The Godsmouth Heresy (Inactive)

Game Master Baerlie

Map

At the behest of the church of Pharasma, the PCs
descend into the sealed lower levels of the Godsmouth
Ossuary. They must contend with ancient Thassilonian
guardians and traps, undead creatures risen from the
corpses buried there, as well as newer denizens that have
entered the crypts on their own mysterious agendas.
Making their way through the strange dungeon, the
PCs eventually encounter the ex-Pharasmin Svilennius
Tripe and his army of alchemically created skeletons and
zombies. The PCs must defeat the heretical alchemist
and his zombie bride to stop the theft of bodies from the
Godsmouth Ossuary, and open up this new level of the
crypts for the church of Pharasma.

Grand Lodge

Hi,

an existing Party of four players is looking for two more players for The Godsmouth Heresy. We are running this module for PFS credit (max. 3XP/4PP) and need a tank and a rogue (or any other lock opener).

The current PCs are:
Druid
Bard
Magus
Monk
unless the players decide to change their characters/classes

This module is about three times as long as a regular PFS scenario, so I ask for at least one post a day to finish the game within 1-2 month.

What are the allowed races and starting wealth?

The posting rate isn't a problem.
Easily twice or thrice maybe per day.

The Exchange

I have this level 1.66 nagaji bloodrager. I'll post his stats when I have a chance.

I am not sure if I go Samurai or Bard, waiting on my Samurais journal!

We are playing a Pathfinder Society legal game. You can find more Information about what's legal here (Races, Classes, how to create a PFS character etc.)

Starting wealth is 150gp, more about starting wealth and what you can buy you find in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play.

Ah i thought this was a normal PBP for pfs credit, since some of those appear as well.

As the other four player play with "real" PFS characters I don't want to mix it (fairness issue). And I just saw you already have PFS characters :D Sorry for trying to introduce you to PFS.

Thats fine! Your characters are always amazing, I'm curious what's coming next ;)

No problem, stuff happens.

Grand Lodge

I know I'm not quite as tanky as other builds, but I'm a pretty good front-line warrior... AND I can heal people!

In either case, I'm tossing my hat in the ring for consideration.

I play the monk and he is going to remain a monk. Looking forward to seeing who we get to join our merry band!

Silver Crusade

If we're critically short on melee types, then I'll switch from my druid to my summoner.

Sovereign Court

Heh. Well, you *know* that I can definitely provide a tank ;-)

Grand Lodge

My magus is straight melee (with a little control stuff if necessary). Could use a flank-buddy or someone to take advantage of my trips.

Liberty's Edge

Here's a tanky sword and board TWF fighter for your consideration.

Grand Lodge

Interested. Tarra only has one scenario under her belt.
Full halfling rogue.

Quin here is human rogue who has taken Shield Proficiency so that he can stand in the front line as well. Whilst Quin isn't registered for PFS yet I have played a few PFS scenarios. PFS legal will need two traits and an extra 10gp to spend.

I'm looking forward to some regular posting.

A Tangu wearing a brightly decorated straw hat walks in Oy, Blokes sorry I’s late ta tha shinny dig, I’s had ta drop a thing at tha place fer a fella, you’s git wha’ I’s meanin’ wroight? As he looks at you winking one of his bright yellow eyes you notice the nasty scar at the base of his beak. Might you’s still be eyeballin’ fer a bird at’s good wit’ locks? Traps tickle me fancy, but a Rook needs ta eat, wroight? I do hunky-dory wit’ Locks; door-locks, pad-locks, trunk-locks, carriage-locks. Once’t I even picked the lock on a Coppers Manacles… ah… none a you’s is a Copper wroight? I means I’m a laws abiden’ Crow an all…Ahm… his eyes shift quickly, he turns slightly llike he may leave, then looks back OH yea, Locks… I ain’t never picked tha lock off a tank a’fore. Will ye know whats in tha tank a’fore we break in ta’ it? Might change how we go’s about tha tsky task. he points with the tip of his scabbarded bastard sword I aint got no shield like ‘at bloke over there, but no bloody shield wall ever sounded like much bloody fun ta meself, but ta each they’s own wroight? But I aint afeard of a li’le hard work wit a sharp stick, if ya catch me infurry. I’d rather look a bloke in tha eye’s wit a fatherless in me claw, than stick ‘im wit a ‘fly in tha backside. But enough of the ruff talk, wroight? I’ll be around if ya needs me.
I’m new to pbp, I do have a PFS number and I believe Ting Tang is up to snuff, the only question is his improvised defense trait from Bastards of Golarion, I work at night, and can post regularly. Forgive my indulgence at role-playing the intro. It’s been thirty years and I’m still knocking the rust off.

