A new job! A new love! No, it was more than that. Desna gave her someone who finally accepted her for who she really was. That was more than she hoped for. She sits at the bar and tries to stop the tears from coming. But, damn it, Jelks was too happy for words.

She cried at Hadrinn's for the first couple of nights. She loved Arista as a sister, that was all there was to it. During the day, she would snap out of a dream, thinking she heard the familiar rap rap rap at her door.
It's not even been a week, you softie! The dhampir glances down the shoreline to see a young elf with shockingly bright red hair standing over another figure and a wild cat. She races down the beach, but the girl runs off. She looks down at the figure and the cat. A fetchling...
She kneels in front of Rajni. "Wake up, stranger."

            Tally ho!
The group heads down the next set of stairs, descending about seventy feet. You pass by incomplete shafts shrouded in darkness until you come to the bottom of the stairway. The smell of freshly disturbed dust and soil fills your noses as you move forward. Light is sparse down here, though you believe you see flames up ahead. Walking forward fifty feet, you come to the edge of a freshly made sinkhole. The scattering of rocks and dirt lead you to believe this is fairly recent. The light you saw seems to emanate from below. You hear heavy stomping coming from the sinkhole.

Cyna catches a glimpse of another subterranean city, but the buildings look more religious in nature. Walking through the city, Cyna catches the glimpse of a man wearing a Necromancer's mask, trailed by four huge elementals that destroy the buildings as they pass. They seem to be headed for a large temple.

"If you have any protective spells that last a while, cast them now."
As she finishes her statement she begins a warding chant, power building until she reaches out and touches Arista's shoulder. Apulse of invisible energy emanates from the Aasimar, a mild shockwave like soundless thunder.
"Argue with me later." the Anizari says with a grin to her friend.
Cast Ablative Barrier on Arista. Active for 5 hours or until expended.

Sienna brings up her shimmering armor of force.
Cast Mage Armor.
"You know what would have been nice for these trips? Rings of Feather Fall..." the sorceress says, her tail swishing nervously as she looks into the sinkhole.

"All I have is this." Cyna replies casting Aspect of the Falcon on herself.
About how far up and away are we?
"I'd take a scroll at this point. I can glide down there but I don't think I can take anyone with me. Maybe Ylrhea..."

Sienna slaps her hand to her forehead and laughs. "I can't believe I forgot all about these little suckers..."
She flaps her stunted wings. "Here goes nothing!"
She jumps into the sinkhole using her leathery wings to keep her from hitting the ground.
Fly(DC10): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
"Phew..." Sienna sighs. Never used 'em before...Glad they work.

Cyna's heart practically leaps from her chest as Sienna descends somewhat clumsily to the ground. "You... crazy... " Cyna sighs and shakes her head.
She quickly grabs a rope and follows her other half into the city.

Drago kept quiet while everyone readied for battle. With the now known whispers in his mind, the Sorcerer embraced whole-heartedly. Descending down the rope, he began to focus his anger. You will not leave here alive Jahlrem, I'll see to that.

            Before they decend
At the sight of the desecration of the religious city, an almost feral growl sounds in the back of Arista's throat. "That evil bastard will pay for everything he has ever done...I can't wait to tear him apart."
As Sadhana bolsters her with a spell Arista blushes and smiles at her, "It's okay...I understand. Now...let's go tear his s@#% up."
Back to the present moment
Arista stands back and waits to see how everyone wants to proceed before moving forward. They are quite large aren't they? Sarenrae, guide us and protect your faithful followers as we strive to end this madness. Saying the quiet prayer to herself, she prepares for what looks to be a rough battle.

A voice echoes through the building as well as the thump of a pegleg. "So you survived after all? What's this? Hmm, pity...just three of you I recall. However, let's not bother with catching up. Rovagug yearns to be free and I'll not have him wait."
The elementals turn to face the group. "Crush them, slaves! Then batter the earth with their bones!"

Coughing up the water from her lungs, Rajni tries to overcome the confusion and panic she feels. Her wet clothes clinging to her she reaches out for her companion. Seeing Shamara lying on the sand she crawls over to her and strokes her fur, "Shamara! Shamara....please be okay."
As she strokes the cat, Shamara awakens and jumps up. Shaking herself off, she goes and nuzzles against Rajni's cheek. "I'm fine Shamara, I'm fine...." Holding Shamara to her she looks up at the strange woman in front of her, "Who...who are you? Where am I?" Father is not going to be pleased....not at all.... She starts to shake as thoughts of her father's displeasure fill her mind.
