Divitia shakes her head. "No thank you. With all the stress I'm under, I'd just end up eating them in one sitting and be a bloated whale for my wedding."
Divitia smiles wanly at Konstantyná as the midwife opens her door, an arm around Aliethia's waist. "I'm sorry for disturbing you. It's just that...Lili isn't feeling well and...we thought maybe she might be..."
Divitia gives Aliethia a peck on the cheek. "I'm going to head home, Lili. Don't be out too long. Good to see you again, Arista, Alethiro and, you too, Celine."
Divitia glances at Celine, deciding to keep the conversation polite. "To the point where I almost dread going to work. Hello, Hadrinn, I'll have a lemonade and some venison stew."
Divitia walks in and spies Aliethia, Arista and Celine. She makes her way to the table and gives Aliethia a quick peck. "Sorry if I kept you waiting, Lili."
"Somewhat. I have a couple students curious about brewing in a cauldron, so I'm doing a little set up," Divitia answers. "Actually, I have something for you as well."
She produces a lavender envelope. "Aliethia wanted me to give this to you, since I happen to see you more than she does."
Divitia rolls over in bed. Today's task had left her drained and she decided to cancel her class for the night. She hears the knocking at her door and goes to answer it, still dressed in the clothing she wore this morning. "Oh, Elsa? Is something wrong?"
"Well...I don't believe there's a way we can detect the curse, so you'll have to...ah...find a willing partner or a suitable substitute," Divitia says, clearly uncomfortable about discussing such things with Elsa.
Divitia sighs and takes a bite of fruit. "It's unlikely that it would remove your powers since they aren't part of the curse. As for it removing the curse, Michael seems fairly certain that it will work."
Divitia steps inside, produces the orange potion and hands it to Elsa. "Here you are. I've never made a potion like this before so I'm quite uncertain as to how it will work or taste."
"Thank you," Divitia says with a curt nod. She resumes her walk to her laboratory. Once inside, she bolts the door behind her. She takes a green vial from a locked cabinet and sets it on her workstation.
Michael had sent Elsa home after they had produced this, the base. She then met with Michael's latest prodigy, Kara, a blood mage. After a long discussion, Divitia reluctantly agreed to this plan. She took a sharp razor and slid it along the palm of her hand, letting the blood fall into the vial. Suddenly, sparks erupted before the potion turned a bright orange color. Strange, not what I expected.
The completed potion in hand, she wipes the vial clean and puts a stopper on it. She was glad that Elsa was unaware of this portion of the curse-breaking. Even to Divitia, drinking someone else's blood was a repulsive concept. She carefully place the potion in her bag and heads to Elsa's house.
