After a moment's thought, Harika says "I think it may have been a berbalang." She goes on to describe the creature and its abilities (go ahead and look at DM's spoiler if you haven't already).

How long have we been traveling today?

"Indeed, I do not like leaving such a powerful creature alive to haunt our steps and attack while we are distracted or sleeping. If it's physical body must be within 1 mile. That means we may have a fairly easy time tracking it. Perhaps if we find the people who left the tracks they may know more about its liar or where it goes to ground?"

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

As the healing neagtive energy flows into him Kardav gives the woman an grateful smile as the worst of the wounds heal. "Thank you." He says, coming out of his trance as he stands.

"I agree, we can't let this thing haunt us while we travel. Let's look around, we might find some clues."

Harika sighs. "I think this is a waste of our time and resources, but am not going to go on without you all. Let's find this thing and kill it."

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

"It's not so much a waste of time as it is a not-getting-shanked-in-the-middle-of-the-night detour. We're going to be traveling through it's territory and we don't know how far away it is, not to mention we're on foot and it's going to be able to keep pace with us for the entire journey." He gives the necromancer a charming smile and reassuring pat the shoulder. "Besides, the hardest part is going to be finding this thing. Destroying it's going to be a breeze, so don't worry, this won't take long."

Perhaps. The easiest way would be to use a spell. Does anyone have a spell that allows them to track the person that was controlling the undead. Or perhaps the person that raised it? Without somthing of this nature, I fear we may need to accept that this creature will hound us further. I say, if we do not have the means to track it we merely wait until it shows itself again. Then strike at it. Otherwise I fear to large a detour and distraction.

"Yes, if creature not made of stuff when near, not leave track. No way to track. Unless someone have magic trick to find, we likely have no luck and must go on. "

Tracking it without a divination spell would be impossible correct. Locate creature would be your best bet. Other than that you would need to find a way to mask your trail so it cant follow you.

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

Kardav thinks for a moment. "I have some scrolls we could use, but I'd rather save them for tracking down the cultists we're after. If it comes to it then we could use one but I'd much rather not." He looks around to see if anyone else is going to offer up anything.

Female Human Cleric of Urgathoa 10 (HP 85/85 | AC: 19 | T: 10 | FF: 19 | CMB: +0 | CMD: 10 | Fort:+11 | Ref:+5 | Will:+14 | Init: +0 | Perc: +5 | Speed 30)

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

Kardav sighs and pulls a scroll out of Carrion Compass. "Ugh, I hate this part." He says as he reaches down to one of the wolves and with a look of distaste rips out one of the eyeballs and casts the spell.

The eyeball floats at chest level and moves towards it's last controller at a rate of 30ft a round as long as the controller is within 5 miles of the casting location. Lasts an hour.

Hmm very nice. The eyeball goes north along your original route.

Harika nods. "That would be prudent, so long as you can see and follow the seeker from above." She gestures at the floating eyeball.

Ynthar will have a casual look around to make sure that the sign is correct in its statement of no one rising from here.

Look around: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

Hilly mostly but the terrain in the graveyard is flat and the graveyard surrounded by a 10 foot high fence in front of you there is a gate

There doesn't seem to be any undead inside the graveyard.

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

Kardav brushes his hand along the pillar, muttering a prayer as he reads it. "Lets hope the magic is still working with the destruction of the lesser seals." He says, looking out over the graveyard.

You enter? Who goes first?

M Dhampir Warpriest 10

Kardav will enter, activating Detect Undead as he does.

"Well im certainly glad to count among the living." Kardav says as he walks back over to the group.

With Harika's undead guardians stayed outside the graveyard walls you all enter and continue forward to a large mausoleum in the centre. The structure is badly damaged and partially collapsed. After to terribly failed attempts at climbing the wall, Merius looks at the crack with a glare.

How big is the opening? Something we would have to squeeze through, or bigger than a doorway? I wonder if Merius could simply launch himself through the crack with Flame Jet? Otherwise, I'm going to need a rope... Law of averages indicates it will take a very long time for me to get two 15+ rolls on a D20 to make that climb. Luckily Merius has 100' of rope and a grappling hook!
