Hey everyone. This last week I had multiple exposures to covid and, while my rapid test came back negative, I am definitely sick with something and have very little energy. I am waiting on a PCR test to let me know for sure what I do or don't have.

Since your foes are a pair of bugbear assassins and a trio of doppelganger infiltrators, I hope you'll understand why such underhanded tactics (albeit of questionable effectiveness) have been used against you. They have ridiculous Stealth and Disguise modifiers for setting up this ambush.
Does the +26 Perception that Undari currently has in Eagle form make a difference in the ambush? He did come in looking for bugbears…

Undari's Perception manages to beat one of the Dreamstalker Sisters' Stealth by 1. Thus, he would be able to perform an action during the Surprise Round.

We literally use the same tactic about an hour before this. I legitimately thought we were fighting mesmerists until you reminded me doppelgangers exist.

Sure. I am fine with you keeping the nat 20 for the save too, if you want…I just wanted to make sure my high wisdom Druid didn’t keep trying to burn the super agile bugbears, as that becomes foolish at some point.

I've been feeling a lot better about life. Sorry about dropping out for a bit but suffice to say that my relationship with Paizo is a bit complicated in that hearing all that stuff made me freak out about people who I really care about their safety again. And yes that does mean I know people who work at Paizo.

The layout and architecture of the tower is pretty hard to convey.
The first level of the tower is carved within the rock of the cliff itself, and the second level rises on top of the cliff.
The smaller, connected tower sits entirely on top of the cliff.
Undari, we can try the bear cave approach first. Do you want us to wait up top?
I would rather have everyone together. Undari will have to transform out of his Eagle form to be able to move through regular-sized doors anyway, and I wouldn’t want him stranded below alone.
I get the feeling the door is stronger than it might look. Cave may be our best bet.

Im sorry about disappearing. There was a combination of two seprate issues that kind of overwhelmed me. First of all I know people who work at Paizo. Not even in the parasocial sense but in the sense two people that work there used to be my venture lieutenants. And just hearing about what they could be going through just upset me greatly. Especially considering the fact that I've known people who quit participating in this community because of management issues. In fact that's why two years ago I kind of haphazardly vanished.
And then on top of that over the past month or so I've been kind of freaking out over the fact that my right leg has some underlying blood clot issues that Im not sure why they are disappearing. In normal people they disappear but not for me. I need to get that fixed.
Im so sorry. I legitimately have had fun with you and I've been a jerk to you all by not communicating.
