Tush casts Detect Magic on the statue. "Let's see what we can learn. There has to me a good reason this thing is still here."


The necklace seems to radiate a faint... very faint aura of conjuration. But its a strange almost alien feel to the conjuration magic.


Also roll me a spellcraft check or knowledge arcana check... but roll high :D

Nicenzia you are sure its not linked to summoning something magically out of nothing, but outside of that you arent sure exactly what the magical effect might do if disturbed.

Aurelain you are 100% sure this necklace isnt trapped nor is the statue its on. You dont see any footprints in the dust either

Tush Much like Nicenzia despite your studying you dont think the necklace will summon anything if disturbed. in fact you are pretty sure the magics invovled arent really that strong. Not strong enough to worry about being dangerous at least

Man you guys missed the DC by 2, even if you rolled a 20 Tush you would have been 1 short

You all wait to see what terrible thing happens... a moment goes by... two.

Aurelain the necklace feels cool to the touch, the adamantine links along the chain feel solid then suddenly... the necklace flashes a bright light... and is missing from Aurelains hands.

Everyone but Aurelain:
It takes another moment... then another but then you see the necklace prominently displayed on Aurelain's neck, the gems glittering in the low light.

Aurelain you feel the slightest of weights on your neck... and realize that the necklace is now around your neck.

Take 20 Perception while doubling back to the chute we came down.

Confounded, Swen goes back to the trap door chute and tries to assess the possibility of climbing back out.


While it was a quick trip down you are pretty sure Swen with only a little bit of effort you could probably easily get back up the shute. . . The only trouble might be in forcing the lid off the sarcophagus. And once one person is up, a rope down the chute would make it even easier to climb up.

Aurelain busies himself with knotting the rope before attempting the climb.

Climb, take 10: 10 + 7 = 17


Easily enough Aurelain makes the trek back up the tunnel, and after several long moments of grunting he is able to open the sarcopagus and brace himself against it so you others can climb out much easier.

Technically i should make you all roll those dc 5 climbs... except there is a slide and no point, even if you failed terribly you would just start over. *lawls* are you all just backtracking out to the barn?

Tush climbs up, and then realizes that she can safely slide back down, and proceeds to do so at least three times grinning each time. She finally gets tired of the fun or someone else gets tired and hauls her out of the sarcophagus.

"What else is there to see around here? Do you think this is all of the treasure?"

Its easy enough to backtrack your way back to the dilapidated barn leaving you in the later part of the middle of the days heat in the barn. Everything seems as still as it was when you went down the hidden passage.

While you were gone it appears that some form of chaos and fighting happened in the immediate area in front of the barn... if you consider what appears to be the demise of some form of rodent from a flying hawk to be a big change.

Nothing out there that would warrant any sort of heebie jeebies.
