squawk
reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
ting jumps back from the statue as it shocks him
I knew he should have just taken twenty
after ting recovers a little from the initial shock he peaks around the statue to see what is on the other side
this time he will take twenty on perception to see what is in the room he will also take twenty on perception to see it the trap on the statue is still activated so he can warn the party
Oy tha bloody beautiful b!@#&h bit me's, let me takes a looks see if'n I cans sorts it out, Wroight?
Alexos Virden

Alexos sniffs the air and tries not to think about the roasted foul he had last night for dinner.
"Felicitas, mind seeing to our fried friend here? I am going to examin the room."
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Alexos looks around, checking for traps, hidden passages, monsters... treasure for the poor bird... anything of interest.

The ceiling of this cavernous chamber vaults to a height of sixty feet, forming an architectural wonder unsupported by any visible columns or buttresses. Forty feet overhead, a wide stone bridge with an elaborately carved railing arches over the chamber from north to south, joining two sets of massive bronze doors at either end. The central portion of the chamber contains an inlaid spiral symbol and is recessed into the floor, with eight staircases leading up to a wide ledge that encircles the room ten feet above. On this ledge stand bronze doors to the east and west. Eight larger-than-life statues stand upon the ledge as well, evenly spaced around the room’s circumference—seven carved from white stone, and the eighth carved from black stone.
This is the ossuary’s Grand Cathedral, dedicated to Pharasma, though in an architectural style much different from the gothic Pharasmin cathedrals of the modern day. The spiral symbol inlaid on the floor is Pharasma's holy symbol. Though not a major god in the Thassilonian pantheon, Pharasma was still worshiped primarily as the goddess of death (though also in her other aspects as goddess of birth, fate, and prophecy), and the ossuary and cathedral itself were dedicated to her.
Ting can see that the trap on the statue of Alaznist will reset in 7 minutes. The statue to the right is also trapped with a Shocking Grasp Trap. DC26 to disable The other statues are too far away to tell if they are trapped.

ting surprised and grateful that Felicitas would use not only one but two healing spells responds
Why's thank ye miss, I mights 'ave underestimated ya, I won't let 'at happens again, wroight
as he looks in her direction and tips an imaginary hat. then looking at the rest of the group he says
yous blokes may want ta get out o' 'at hole. I believe 'is here bloody beautiful stature is agonna reset soon an ya's may not want ta burn yer bloody tail feathers tha ways I jus' did. Blimey, lets all takes a looks around but don't touch nothing tills I's done looken fer traps, At first stature ta the right is booby trapped too an there's bound ta be other ones wroight?
he then will move in a clock wise fashion taking twenty searching all seven remaining statues for traps and hidden doorways sorry about the game time delay, but ting learned his lesson, he does not want to smell like Alexos supper ever again!
Viincent
|
Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Viincent whistles, "This seems to be the pharasmin heart of this placce..."
Looking at the other statues he continues, "I wonder if the other statues have doors behind them as well."
Alexos Virden
|
"Interesting. We definately need to record this then... I vote we examine the black statue.
Alexos moves forward toward the statue, keeping his eyes open for traps.
Going to take a ten on perception while moving slowly.
Ting Tang
|
which one is the black statue? when ting is done checking the statue at 10;00 (like on a clock face) he will check the black statue for traps and hidden doorways then continue his checks on the rest
Ting Tang
|
is there any steps or ladder or climbable walls up to the bridge or do we have to go around?
while Alexos looks at the black statue, ting will look more closely at the two doors, he will search for traps, check to see if they are locked and listen for movement,he will start on the west side they came in and then check the east side
please let ting take twenty on perception for checking the two doors
after ting checks all the statues he tells the group
blimey, theys got secrety doors 'hind all thems stature's and every single bloody stature has a shocksy lit'le surprise lykes the bloody one we came pas' he nods toward the bronze doors I's agonna eye balls tha two shiny bronzy doorzy's, if'n you's blokes want me ta try them there shocksy traps, i'll drops me armor, but it'l be's bloody hard an' more 'an lykly we's'l waiste a lots o' charges from Felicitas lovely wand 'air, but see'n's ya picked me fer tha trapsys I's'l do it if'n ya's wants, but I votes we explores arounds a lit'le bits foist. wrought?
do we want to try the traps now or latter, we may want to save the cure light wounds for a potential big bad and come back to the traps afterwards or if we need something to continue, just food for thought

