Ting Tang
|
ting loosens his sword in its scabbard well blokes since we gots two bloody doors left lets eyeballs whats behin em, wroight and he opens the most northern door on the left.
Ting Tang
|
ting walks in the room
well blimey talks about a bloody mess, wroight.
ting begins his normal search for traps, hidden doors and interesting things
he will take 20 on perception if he can if not here is a role
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Ting Tang
|
Ting very excitedly shouts out, his voice sounding like the caw of a crow
heys everbody get yer floggin fanies in heres, we gots us a 'idden entry
he then realized he may of warned whoever could be on the other side of the door. HE listens for any noise; then looks for traps and will pick any lock he's finds.
he will take twenty on the listening, looking and unlocking
Alexos, ting had left the room before he waited for Baerlie to post about the elixir of love and a potion of eagle’s splendor, so I am assuming you picked them up :-)
when Alexos comes into the room; and ting is done looking, listening and unlocking he looks at Alexos smiling and says.
Looks a' 'is doors I founds! beaming with pride Oh an' could ya cypher wha' were in tha two floggin bottles?
Viincent
|
Viincent steps up and pats Ting on the back, "Nicely done Ting! It does leave us in a bit of a pickle though... Should we venture through the hidden door, or head back and see where the hallway leads us?"
Ting Tang
|
ting ruffles his tail feather and stands up a little straighter at the compliment and attempts to be humble
'ats a assessyment everybodys will haf ta parlay ons, wroight
ting thinks for a minute
me only assessyment is ifin we's all can be's slick usen secrety places mioght surprise tha buggers taken tha boddies. Ifin we aint a gonna be slick we's use tha hallways, wroight?
ting doesn't care which way we go, he will follow along just happy he actually found a hidden door and that he is part of a pathfinder crew without his mentor or his grandfather. He's not nearly as experienced as he wants to let on
Sefu Sekala
|
"I can take a look at those potions before we enter the unseen passage," Sefu says, accepting the bottles if and when they are offered to him.
The magus casts detect magic on them and then scrutinizes their contents, holding each up to the light of his wayfinder and gently swirling them about.
DC 19 Spellcraft - elixir of love: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
DC 17 Spellcraft - potion of eagle's splendor: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
"This one," Sefu says, handing Ting the first bottle, "Is an elixir of love. Careful who you give that to. And this is a potion of eagle's splendor. A sip of that might even make Hans a palatable conversant."
Alexos Virden
|
Sorry about the delay, had some dental issues... still ongoing.
Alexos looks at the passage.
Might as well continue this way before heading back.
As he says this he removes one of his alchemist's fire potions from his pack.
If anything is in there, maybe it won't like being on fire.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Alexos listens to the door intently.
Ting Tang
|
Ting checks the second small door for noise and then for traps, if the door is clear he opens it
perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
'ear ya goes, lets me takes a look see wroight?
wow what a awful role, so much for not just taking twenties
GM Baerlie

Ting can't hear movement behind the door. After opening the door Ting sees a skeletal champion. He stands motionless in the central northern alcove until someone opens the door to the crypt and appears as a tall skeleton wearing ancient half-plate armor engraved with runes of wrath and wielding an elaborate ceremonial ranseur. A cold blue light glows in his empty eye sockets.
This is the crypt of wrath. The servants of the Runelord of Wrath were buried in this crypt, and a special guardian was chosen to watch over their remains. One of Runelord Alaznist’s palace guards, a man named Erdikhaan, was so loyal to his mistress that he volunteered to serve her even in death — as such, she had Erdikhaan animated as a skeletal champion and placed him in the Crypt of Wrath to guard her deceased followers interred here forever after
| Feli2 |
KHist: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
"Beware, this is a crypt guardian. He was so loyal, that he offered to be killed and serve here for eternety. I think it´s high time to send him to his earned rest!"
Ting Tang
|
is there any common knowledge about fighting skeletons we are allowed to know Ie. bludgeon weapons work better, is he moving and should we role for initiative
Squawk! Is skeletal eye balls supposy to glow blue liokes at?
Alexos Virden
|
Hm, time to switch throwns. Alexos mutters as he replaces his alch fire flask inside is pack and takes out the holy water one he received earlier.