I think we have enough offers for the remaining slots. I will leave the decision to the four 'fixed' players, because they have to deal with an unbalanced party ;)

FYI: Luke_Parry is (I suppose) playing his pregen barbarian Hans again?

And just in case it was not clear enough in my first posting, I accept only PFS characters (or PFS pregens), because the existing party are PFS characters only, it would not be fair for them to have a mix, because they take the risk of dying with their 'real' PFS characters.

I have a fighter (Oread or Half-orc) and I could submit either one. Both are very tanky.

That's a nice idea.

I most certainly can :-)

I've looked over the PFS guide, I believe If I changed Ting Tang's second trait to Armor Expert instead of Improvised Defense and spend 5 gp on a buckler it would change the fluff a little but not the crunch. It was my goal to play him in PFS eventually so if there are any other glitches please let me know. Thank you and good luck to all

I would be honored to have a 5star VL in our team and I hope to learn from him. So I vote for Luke parry!

Silver Crusade

Alexos does not particularly care whom he adventures with, so long as they somewhat honorable.

Translation: I have no preferences for classes beyond the outlines given by our fearless GM. I will abstain from voting unless there is a tie somehow... with me abstaining though it should be a 1 to 2 split unless the GM weighs in with a vote... in which case, I vote the same as her. Good luck y'all!

If there's still time, I've got a concept that will work for a new PFS character, a Barbarian with the Mad Dog archetype (from Animal Archive) and a Velociraptor companion. I haven't gotten much chance to play PFS, but I would love to get this going :)

I'll second that.

For the sixth, rogue(ish) slot, my vote goes to Ting Tang

Grand Lodge

" Sure n you'd like the birdman more n me. Might be so. He's got lil O me beat in the fightin' maybe. But for all a his life O crime, I'm sure I can be stealthier and am a mite better at trapsmithin'. But you be makin' yuir own mind about what it tis you need."

No worries, he's new to PbP, so luck to all. But please let us know who you pick. XD

Blimy It aint wroight you’s bein’ jelousy ‘ittle one, Davinder he wouldn’t approve.
Unrhyw ffordd merch os fi oedd yn gwisgo dim ond cot law, byddai i fod yn gyflymach hefyd.

hafling:
any way girl if I was wearing only me underwear, i would be quicker too.

You problably have the advantage because you are already a pathfinder character, I still need to get Ting Tang registered (?), whichever happens thanks for the opportunity to role play him a little, like I said I’m knocking off a lot of rust and good luck to you!

Ting Tang, turning to the Sylph says You’s me good sir ‘ave tha Savy o’ an owl, an I’s means at from tha bottom o’ me craw!

Liberty's Edge

Setting down his pack and rummaging through it he pulls out a crumpled piece of paper I’s ‘ave ‘is piece ‘o pyrus ‘ats got me affidavy on it writ by a bloke I’s knows name a Halungalom, says pathfiners knows whats its afore. he is willing to hand it to anyone who will read it (he doesn’t read Gnome) hoping someone can give him more information.

I’ve registered Ting Tang with PFS, it may not be worth more than the digital paper it’s written on in the sense of guaranteeing his legality, so any observations would be appreciated, thanks.

Grand Lodge

Since there are no more votes coming, I think we are going to pick Hans (Luke_Parry) and Ting Tang. Thanks for the application everybody else, maybe we will meet again in another game.

Cheers.

Silver Crusade

Congrats to both of you!

Grand Lodge

Congratz! Have fun and good luck!
