So I've been thinking of trying this method of group and campaign selection for a week or two. While this is mostly a 'checking interest' thread, I'll probably continue with those who respond to a full on adventure. So here we go.
First
Who wants to play? That's the first question. Who wants to play in another pbp and has the time to do so? If you are such individual, please express your interest. I'm going to ask for some odd details along with your interest.
For Example:
1. I, Mug, want to play in another pbp please.
2. I typically post x to x times a day.
3. I currently play in x amount of pbp games.
4. Some adventures I'm interested in are; Homebrew, Carrion Crown, Skull & Shackles....
5. I usually/would like to fill the role of party ______.
6. I would be willing to fill a different role.
7. I'm a Sagittarius, enjoy basketball, and am fighting a losing battle with hair loss.
Second
We choose a group... well mostly I choose the group based on your answers above, and any other questions I may pose to you.
Third
The selected group chooses the AP, or they might choose a homebrew or a one-off. The only thing I'm sure of on this one is I'll mostly likely start at a level 1 or level 2.
Fourth
We go make characters, play, and have a marvelous time.
Conclusion

2. I (could) typically post 2-4 times a day; maybe less on weekends (I say could because I have just gotten back into pbp, but haven't played here yet...I used to all the time on dndonlinegames however, so I'm reliable) :)
3.I currently play in 0 games here, though have applied for one other (and again, used to play all the time, just not lately)
4. Some adventures I am interested in are: any AP, any homebrew that doesn't stray too far from typical PFRPG - like, I'm not looking for heavy sci-fi, western, no-magic, 8-pt buys, etc. - that said, I tend to enjoy fun homebrew rules or options thrown in though!
5. I tend to like beaters and skill-monkeys, but....
6. I'm totally for trying new classes/roles - leaving my 'comfort zone' is no problem
7. I'm a Pisces, enjoy soccer, golf and almost any type of board/card/video/RP game...and the obligatory walks on the beach.
Love this idea by the way - very different and interesting way to ask for interest. I've always liked the idea of answering odd questions for applicants - gives you an idea of their own personality!
*EDIT* - forgot to mention for #4 that though I would be happy to start with a level 1 build, I am one of those that just gets all giddy when a DM/GM starts a little later in, like 3 or 4.

5+6. Any roll really, though I'm less enthusiastic about purely support oriented characters.

5. I like playing Humans and Half-Orcs (anything really) and typically act as free safety, filling a role that the DM feels is needed but no one has taken... a character actor, as it were.
6. As with 5, above. I am not tied to a race or role.
7. I love to build paradox into my characters... a Fire Wizard pirate (all that WOOD!), a Dhampir Paladin, a Half-Orc noble savage, etc...
Luvin' the 25pt buy AND Level 2. I feel level two allows the player to establish any multi-classing and explain such in the back story. A richer more layered personality and history allows for more hooks and opportunity to RP.

4. Some adventures I'm interested in are: just about any except Skull and Shackles, since I'm already playing that one right now.
5. I find it easiest to play melee maulers; to extend Black Thom's football analogy, a linebacker or defensive end. I'd like to think I could fill any role, but I gravitate towards classes that don't require a lot of bookkeeping.
6. I would be willing to fill a different role.
7. I'm an Aries, enjoy basketball, football, and fantasy football.

1. I, French Wolf, want to play in another pbp please. Have applied to a few lately.
2. I typically post 2 to 3 times a day.
3. I currently play in 2 pbp games. One is moving slowly at the moment and the other is slightly more glacial.
4. Some adventures I'm interested in are; any of the APs apart from Kingmaker and Skull & Shackles.... But preferably a good homebrew set in Golarion (or Greyhawk).
5. I usually/would like to fill the role of party healer. I'm a warrior and priest in my current games. I prefer to be a spellcaster. but after that I get excited about all of them.
6. I would be willing to fill a different role although not so keen on being the warrior again.
7. I'm a Taurean British father and house husband with two kids. I occasionally write for Raging Swan Press and support two teams avidly. Green Bay Packers and Liverpool FC. No hair loss just lots more grey.
My favorite ever character is an arabian bard and a dwarf to boot. Posting his actions and speech made me smile alot.

2. I typically post 2-3 times per day (less on weekends and go "off the grid" when on vacation that is my technologicly impaired time) not to worry vactions are announced in advance with at least 1 week notice and an estimated return date is given.
3. currently in 4 active games, applied to 1 S&S game. and waiting to begin round 2 of the the great PvP epic tournament found here
4. I enjoy homebrew as long as I don't need to relearn a whole new rule set. any AP except S&S, RotRL, or Carrion Crown.
4a. had an idea for a game (started this idea usind World of Darkness but might work with D&D as well...
... I think it could work just not sure how yet.
5. I play the full range of characters. was on a dive caster kick and now I am moving toward combat oriented. I play a wizard in my table top game.

