GM glyn True. We noticed her change but didn't delve further then that.

Torod - Yes you would be able to replace potions over the several months of kingdom building. Sorry I didn't see the question earlier.
Seraph_ |
Well, its flu season apparently. I am back after suffering some ugly bedrest for two or three days. I'm not sure. just sick and resting. Ugh. Posts in the AM. After I catch up with all the games. Sorry.
Again sorry for the wait :(((((

*Hugz* :(
Get well soon!
Have been suffering bouts of Hay-fever here, m'self. :(
Wishing every one all the very best.

Kill the men first?
Whoever this mystery lady is, she's clearly not a great believer in emancipation.
That, or she thinks women aren't strong fighters, no woman besides her is capable of independent rule...
...
... or maybe Asta is about to receive a suitor related to the 'lady'. @_@ You know, to 'help her fill the gap left by her dearly departed friends'.

I'll add this to the sheet, soonish. Pad is dying -.-;

My wife and I will be in the hospital for a spell, having our 3rd baby. So if you guys want. Leave town to me 'npc' and go exploring so I don't hold things up. Its a bit out of character but Seraph and her high Diplomacy can run damage control with the population.
Just offering so I don't hold things up.
See ya in a day or so! XD

All the very best for you and yours and the lil' one!

Just for further clarification: Justinian is stating his thoughts on law and justice aloud. He is fully aware of his place (which is nothing yet) in the kingdom. Think of it as more character development - more exposition than action.

Thanks everyone and so far so good. She will have some jaundice, as is common with our kids so far. But she is so far without complication. Thankfully she is a big eater and a hard sleeper.
Justinian Now seeing your post, as much as would have liked to respond Seraph is responding to the well played Torod. The River Kingdom and its freedom's make playing a Paladin at times or at least Lawful Good. Rough to say the least.

Added and notes placed for the gear of the prisoners.

Surveying
Are we all going or is this a split up thing? Just curious.
Number of Prisoners
Also we had four prisoners right? or did we kill an additional one during the fight? Just making sure the loot totals are correct.
Thanks! XD
GM Glyn |
I would prefer the group keeps focused on one story thread at a time.
Splitting = GM headache.
There are 4 bandit prisoners.

Aye, keeping together and maximizing fire power is always the better option.
DM? I have some images and such I would like to share. Is there a link I can send files to yourself? Should any one else like a look I'll happily share with them as well.
Best wishes and season's greetings! (^_^)

Torod: About your offer to Jhod and Kressel to join your house. I keep putting it off due to the complexities.
First both Jhod and Kressel are office members in the Kingdom. If they jointed your house that could give your house more sway over the kingdom.
Second since both Jhod and Torod are followers of Erastil there is the religious athority structure to be considered. Currently Jhod would be considered higher in the Erastil church structure than Torod, but at some point Torod will become higher through sheer level.
They would both be honored that you asked. I'm not sure how Jhod would chose. I may have to reduce it down to a 50/50 roll.
Anyone have thoughts to share?
Sunset, |
Sorry, nothing at this time.
Wishing every one all the very best. :)
Seraph_ |
Thanks to her relationship with Asta and Torod I don't see any conflicts from Seraph's end. Only if the power structure of Stag House starts to conflict with Asta's goals. Which then Seraph would have to make moves to increase her houses power in accordance to keep it even. Or risk being sickened constantly for failing to maintain the balance.
Though I started the Order of the Swan, Arshean's are all about freedom, freedom of choice being one of them. But their primary focus is maintaining the happiness of the people over gaining power. Like the building of Inn, a major improvement and booster of happiness/economy. Everybody wins.
Like the kingdom of Bhutan, which still measures the happiness of their citizens and works to improve it where they can. That type of thing.
TL:DR Johd and Kressel joining Torod's house isn't an issue atm, unless they start pressing to swing the balance of power. Then Seraph will have to respond to maintain balance. Due to her pact.

When did Sunset get a theme song?
Asta and Torod are the last two original characters. By now she probably realizes that he has no real aspirations for leadership. He only wants to provide his faith with as strong a foundation as he can. He has not considered that having so much political authority under one roof could ever cause a problem. By his thinking, they are all followers of Erastil and only want to live in harmony.
Keep in mind that gruff Torod is actually very sensitive. He would be heartbroken if either declines. He may not recover if both decline.
Seraph_ |
Haha, Seraph trusts ya as well. Just one of those things with LEgalistic, she has to try and ensure Asta's success. However if Asta made clear all is well, then it would be satisfied. I tend to take the Curses as being a lot more literal then they probably are but Legalistic seems way to easy to be a curse unless its rped well. Because its really simple really.
Now Clouded vision, Ugh, that one would be painful...
Seraph_ |
I hope the 50/50 roll goes well. :D
Or at least the side RP, which I look forward to if we are allowed to read it. XD

My apologies for breaking character and going all real-world, but I saw this today, and I hope you will forgive me for sharing and asking you do the same through social media.
Please read this article, even if it is depressing and terrifying.
And share it.
THIS CAN NOT, MUST NOT BE IGNORED!

Sorry for seeming slow. T'is the silly season and I'm pushing an 80 hour week.
Will do my best to keep up.

So I decided to ask the main man about torches and swarms. Here's what he said.
Corerue wrote:The fire damage from a torch does damage normally to a swarm; a swarm is only immune to that if they're immune to fire.Hello James,
Happy holidays and a quick question. Does a Torch affect a swarm with its 1 fire damage. Or is a swarm immune to the torch completely?
I understand the bludgeoning part but fire isn't the weapon damage iirc.
Thanks and happy holidays! :D
So 1 fire damage with each swing if it connects, better then nothing when we aren't prepared for swarms.
I wish I had asked whether or not it was listed somewhere in a book. But its nice to know, whether its official or not is up to GM Glyn.

The fire damage from a torch does damage normally to a swarm; a swarm is only immune to that if they're immune to fire.
To me that opens up a bunch of other questions like:
Do weapons that add energy attacks (fire, cold ....) effect swarms To?
Do non-area effect spells that do energy damage effect swarms now?
Is it only torches that have a 1pt area effect?

Good question. We kept it simple and left it to just torches. The only reason we did that was to prevent parties getting killed by swarms early on. No other logic applied.

Now if the party only had torches!

GM Glyn Yep haha. But at least I know that my swarm gear is apparently lacking. -.-;

To be perfectly, I wasn't out to prove anything. I had the old 3.X stats stuck in my head and thought who better to ask the JJ the director about it. Though now in light of GM Glyn's above post I am curious what weapons with Elemental capabilities could do to swarms?
After trying to find an answer I found a lot of vague notions so hence I asked him haha. I don't like vague
So on with the game and lets have fun. :D

Didn't think you were out to prove something. Was just having a discussion - I wouldn't have thought to go straight to the source, nice work!
I am going to have evaluate how we use elemental weapons though.
Seraph_ |
Thanks Justinian. :) I have asked JJ questions before and though he may get things a little offsometimes he usually gets scolded for being wrong on mechanics by his fellows. Haha
Me too, on evaluating elemental weapons as well, tomorrow I will ask JJ for a source to be more concrete on the torch. Most likely it's going to be some paragraph in a subsection that I'd have totally missed. -.-;
