4, 5, 6, 4, 6, 5) = 51
SR roll: 1d20 + 25 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 25 + 10 = 50
Mythic power remaining: 3/7

Ill get Alie's post up this evening. Going to try a quickened greater dispel on Dragotha and a polar ray in the red dragon.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Alie, Brazzemal, the red dragon, has an anti-magic field constantly on him, so he is immune to all magic and your polar ray. Hence, why we fled last time since none of us could fly without the aid of magic and he likes to stay off the ground.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

How are you quickening a greater dispel? That's a 10th level spell unless you have a Quicken Rod. How about we not fight two wars on two fronts? Maze Dragotha away - even if he gets out next round bec of his genius intelligence - it is a full-round action for him to escape so he loses the round and we can try dealing with Brazzemal and we can rinse and repeat, if needed as you have 6 8th level spells left! Just penetrate his SR and you have +10 on roll!

![]() |

Dammit, you are right about the quickened Gr.Dispel! Don't know why I was thinking three levels instead of four!
Taking the Soul of the Scholar from her teammate, Alie focuses her mind and uses a spell, trying to blink Dragotha out of existence, even if for just a short period of time.
Maze SR check 1d20 + 24 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 24 + 10 = 38
Maze SR check 1d20 + 24 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 24 + 10 = 36

Death-Lok |

Interesting...
Dragotha laughs at the sorceress..."You going to try and disintegrate me, as you did to the Broodfiend? I have been watching you all and learning your tactics. I can resist your little green rays!" Thus, the dracolich is quite surprised when instead Alie opens a portal next to it, which sucks him through the void and off the plane, causing him to yell in frustration, before the void closes!
38 is exactly what you needed to penetrate its SR!
Brazzemal laughs, "Your little parlor trick won't hold Dragotha for long and none of you, except the angel can fly and threaten me and I am immune to all your spells! And for all your skills, you severely lack ranged capabilities. I am your weakness and I will crush you all, right after I eat this winged bi*tch!!"

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Valgrim winks at Alie, "Good job, lass!" He then smiles at Brazzemal, "You are quite right about all of your assertions, except for one thing. There is a big difference between our fight now and before, when you barely escaped with your life as well. I can now fly without your shell affecting me!"
Antimagic Field does not affect Artifacts and deities and Valgrim's piece of the Rod of Seven Parts (an Artifact) allows him to fly.
Spring attack: 1d20 + 39 ⇒ (10) + 39 = 49
Damage: 2d4 + 40 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 40 + (3, 4) = 51

Death-Lok |

You are correct, V in that you can fly for the reasons stated but when you enter the field, you lose your buffs and Strength drops to 20 and your weapon loses +2 enhancement as well as holy ability. So recalculating:
Hit: BA+20+5Str+2favenemy+1MW weapon=+28 hit.
Damage: +7Str+2Favenemy+18powerattack=+27
38 hits exactly its AC and damage is 4+27=31 damage.
Also your AC is now 25.

Friar Ferez |

GM, correct me if I am wrong but the AMF only has a 10' radius from the dragon but right now, Exousia has 15' reach due to Righteous Might spell, so while her sword may shrink to Large and lose its holy ability if it hits the dragon, her other buffs, such as haste and inspire courage should still be in effect.
Attack on prone Erinyes as she tries to get up: 1d20 + 30 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 30 + 4 = 37, use reroll from Bub
1d20 + 30 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 30 + 4 = 42
Damage: 6d6 + 39 ⇒ (4, 1, 1, 4, 2, 6) + 39 = 57
Exousia cries out to Bublaka to see if he will buff her since she can attack the dragon from outside the AMF. Also want to know if devil is alive or dead before posting actions.
Azata's Light Rays are extraordinary abilities, which are not affected by AMF, so it shoots Brazzemal:
Ray #1: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 14 + 4 = 21
Damage: 2d12 + 4 ⇒ (5, 9) + 4 = 18
Ray #2: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 14 + 4 = 38...threat
Confirmation: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 14 + 4 = 25
Damage: 4d12 + 8 ⇒ (2, 11, 10, 1) + 8 = 32

That is correct. Exousia's blow decapitates the Erinyes.

Party is up!

Bublaka |

Bublaka has had two bardic performances running, thanks to the shadowbard, which was doing a countersong. That being unnecessary, or so it seems, the shadowbard will change to inspiring greatness while Bublaka continues to inspire courage.
I am unsure of the interaction, but Bublaka should know: How would a greater dispel magic work vs. an antimagic field?
The bard considers the dilemma of the dragon and slips a ring from his hand to be replaced by another kept in a pouch at his belt. Overdue swapping of the ring of telekinesis for the ring of evasion. Are there potential missiles in the vicinity? They don't have to be close to me, but close to each other. Or one nice-sized rock that I can drop on his head from the tower would be cool. Just tossing that out there.

Valgrim Twin-Axe |

Valgrim full-attacks Brazzemal:
1d20 + 28 ⇒ (3) + 28 = 31
1d20 + 23 ⇒ (13) + 23 = 36
1d20 + 18 ⇒ (17) + 18 = 35
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Magic and buffs make a huge difference...all misses!

Friar Ferez |

You forgot flank Valgrim, +2 would have got you one hit.
Exousia Full-attack:
Attack: 1d20 + 28 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 28 + 2 = 46..hit
Damage: 3d6 + 36 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) + 36 = 49
Attack: 1d20 + 28 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 28 + 2 = 32..miss
Attack: 1d20 + 23 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 23 + 2 = 39..hit
Damage: 3d6 + 36 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) + 36 = 43
Attack: 1d20 + 18 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 18 + 2 = 36..miss
Damage: 92
Regenerates 10 hps = 27 HPs.
Azata continues blasting Brazzemal:
RTA: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 14 + 4 = 37
Damage: 2d12 + 4 ⇒ (4, 10) + 4 = 18
RTA: 1d20 + 14 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 4 = 35
Damage: 2d12 + 4 ⇒ (9, 2) + 4 = 15
Damage: 33
Total damage to Brazzemal: 125+181=306
Friar casts an Empowered Heal on Exousia, curing her of 225 damage and bringing her back to full hps.

Since Alie's spells can't break the antimagic shell, she readies an action to Maze Dragotha when she breaks through.
SR check 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (10) + 34 = 44
SR check 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (16) + 34 = 50
