Busy day as always on Sunday.
My thought was to have a quick recon mission into the town where some of us go to investigate and listen in, and others go to acquire supplies and possibly pick up information there too.
I'll post up the suggestion soon.

Bromen Spellbane |
On phone only today and tomorrow so no roll20 for me. MIGHT get to my laptop tonite to check the maps, but if not Bromen will follow along 15-20 feet to Marcums side .... On whatever side rick isn't!

Dumb question from the player playing the investigator; on the map, do we just move our meeple to a point among the foreboding sea of black and that indicates where we're searching?

Hello all.
I unfortunately must postpone this campaign indefinitely, if not cancel it altogether. Yesterday afternoon, there was a death in the family, and as of now, I neither have the time, energy, willpower, or want to either run or play any game. I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes you all, and I thank you all for participating thus far. Unfortunately at this present time, I will not be able to continue. Perhaps some time in the future I may come back to Paizo, but for now, I am putting everything to a stop.
Thank you for making this a fun time for me.
Thank you for understanding,
Michael Riter

Hey Michael,
I'm very sorry for your loss. If something happens down the line and you're looking to get back into gaming here, PM me. I'll probably have a game going on and would bbe happy to bring you in board.

Also wanted to add, the players in this rp really stepped up their respective games. Even in the short period of time we've been interacting, there was already a great chemistry brewing. Nice work gang!

Bolest Nositel |

I'm so sorry for your loss, Michael. I completely understand, seriously don't worry about it. If you decide you want to pick things up down the road, you're an awesome GM and I'd love to hop in on another game with you.
Jeff, I feel much the same. This is one of the few games I've played where it felt like the characters were being interacting, instead of players with puppet strings. Your character was awesome, well done

Lady Kheti |

I'm sorry I couldn't continue. I truly loved playing with you guys. Perhaps when things have calmed down for me, and the funeral is out of the way, I can start to slowly come back online. Will you all be here?
I'm sorry for your loss as well. Take all the time you need. Family is the most important thing.
That said, as the others did, I greatly enjoy your game and if you ever want to continue, post here or send a PM.

I will note that I have shifted the story somewhat. Existing characters will likely stay the same, but I am now going for a much darker tone than before. Your characters need not change personalities to reflect this, and in fact, I believe this group to have amazing chemistry... but do be aware that things may seem to want to kick you while you are down. As always, I try my best to avoid having you to roll up a new character but, I thought it only fair to warn you that things may change tones from when I last left you.

Alright, there is also another mechanic that I would like to introduce. It has no effect on YOUR characters, rather the actions of friendly NPCs, and thus the story as a whole. Every so often, when an NPC wants to make a decision on their own, I will post in this discussion forum the choices this character could make (and the character WILL make one of said decisions). Your job is to OOC decide what you want the character to do. This is a personal choice, and you will rarely have time to discuss it in character. Your job is to then PM me what you want the character to do, and I will have it play out within the gameplay thread depending on the tally of the votes.
I want to do this as I wrote up multiple possible branching paths for the NPCs and want you to be able to influence the game world outside of the characters you control. Each decision WILL have an effect on the story that would likely be separate from the decisions your own characters will make.

I officially started up again. Alright guys, lets put on a good show. You all have a party chemistry like none I've seen before and I'm positive that we could perhaps reach the end of this campaign in time. If there is ever a time when I feel like there is a climactic scene coming up, or even a climactic battle, I will talk to you all about setting up a time to perhaps meet via roll20/Google Hangouts so we could set up one or two hours to complete such an event. If nothing works out, that's no matter, we could always do it here... minus the epic music I have picked out or my voiceover narration describing entire scenes.

Doombringer the DM |

Alright, could you all by any chance add whether you have darkvision or a light source, and how far it extends? (Right next to the HP) I am not going to enforce lighting rules during combat (unless you are completely blind)
I mainly need to know for certain long corridors in which you may not be able to see everything.

Doombringer the DM |

Yup. Kheti hadn't responded at all... the Paladin is MIA... and there seema to be a low level of energy from everyone else...
I hate to say it, but is it time to call it?
I'm actually tryimg to get a group together as a live campaign over roll20/ Google Hangouts... hopefully that doesn't fall apart too. I don't even have a fourth party member for that...

Alistair Cooper |

Alistair was left behind at the other table, been watching this if needed but if it dies as well, I am sorry, I had hoped to enjoy one of the tables.

Sorry Doombringer. I realized too late that I'd tipped my hat back into the ring and thus over committed myself rpg-wise. Good luck with the roll20/hangouts game. My rl group has had great success with it so far.