7.I usually bring to the table a character with character. some role-playing flaw, or some personality quirk that adds flavor to the charcter as well as the game situations they are put in. I have bad habit of mis-spellings so please be patient with me I am a product of public education.

5. I usually/would like to fill the role of party striker but only because this is what character I have built. What role do you want to fill? My rogue is quite useful at sneaking and traps and stabs. I have a non-optimal fighter that I could also use. He is probably more comic relief than effective but I am willing to play him.
6. I would be willing to fill a different role. Yes, but currently do not have any builds completed (although sorcerer is close)

4. Golarion based of almost any sort would smile. I'm in a lot of APs but Serpent's Skull, Jade Regent, or Rise of the Rune Lords all sound kind of cool and I have not tried them. But I'd be open to another Skull and Shackles or Kingmaker as long as I got to play a different enough concept from what I'm already playing there. The Falcon's Hollow stuff might also be fun.
5. I've been really wanting to try a Cavalier. Alas, they don't always do well in some of the more dungeony (I scoff at the limitations of the English language) APs. I just like what I've read in the Advanced Player's Guide about them.
6. That said, I can be pretty flexible. I could go for another Oracle or Cleric if a support/healer is needed or just about anything. I don't do the druids, not sure why and I think I have enough rogues though ;)
7. I'm a slowly balding Taurus and it says in my horoscope that we don't believe in this astrology ##$# ;)

1) Falcon's Hollow sounds good. I do like the Darkmoon Vale. We could try to carve out a Kingdom.
2) Or something urban. Where we try to safeguard the people against an insidious incursion of demons or from below.
3) Or a darklands style underground wilderness adventure based from a dwarven city.
4) A grand romp across the world to travel to far flung countries by land, sea and air to make a magical artefact and save the world.
Just making stuff up to see what people think. Someone will hit a good nerve.

5. I usually/would like to fill the role of party Arcane with a twist. What role do you want to fill? Having played Living in the past I tend to make characters that can act as a backup to another role.
6. I would be willing to fill a different role. Or not. Sure, I tend to like characters that have a utility belt of options to deal with problems which is easiest with casters but possible in any role
7. As this is optional I'll use this to talk about campaigns I've enjoyed. I've found in RL games (haven't played PbP enough to know yet but I suspect it is similar) that a little (but not too much) tension between the characters. This is usually because of morals or goals that each character has, as a result I try to characters with strong goals or morals. Some of my favourite moments in gaming is dealing with a problems that clash with various morals of part members. Additionally a GM who can alter a written adventure or make up their own to connect with those players goals, morals or backgrounds are wonderful.

4. Some adventures I'm interested in are: Mostly homebrew. I enjoy the level of engagement with the environment possible, and I'm not too keen on metagaming/ers. Anything new and refreshing is cool with me.
5. I usually fill the role of party diplomat, but I would like to take on the roll of infiltrator/acrobat/trap-disabler.
6. I would be willing to fill any role, because I can always leave my stamp on a PC.
7. I am terribly intimidated by the fact that there's already over 15 people interested, but that won't stop me from trying. I am a consistent player, and my hope would be that if I am selected, the others will be consistent too. I'm a political science major, and I love sushi and beautiful women. My hair loss has slown down over the last couple of years, so I'm enjoying it whiles I still gots it. The reason I pbp is because it allows me to express a deeper side of my RP that is less common of me at my RL table games. I get to be a writer, and actually think about what my PC would say and do, rather than spitting something out I'm not even sure would actually happen.

2. I typically post 1 to 3 times a day, but potentially far more often when school is out.
3. I currently play in three PbP games. I also run a PbP S&S campaign.
4. I am interested in a homebrew game set in Golarion. My first preference would be a pirate campaign, though not necessarily set within the Shackles; my S&S campaign has me wanting to play a pirate. I would also greatly enjoy a trip to the Darklands or a more forest-based game, perhaps set in Andoran or a similar temperate region.
5. I usually fill the role of a support character, but in this game I think I would prefer to go full DPS.
6. I would be willing to fill another role as needed.
7. I am a grad student attending the MLIS program at Saint Catherine University. I have been playing tabletop RPGs for around 15 years. I enjoy contributing to wiki projects, having spent time working on the PathfinderWiki; I spent an extended period away from the project, but have recently returned and begun contributing once again.

have you seen the TV series "The Cape"? only last 1 season (actually never finished that fully. was a pretty good show just no following. But that show revolved around the "Carnival of Crime".

Alright, thanks for the interest! I'm liking the enthusiasm to get started and now I/we just need to pick a group. I'll say a 5 person group, and I'm really leaning towards Homebrew at this point. It's more work for me, but also potentially more fun for me as I can get creative and so can the players. It'll definitely have a starting level of 2 with 25 point buy. But I digress, since the group will have a hand in the campaign/adventure choice, and we still have to get the group together.

Hope I am not too late for consideration, I am on vacation for the next 4 more days and my ability to check the boards and post has been much less frequent. PLEASE! :)
