Sefu Sekala

Sefu follows the others into the next chamber. With his khopesh in one hand and his wand of shield in the other, he attempts to aid his companions in seeking out danger.
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 15
"Tread carefully, friends," he says. "Remember, something evil escaped that circle back there."
Ting Tang

ting mildly confused looks at Sefu and asks
so's is tha magicy circle evile or is tha thingy that got out tha magicy circle tha evile part? an' are we's talkin' bout one evile thingy er more's than one? I means as best as ya can speculate, wroight?

Sefu does not see somethig new in the room. Also the hallway is empty.
Taking 20 on disbelive rolls for illusions is boring ;) Next time I'll wait for you to investigate the illusion before posting the DC so you don't know before that's an illusion.
Finished with this room? Which room next? Second on the right?

After opening the door Hans can see a grossly bloated zombie, its rotting skin stretched and straining as if pumped full of air. It guards this room.

I moved the blue rectangle on the map, I hope that's ok:-)

Sefu dashes into the room after Ting, taking position beside the tengu. Dropping his wand in order to free his hand for casting, the magus casts disrupt undead at the zombie.

Zombie -6HP
Viincent knows the zombie is a 'Gasburst Zombie'. This kind of zombies explode in a cloud of ungol dust that fills a 10-ft.-cube surrounding the zombie when it dies. All creatures in the area are exposed to the poisonous dust (DC 15 Fort save).

Alexos draws his bow and fires at the zombie.
Finally, something real!
Attack, composite Shortbow+1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 211d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

I copied and pasted this from the website, it's my understanding that the chakram does slicing damage ;-)
Chakram 1 gp 1d6 1d8 ×2 30 ft. 1 lb. S — APG
Chakram, Common
The chakram is a simple, elegant, and highly portable thrown weapon. It is a flat, open-centered metal discus with a sharpened edge.

Hans hustles into the room, holding his breath OOC, I know that it will have no effect, but Hans does not ;-), and takes a swing at the zombie!
Greatsword: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17, for 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 6) + 10 = 20 damage.
Fort: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20.

Sorry for the monkey posting regarding DR, I think I mixed up the zombies of different games :( Thanks for reminding me!
Hans rushes at the zombie and takes a swing at it with his greatsword. The zombie explodes, setting free some stinky gas, but Hans holds his breath and is not harmed by the poisonous dust.
Combat over
This room is equipped with the standard furniture of the embalming rooms: several stone biers equipped with drainage troughs for the preparation of bodies, wooden cabinets containing embalming tools, and wall carvings dedicated to the rewards of rule and the afterlife.
Ting Tang
|
ting goes to the body to recover his chakram, looking at the remains and then to Hans, as he cleans off his weapon
blimey, you's split 'at bugger from nose ta nads... after theys pokes about a bit, lets go across tha hall, seems like 'at door had tha same sounds as 'is door
Ting then looks at the group

ting looks around for anything interesting, like secret doors
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16

Sefu Sekala

Once he recovered from the stink released by the bloated (and now bisected) zombie, Sefu takes a closer look around the room.
Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
"Appears as though the necromancers devoted to the sin of gluttony prepared a welcoming party for those who enter this chamber," he says. "This ossuary is full of surprises - I only hope most are more pleasant than this one."
Ting Tang

I 'ope most are more rich 'an 'is one, yep, nice shiny jewels, 'ats wroight looking at Sefu ya kept yer 'ead about ya, not a spoilet daddy's boy wit a fine sword, all talk an no walk... 'is is looken ta be a fine job 'ats wroight
I hope Sefu takes this as a compliment, that is how ting means it. I'm trying to use the poor communication but constant talking as part of the reason for the low charisma, thanks for letting me role play at Sefu's expence :)
Ting Tang

ting looks at the stones to try and figure a value
appraise: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14
'Ay Alexos happily showing the elf the stone tell me's if I'm 'maginin' 'ese black beauties... Oy Sefu can ya's tell if they look magicy ta ya?

ting then heads out into the hall to open the opposite door, as soon as all are ready
Sefu Sekala
|
"I assure you this sword is where any resemblance or connection to my father begins and ends," Sefu says, somewhat haughtily. "I would, however, be happy to take a look at those stones for you."
The magus takes the stones in his hand and casts detect magic on them. If he detects any magical auras, he'll maintain the spell until he's able to identify their nature. Finally, he'll apply his expert's eye to them to infer their purpose and properties, if any.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Family is a sore subject for Sefu, specifically his late father. I really enjoy Ting's nervous, broken ramblings, though.
Alexos Virden
|
Well, shall we continue on to the next room then?
He marks the location on his mapmaker, puts it away, and then draws his bow again.
Alexos, nocking another arrow to be safe, continues to the next door and waits in a covering position for Ting to open it.
Ting Tang

