My nephew has an interest in learning how to play pathfinder, but due to me living 2 hours south of him, i cannot show through the traditional tabletop method. Therefore i am utilizing the internet, and will be showing him how to play.
But, i need players as well, to flesh out the group. Therefore i am looking for players, 3-4 to be exact, ones that will have no problems having a true new player joining.
The starting level would be first level.
Only the standard races and classes from the Core rulebook will be used.
(yes, i know there are alot more, but for teaching, and until he has a better understanding of the rules, i prefer to use the core rulebook. Once he learns more, and is comfortable, i will open it up to show him how interesting the game can get).

I will even encourage those who do not know how to play a pbp, or those with little experience to check this out.

I would be interested in this. I also am new to Pathfinder and PbP as well. My only real experience was with a game called Rifts about 15 years ago. I have played PC D&D based games and have read some RPG books and am familiar with how the games are played.
I am flexible with the class of character I would play, however I do have an interest in playing a Rogue, Ranger, or Fighter, but again I am flexible and will fill whatever roll may be needed.
I would have a character up and ready to go, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that. I haven't been able to figure out how people get character builds up on this site.
I will work on figuring that out and look forward to hearing from you. Oh and I am able to post at least once a day. I assume I can setup an email notification if our thread gets a post and thus with my phone, table, or computer I will be able to respond in short order and from almost anywhere.

Matt Huffman 46: To create a character on the boards, go to the top of the page click on my account. You should be prompted for you password or it will go directly to your account. Simply scroll down to and click the tab to make a new alias. You can enter your name and choose an avatar from there. After all that is done you can finish it up by editing view clicking on the characters name and then click edit my profile at the top right of the profile page. Hope this helps.

Just a brief overview to help the GM: Including myself we have two players ready to go, and what looks like four or five who are just past rolling stats. After they finish making their characters, we're looking at a group of 6-7 players plus your nephew if he isn't one of those who've posted their rolls yet. That's pushing the legal limit for party size. I'd suggest running two groups because playing with a really big group (in my experience) isn't the best way to get started. Your nephew wouldn't be getting the attention he needs with a group so big. It's your call though.

to address some questions:
1) No evil characters. I want everyone, including the rookies, to have a good time, and nothing destroys that feeling like a knife to the back from the party rogue.
2) Posting expectations: at least 1x every 2 days. I try to keep to a 1/1day ratio, but i have a family and i am running for office, so if i miss a day, ill pick it up the next day.
3) if you need help with anything, please say so, and either I or another will help out.
I will decide upon characters on monday, thus giving all those that rolled and havent had a chance to create pcs the weekend to do so.