The black statue is carved from dark diorite and is threefold in form, portraying a tall woman with three faces looking in three different directions. One side has a kind face and cradles a baby in its arms, while a second side displays a more stern expression and holds an hourglass. The third face has a crazed look; its hands are empty, but thornless roses twine up both arms.
The statue is an archaic representation of Pharasma in her three aspects: the midwife, the reaper, and the prophet.
The two bronze doors are not trapped. You cannot reach the bridge, it's 30 ft above you and the walls are not climbable.
Ting Tang
|
just trying to think outside the box here, what if we threw something on the statues, triggering the electric shock and then pushed them out of the way? would something tossed on them do that can ting take a knowledge: traps using his disable device skill to figure it out?
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Hey blokes what if we toss somethin' on 'em staure's ta spoils tha trap fier a lit'le bits wroight?
Alexos Virden
|
Now this one is an interesting statue. Definately want to draw this one.
Alexos says as he draws the three differing facades of the woman.
Religion has never been my strongest suit, anyone have an idea of who this is?
Alexos remarks as he is trying to examine the statue for traps and for useful items.
perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
Sefu Sekala
|
Hearing that the trap will reset, Sefu hustles into the central chamber.
"Ting may be on to something," Sefu says, pulling some trail rations from his backpack. "Let's see if this is enough to trigger the trap."
Standing a good six feet away from the statue closest to the tengu, the magus tosses the pouch of dried fruits and meat at it, hoping to trigger the trap.
If this fails, Sefu will suggest retrieving the dead sinspawn for a second attempt.
Ting Tang
|
Ats a wroight smart ideas Cap'ain looking at Sefu If'n at ain't 'eavy 'nough what bloody bits should we's tries next? Wroight?
I was thinking the sinspawn also, lets wait until after the seven minutes to make sure that the trap resetting does not also move the statue back, I wouldn't want anyone to get trapped away from the party
| Standard Pregen |
Hans shrugs.
"We probably could, but I am sure that there is another way to get to the bridge; I doubt that whomever built this place would not have arranged *some* convenient way to reach it..."
"Right now, though, I am more interested in finding out what is behind all of these hidden doors, that was so important they needed to be trapped, as well..."
Ting Tang
|
lets see if Sefu has sprung the trap, that will be easier than disabling them, as long as the first statue doesn't slide back none of the rest should either
All statues have hidden doors behind them, but they are not reachable without moving the statue.
does that include the black statue or just the seven white statues?
Ting Tang
|
ting disappointed that the food did not trigger the trap
Blimey 'at byrd seed may not o' been 'eavy enough to set off tha fire woirks, anybody wants ta grab tha lusty dead thingy and throws it on 'air, or shall we just move tha black stature and goes through tha secrety door behind it? Wroight
Ting walks over to the black statue and tries to push it like he did the first one
strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
like I said a bantam weight, any one want to help,
Ting Tang
|
extra hit points for ten minutes oh dear god what's on the other side of the door? If its ok I moved every ones pieces closer to the door
aid: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
ting looks carefully at the door and listens he will take twenty on the perception checks and if the door is clean he will open it
Oy, chaps lets see whats in here's wroight
GM Baerlie
|
Ting opens the door and looks into catacombs. These catacombs are similar to those of the Runecrypts, but were used to inter the Thassilonian clergy of Pharasma, who were not sworn to one of the seven runelords. No undead guard these crypts — most of the bodies here have long since decayed into dust; those that remain crumble apart with a touch.
Ting Tang
|
ting walks into the crypt looking around as he goes
Oy, what do you's blokes figur, should we's goes 'is a way or do ya's wanna keep tossen stuff at tha other statures? wroight?
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
ting heads about twenty foot into the crypt
Ting Tang
|
ting antsy and disappointed that he didn't find anything of interest, and not wanting to give up, heads deeper into the crypt and looks around again,
at the end of the hall he will take twenty looking for trap doors
| Feli2 |
"We should respect the dead here. Especially the holy symbols. I do not think pharasme will look kindly upon us if we desecrate her chosen. The wand is a diffrent matter, but please let the rest lay in peace!"
Ting Tang
|
as ting gently sets the holy symbols down and offers the wand to Felicitas
bloody silvers all wroight but sparkly gems is betters, here miss yous knows magicy stuff maybe's ya can put 'is ta use. looking at Hans 'em statures makes 'em hidden doors roughs as rocks, 'is door 'ear looks easy peasy, an we's can always come backs ta tha statures wroight?
and with that ting loosens his sword and turning opens the secret door at the end of the crypt
south door in crypt 10
Alexos Virden
|
Alexos removes one of the silver icons and copies its pattern and design.
"Don't worry, I'll put it back... just want a sketch for my records and our employers... they should get a kick out of it."
Once he is finished, he replaces it, almost reverantly.
Ting Tang
|
ting, remembering the tentackly thingy under the stairs, stops to take a long look around looking for any signs of activities, like tracks and listening carefully and looking for traps or anything interesting.
ting takes twenty on perception and on survival to look for tracks also
@Alexos do you have access to the map or do you still need visual information described?
Ting Tang
|
we are in a crypt off of that room behind the black statue, that room with the bridge was 90ft. across and basically a square with the corners facing to the points of the compass. the bridge went north and south, the bronze doors east and west the eight statues were at 1:00, 2:00, 4:00, 5:00, 7:00, 8:00, 10:00 and 11:00 with the bronze doors at 3:00 and 9:00 and the bridge running north and south with its doors at 12:00 and 6:00. the southerly door appears to be 75 ft. north of the first room we stepped into off of the stairs.
the black statue you were looking at was south, south, east:,, or at 5:00 when ting pushed it, it moved aside like the white statue at 8:oo or the south, west: where we entered the room at. So we entered a crypt that is 45 ft long and 5 ft wide that had three alcoves off of it that is running north and south parallel to the first hall where, we found the six rooms {where the sin spawn and bloated zombie were at). Sorry now that I reread that Its more confusing than I realized. Sufficed to say "Toto, I don't think were in Kansas anymore":-)
Alexos Virden
|
OK, think that makes sense... we are in a room that connected to the room behind the black statue we explored.
Alexos looks around the hidden room.
"The crafters of this place certainly liked their hidden chambers and passageways. The church is going to love this."
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Sefu Sekala
|
"This place boggles the mind," Sefu says. "How it was even constructed is beyond me."
He stands beside Alexos with his khopesh drawn and ready.
Ting Tang
|
GM Baerlie, anytime ting takes 20 on perception, or anything else, do you also want him to make a role just in case? If so these are for the area near the hole
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 to listen or hidden doors
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 for traps
survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 for tracks
GM Baerlie
|
If he's taking 20, I don't need a roll.
Alexos looks around in the room, just in case they forgot something, but he doesn't find anything new.
Ting cannot see to the ground of the hole. There are no traps or hidden doors around. But what Ting can see is, that there are human footsteps in the dust on the floor. They seem to be fresh, just a few days old.
