She scrimped and saved and this pencil-necked captain wouldn't accept her money. Why, Desna, do you ask me to suffer more?

Arista Milocathe
Looking at the others left in the shop she clears her throat, "I'm gonna go take these things to Johann. You guys can come if you want, or explore the town some more."
Arista smiles at them and turns to walk out of the shop.
Alethiro Milocathe
Drago Skorzeny
Looking around at the training dummies, Drago suggests, "Well now that I have the forms down, perhaps it would be best to see if I can execute them properly?"

Hey!!! :o/ It's not Arista's fault that she's enamored by all the fine things this time has to offer. Back in her day, I'm sure most people could only afford burlap, a rough kind of cotton, or made their own clothes out of furs and rough animal hides. She just can't help it but to spend money....especially when she sees such pretty things and amazing trinkets. She likes the shiny.....hehehe. She...just can't seem to help herself....oh Gods.....I just thought of something....what about when the baby comes, or even before he/she gets there? She's gonna go NUTS buying all sorts of baby stuff, she's gonna wanna learn to sew too I'm thinking so she can make little booties or whatever it is pregnant women do. I think someone better come up with some kind of shoppers anonymous or something, and quick. LOL
Arista Milocathe
I want to make it clear that Arista has NEVER spent the party's money on anything for stuff like this. For occasions like this, Arista always reverts back to her private stash of gold. Talk about impulsive though....damn. LOL
Drago Skorzeny
Pulling out his sword, Drago moved up to one of the dummies and attacked with the first series of movements he learned. And missed horribly on all but the last stroke, which was a glancing blow at best. Turning to the Magus, he asked, "Okay, what did I do wrong?"
Arista Milocathe
As they walk back to the Inn together, Arista looks at Ylhrea with a slight frown on her face, as if thinking about something.
"You really think I spent too much money?" She looks down at the ground for a minute as they walk together, "It's just that....they have gone through so much and because he helped us, Johann isn't able to go back to the only place he was allowed to call home. I just...felt bad for them and it was so sweet of his brother to offer to stay out in the woods with him...well, I just wanted them to be safe and have a way of taking care of themselves so their parents wouldn't worry as much. Ya know? I know I may silly sometimes to others....but, I just can't help but be who I am." She continues to look at the ground as they walk and wrings her hands slightly. "I hope their parents don't mind me getting their boys weapons, I was just thinking for self defense in case of an animal or something. Johann already seemed pretty capable at the hunting thing...so I figured it would be okay...." She looks over at Ylhrea for a moment, "I'm sorry...am I talking too much? I guess I really am kinda nervous about this whole baby thing."
Clara Risbane
She gestures to an imperious-looking male elf, a serene looking human female and two young half-elves.
Ylrhea Corissca
"No, it's fine," Ylrhea says. "But fifty gold's usually how much a person manages to scrape together before getting that twinkle in their eye and becoming an adventurer. Then they're slain by goblins and never seen again, then some other person goes and avenges them, but they're...Oh, never mind. Besides, Johann is a goblin."
She puts a hand on Arista's arm. "I'm glad that you're talking about things instead of bottling them up. We're your friends, your family. That's what we're here for, even if it's about what color clothes to buy the baby. And I'm pretty sure it's fine to be nervous about the baby, it'd be weird if you weren't."
Alethiro Milocathe
Arista Milocathe
Arista chuckles and slings a friendly arm around her shoulders, leaning down slightly she laughs. "Yeah...I guess I might have gone over board a little bit....but I think they're worth it and I don't think Johann will let his brother go off and do something crazy like take on bandits or anything." She's quiet for a few moments, remembering what it was like for her when she first started out.
Standing up she takes her arm back and smiles at her friend, "Thanks for listening to me....I know you'll all be here for me, and I am kinda nervous about the baby....but, more nervous about what Alethiro's gonna say when he finds out. Especially when he learns that I still plan on going with you guys to get Niccolo back from that....whatever it is she was. I think I'm more nervous about his reaction than anything really." She sighs as they enter the Inn.

”Welcome to the reality that practicing in the air is very different from striking a target or a person.” Sādhanā says with a slight smile. ”Each attack is more than just a movement or a swing. It targets a specific area to deliver a specific wound. You need to understand what it is you’re trying to do to your opponent other than just ‘the pointy end goes in the other guy.’”
Drawing the sword she used to practice she faces another of the dummies. Starting slowly she begins a series of attacks, each time calling out the location of the strike and the intended injury moments before delivering the strike.
”A sword is unlike most weapons. Most others are tools that were turned into weapons by necessity; a sword has one true purpose…to kill. It needs to be respected and understood. When you draw a sword, it is clearly telling your opponent that you mean to end their life, so you need to commit fully.” she says as she comes to a stop.
”Ok, your turn again, and this time you’re facing someone trying to kill you, not a dummy.” she says stepping back to watch him face the training dummy.
GM Henry Fortuna
Arista and Ylrhea return to the inn to see Johann and Gregor talking by the hearth.
"Ah, Baron LeVoux, I thought it strange to see you here," Godrick says.
"Vraiment, but I have no taste in ruling. I have sins to pay for and a brother to avenge," Marcel says quietly.
"Or did you owe Lady Bardi a favor?" Godrick asks with an eyebrow raised.
Marcel shakes his head. "No, me and my men are here for Valwick. I need to find out what happened to Jean-Paul's murderer."
Godrick nods. "You may use our barracks for now, until some more appropriate facilities are built."
Drago Skorzeny
Drago stood in front of the dummy for a moment, focusing on the face of an enemy. The first few strikes were accurate but not very powerful, but then the dummy transformed into Chalandra. Drago's vision went red and he attacked her savagely. "You b!&! It's because of you that I inherited this curse and murdered Aliethia! I'll f$%~ing kill you for that!" With that final declaration, he removed the dummies head. He stood there breathing heavily over the decapitated figure.
Arista Milocathe
Arista nods at Ylhrea, "Yes...there is that. I guess we will will have to wait and see what happens." Seeing them by the hearth, Arista approaches them. "So...are you finding things okay?"

"Better, much better."Sādhanā says. "Now breathe."
She moves forward, resting a hand on his shoulder. "You're angry. Good. Anger is useful, but it can be dangerous." she says quietly.
"Try to bottle it up and it consumes you from the inside, poisoning you and everything you love. Let it run unchecked and it's like a wildfire, unperdictable and uncontrolled. But learn to take hols of it, to aim it, to unleash it on those things that deserve to feel the heat of your rage and it becomes a devastating weapon. Let your blade and your magic become expressions of your anger. Use it on the battlefield. Make it your armor, your shield, your weapon of vengence. You've seen how I fight, how Arista fights. Anger has a place in a fight. Cyna might be quiet but I guarantee you cold fury is channeled into every arrow she puts into the target. Just remember that anger is your weapon, not the other way around."
