The GMs should be decided, then they should converse to make game rules, then pick additional players.

A quick question before off to work, and it may just be something to be ironed out. Since I know next to nothing about PFS in general, will Factions need to be picked, and will I need to learn about Prestige?

Thank you!

I have come to believe that this is the best idea. So then, who is willing to be a regular GM?

You are definitely in. I have a feeling that you will be needed to help reign me in.

EDIT: Please join me in the discussion thread.

Hi, I've just started PF (bought the Core rules last week). I've put a character together and am interested in trying him out.

I've no experience in RPG so I'd be one of those newbs you're looking for (if you don't already have enough). I'm looking around the recruitment boards for a suitable first campaign to take part in.

I only have the Core rules and nothing else. If there'd be extensive use of home-brew or other rulebooks this might not be the campaign for me.

Let me know if I might be suitable.

Mderm, I'm NOT one of the people running this particular game, or any others on the boards (yet), but I have a fair amount of experience guiding new players, and ensuring they are having FUN.

You specified that you have zero RPG experience, but are excited and enthusiastic, and have something specific you wanted to do, and worked up a character.

That's. Amazing. Welcome aboard!

When I and my wife helped bring someone into pathfinder a few years back, we as experienced gamers, went and visited, and spent the night. It took a good 6-12 hours to get them through their first character creation, and they are still playing 4?ish years later. (We actually went the whole distance of 1-24ish for that first game, and they had a blast)

If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask! (I'm willing to respond to pm's with questions, as I'm sure are ALOT of people on the boards, and there is always the advice boards to turn to as well.)

I'm going to post this up, and hope things go well for you!

PS: While, again, not running this particular game, from what I've seen, this is probably a better game than some to try and get in on, as (as far as I can tell) are many of the opening tier PFS games advertised.

No no other DM candidates?

There were a couple volunteers on page one. Ravenfall and Edward Sobel, as well as a couple ... maybe by and by volunteers (I am one such. I just don't have the PbP experience to feel comfortable atm).

I CAN GM, I'd just rather not do it right out of the gate, unfortuantely. I don't have a ton of experiance with PbP and would want to play for some time before taking up GMing. My schedule is also rather cluttered for a bit, so I would have time to play, but less time to actually get stuff together to run a scenario.

Like I said on the first page, I'm likely willing to help GM - just probably not for a bit. Probably want to do a few scenarios first.

I'm still working on a character concept. I'm torn between an old age human paladin and a kobold kensai lasso magus.

Apologies Ravenfall, I thought I'd just listed current volunteers. I guess that means there are quite a few that are willing by and by, but only a few currently ready and willing. I don't know if that changes your plans.

No, you're fine. Just reiterating. I do look forward to GMing - I always have a blast doing it.

Went back through the thread pre-work (So a bit more alert) and see that i missed JonGarrett who said he'd be willing to GM and play.

I'd still like to play, and GM by and by, but stopped adjusting the Aegis (Dreamscarred Psionics) I would like to use, until the basics are hammered out. The fluff/person is moderately fleshed out, and the path I'd like to take, but the basic crunch could fluctuate wildly depending on point buy, and well, details.

As primarily a potential player, I'm not going to hop over to the discussion thread just yet and throw my 2 cp around other than: I'm hoping to use a Psionics character. I'm intrigued by some of the unchained stuff (Background skills, uMonk, uRogue....) and am adaptable.

Hi Roonfizzle. Thank you for your kind welcome. Thanks also for the offer of help and guidance. I'm sure I'm going to have fun with PF.

Yes I am looking to play a Warder, also a DSP class, not psionic but Path of War.

I was randomly thinking about things that could be offered (or at least used to come up with new rewards for GM time.)

3rd trait.
Open up some campaign traits.
Races: open up Featured 10 RP, with +1 RP / module run? (This seems both to be too little, and too much if this kicks off well.)

There is ALOT of pent up demand for 3rd party classes.... PoW and Psionics for the most part, but I've seen more than a few people ask for others as well.