Tin opens the door to the room. He sees shockingly graphic depictions of orgies with all manner of creatures decorating the walls of this chamber. Five humanoid skeletons lie in state on biers — though the bodies appear human, their skulls are those of some monstrous creature. A pile of bloody bones and feathers is all that is left of a recently killed creature. A sinspawn rises from the pile of bones and turns towards you. This particular sinspawn is a lustspawn, crafted from the souls of lustful individuals to serve the runelord of lust guess in which house you are. Human-sized, the lustspawn has a perfectly formed and anatomically correct female human torso, but any resemblances end there. Its arms are unnaturally long and end in three wickedly curved talons. Its lower jaw splits into two monstrous halves lined with sharp teeth, below bulging red eyes.
Attracted by the smell of bird flesh, the lustspawn tries to bite Ting but Ting is fast enough to move his head out of the door.

ting pulls his head back, assuming everyone saw what took a swing at him
Baerlie, do you want us to go close to the order we are listed in or does it matter? either way I will wait a little to see how the battle goes before I post an attack since ting is last, thanks
Sefu Sekala
|
Sefu takes a quick step behind Ting, taps himself with his wand of shield, and hitches back onto his haramaki. With khopesh in hand and magical shield floating before him, the magus calls out to the creature and his companions.
"Make way," Sefu says. "Let this lustful stain taste my blade!"
Identifying lustspawn - Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Free: 5-foot step.
Standard: Use wand of shield.
Move: Put wand away.
I neglected to mention Sefu having his khopesh and wand drawn and ready (as well as his wayfinder open and illuminated) at all times. If you prefer it, his move action this turn could be to draw his wand instead of putting it away. For such a sword-centric character, I figure it's a given that in a creepy dungeon he'd have his khopesh drawn at all times.
shield 9 more rounds ...

Hans stares in open-mouthed distraction at the contents of the room, but snaps out of it when Ting Tang squawks.
Stepping forward, he attempts to bisect the creature!

I already saw that coming...
Hans sees his companion jump back and rushes into the room. Immediately he swings his greatsword at the creature and cuts it in two pieces.
Combat over and Sefu can save his wand of shield charge. And every wise adventurer has his weapon ready while in a dungeon ;)
A lustspawn is a medium abberation creature. It can see in the dark and is immune to mind-affecting effects. It's special abilities are Sin-Scent and Sinful Bite.

there are voices in my head, I wonder what wise is

"Those are... Umm... Some pretty impressive carvings, though..."
How the Devil do they contort into those positions!? No, never mind, I don't really want to know...

"Well, I figure if I can do it to them before they do it to us, it is better for all concerned... apart from the creature I bisect, of course!"
Ting Tang

Thats wroight, do it ta 'em afore theys do it ta us, I likes tha ways yer brain pan woiks, almost s'much as I likes how yer claymore do
turning to the team members who have entered the room so far
folks I's a'gonna ease on up tha bloody hall an takes a looks-see, wroight
once ting is done searching the room he heads out the door and north up the hall toward the other two doors,
he will take twenty on perception looking for tracks, traps, secret doors and listening at both doors; also he will take twenty on disable locks. If he needs a perception role or disable device for anything here they are
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
disable device: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 add one more if this is for a trap, making it twenty
GM Baerlie

Alexos and Ting find an elixir of love and a potion of eagle’s splendor insode one of the room's cabinets. The sinspawn wears archaic jewelry. The pile of bones was a Tengu, killed and eaten by the lustspawn not long ago.
Ting checks the other two doors for traps and the hallway for hidden doors, but he doesn't find something. No noise is coming from the other side of the two doors.
Ting Tang

Ting, after checking the hall, comes back to the rest of the group

I will take your word for it, Felicitas.... my Thassilonian history seems to be a bit lacking.
Alexos remarks as he looks around the room for anything hidden.

Hans looks confused.
"If there has been one Deadly Sin per room thus far, why should the last room have two? That seems to break the pattern... Perhaps there is another room elsewhere...?"
Hans may not know much about Thassilonian history, but he *can* count ;-)

Feli points to the last 2 unopened doors"Well room one had a binding circle, the room of sloth, Conjuration, the wonderful rich room 2 was dedicated to pride, illusion, the third room was full of necromantic items, holding that stinking zombie and was dedicated to gluttony. The fourth room, the one you killed that... thing was dedicated to lust and enchantment. This empty room, the fifth is dedicated to envy. And I still see 2 doors in this hallway."
