Noticing that Merelda is not following behind her Innis stops at the stairs. "She not coming! Nicais you must slay it, can you slay it with a potion!" She looks back frantically on the edge of hysteria.

Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Oooh! Crit threat!

To confirm critical: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 Mmmm. It's a touch attack, so maybe

damage if hits: 2d8 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (2, 3) + 3 + 5 = 13
additional damage if crit confirmed: 2d8 + 3 + 5 ⇒ (6, 5) + 3 + 5 = 19

in terms of Him burning. No this is the creature's actual ability so that is why he gets no additional save. He would have had to have spent a full round but with the limited rounds to damage he had hoped the battle would have been over unfortunately missed more than actually hit

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

In terms of using the potion as a bomb/grenade Im ruling against that however creative it may be. Potions are only effective when you imbibe them.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

Innis you are right the creature already did its AoO that round so ignore the damage and save

Aw man, but Nicias rolled a crit! That's like shooting it right into the incorporeal creature's mouth.

Merelda races into the secret room and as she does she glimpses the surprised look on Him's burn-scarred face. His body no longer able to withstand the heat from the fire with one last effort he tries to run to the others but his strength gives out and he collapses to the ground his body still burning.

OK, I pretty sure I failed that check to move through his square...so no movement and he gets an AoO.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

Ohh this does not bode well at all...

Merelda eyes the creature she can feel death is imminent but is unwilling to die and she rushes forward to try to get past the creature. Spirited forward by her devotion she screams calling upon Calistria even as the creature moves to blocks the doorway.

The heat is intense and she feels herself slipping away as she charges right into the waiting creature. The creature raises its arm and swipes at Merelda but the elf uncannily twists her lithe form and tumbles under the incoming death only to bowl right into the undead creature, but instead of stopping she passes right through it. Merelda feels true pain at this moment almost as if her body was being ripped apart from within. Her body aflame she hits the floor with such impact that the floor beneath comes apart and she falls to the floor below with a crash and blacks out.

AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + (4) = 10

Merelda:
As you lie there you body writhing in pain you begin to hear a low droning noise. The noise continues to grow until it drowns out your own thoughts. "Well then you insolent child what am I to do with you now?" You struggle to open your eyes only to see an otherworldly beautiful elven woman standing beside you. Arrayed in a seductive dress of flowing yellow silks it does little to hide her lithe and graceful form. All around her you see scores of wasps flying. She puts her foot on your chest near your neck and continues to talk. "I had plans for you child but what use are you to me dead? Now no doubt that b*~!~, Maramaga, will get her way and I cannot even begin to think what that will mean for the rest of your sisters. But what do you care you are here dead. Oh you do care? Well...well..then I was not wrong to send you and your sister here. That is good child. Maramaga is our sworn enemy but even I cannot intervene again. Do not fail me child. I do not look at failure very favorably you had best remember that, but just in case..." At that she slams her foot upon your chest causing you gasp sharply as air rushes back into you lungs. You are stablized but are at -5 HP. Also when you awaken you fill find that you are permanently scarred in some manner. The fire has grotesquely melted your skin so you get a permanent -1 CHA penalty. You can decided where.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

As if what just occurred was but a strand in an alternate time...

Merelda blinks and experiences an odd feeling as if this had just happened. She eyes the creature and now trapped in the room she can feel death is imminent. Unwilling to die and she rushes forward to try to get past the creature. Spirited forward by her devotion she screams calling upon Calistria even as the creature moves to blocks the doorway.

The heat is intense and she feels herself slipping away as she charges right into the waiting creature. The creature raises its arm and swipes at Merelda but the elf uncannily twists her lithe form and tumbles under the incoming death and just as she is about to fall into certain death of she instinctively calls upon one last trick and vanishes in one dark flash only to appear right behind the burning undead creature. Not waiting to see the creature's reaction she instinctively slams brick and begins to close the door to the secret room. Turning to race away from the room and the creature she watches as a flaming arm already begins to phase through the wall.

Sorry forgot to include you take 2 points of damage from the heat

Dang-it! I hoped the room might have some sort of mystical significance that traps it there! Are we still in combat? I guess so. Then I'm doomed either way. If I try to run I take fire damage and fall before I can get anywhere, and if I try and put the fire out and fail, I fall. If I succeed the creature will be upon me before I can run anyway. If I can retreat from here I will just withdraw as far down the stairs as I can before I fall down from fire damage.

EDIT: Since it just passed its arm through the wall, does the wall/building catch on fire?

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

Let me make things easier here. I'll e taking some liberties here but I am sure you are all fine with that.

With the door closed and the creature already emerging through it Merelda moves to race towards the stairs. She cannot help but look at the burning corpse of her fallen ally, Him, and think just how close she was to joining him there. Making it to the stairs the others are waiting as she collapses at the top of the stairs no longer able to push her body beyond all that has happened today.

Lililinda is quick to douse the flames and the others drag her down the stairs. As you do so you watch and see the creature staring at you from the top of the stairs. It pauses there for a moment and then returns you assume back to its room.

Combat is over. Merelda you are at -1. I DM'ed your burning damage to 1 point taking you to 0. Your double move exerts you so you are at -1 right now but safe for now. You all may continue your discussion via RP now. You are all on the main floor now at the bottom of the staircase.

@GM Aumakua - thank you. We needed your help with that.

Reaping Stone Campaign: Under Cassomir

Your walk is a somber one as you carry Him's unconscious body towards Castle Grayguard. His breath is shallow and his body looks burnt beyond recognition. Every few feet you hear him moan in pain. You can only look on with great worry that he might not make it.

Passing over sunken streets of wet mud, rotting vegetation,
and murky pools of water you notice that while it is well past mid morning the streets seem sparse and what few people you do see are quick to hurry to wherever their destination is. None even seem to give you more than a cursory glance.

Kirzon remarks that something is definitely wrong as this district is home to many of the city's craftsmen, dock workers, and lower class citizens and many more people should be about.

You have traveled about two thirds of the way through the Admiral's Fen when you watch as a man steps out of one the many alleys that line this district. He is dressed in simple garb – commoner pants, a leather vest and a beat up short-brimmed sailor's hat. The man is short and pudgy in stature and is followed by two other men. Each of the men are dressed in similar garb but neither wear a hat. Right away you can tell this is not going to go well. You see the two men are armed with a pair of hand axes while the shorter fellow has a sheathed sword at his belt.

The short man steps forward and mockingly bows in your direction. "Morning to youse. A fine day fer a stroll wouldn't ya say? What brings such a colourful group of visitors down the Row?"

No map for this but the man is about 20 feet away from you at this moment and the two others are 5 feet behind him. Figure the road to be about 20 ft wide