Ting, mind doing the honors? My aim isn't the best.
Alexos offers the flask to Ting.
Having to post from work for the next several weeks, so if someone will move my token and describe where we are/how far I am in relation to threats, I would be appreciative.
Ting Tang
|
All rioghty,
ting shrugging his shoulders takes the flask from Alexos and moves the twenty feet [drawing his sword as he moves} to be standing right in front of the Skeleton and throws the holy water on the dead warrior and then pecks at him
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 touch attack
damage: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6
attack: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 natural attack
damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
apparently tings aim is not the best either :-(lets hope his armor stands up better than his throwing arm or his pecking
Alexos the corridor is 5 ft wide 10 ft north then turns and goes 25 ft east the skeleton is in an alcove on the north side in the middle of the hall, ting was 20 ft away, being in the room behind the first door, hans is 25 ft away being right outside the first door and everyone else including yourself is appx 30 ft
Ting Tang
|
not your fault ting can't throw Alexos, anyway I was looking for an excuse to peck at him, I was planning on hitting him and then going past to force a flank, lets see how that works out, like I said we just hope the armor holds
Ting ducks a little as Hans sword goes swishing overhead
she's always elpen you's big guy, watch out I tink she wants ta use tha whip on ya, mioght ruin 'em purty white furs wrioght? he he he
ting finds himself funny as he awaits his own possible demise
GM Baerlie

The skeletal champion has AC21, touch only 12. DR is 5 except bludgeoning and he's immune to cold and undead traits. He wears half-plate armor and uses a masterwork ranseur.
Init. Alexos: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Init. Felicitas: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Init. Sefu: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Init. Hans: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Init. Ting: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Init. Viincent: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Init. Erdikhaan: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
The champion starts moving as soon as Ting comes closer to him. Ting and Hans try to get rid of him before he can act, but both attacks are not successfull. I consider this as a surprise round
Round 1
Hans
Erdikhaan
Alexos
Ting
Felicitas
Sefu
Viincent
Ting Tang
|
Baerlie, is the map reasonably accurate? You said Erdikhaan started moving, did he come out of his alcove or were we able to pin him in? I'm only asking because the ranseur is a reach weapon and if he is in the alcove ting may slide east after he attacks in round 1 so he can provide a flank in round two. Thanks
Ting Tang
|
ting watches nervously as the skeleton awakens
if'n we aint hit 'is thing whiles its a nappen hows we gonna hit its when its fightin back
ting speaks to Hans trying to keep the fear out of his voice
Hans ya wants me's ta try an keep 'is bloody bag o bones pinned in 'is here alleycove or ya wants me ta ease over when I's can, so's we can flanks it?
| Standard Pregen |
"We should keep him pinned, so he can't use that weapon. It might be worth continually trading places, though, so we can each get a good hit in on him on a regular basis."
Basically, each round will go like this: Round 1 - Hans delays. Ting full attacks, then 5' steps. Hans then steps into the vacated spot, and attacks. Round 2 - Ting delays, Hans attacks, then 5' steps. Ting steps to fill the vacated spot, and full attacks. Rise and repeat, as necessary.
Ting Tang
|
Swing away Bisector show 'is bag o' bones wha cha gots, wroight?
its ok if ting holds him while Hans hit at him, ting can fight defensively putting him at AC22 and so if the skeleton one hands his weapon and swings ting should avoid to much damage, if he decides to use a combat maneuver both are +18 so that's a wash, also Hans does more damage than ting will. either way its Hans attack he has highest initiative
| Standard Pregen |
Yes, but with the cover afforded to the skeleton by Hans striking at him from around a corner, Hans needs a natural 20 to hit him (18 if Hans rages).
Hans shrugs.
"Okay, Ting Tang..."
He then works himself up into a fury, and takes a swing!
Greatsword, Rage: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 5 + 2 = 27, for 2d6 + 10 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4) + 10 + 3 = 19 damage.
Ting Tang
|
way to call your shot. I didn't realize about the cover, I thought that was just for range weapons :-( newby should listen to experience
Ways ta go gov'na, 'ats showen 'at bloody bony b@$+^%d
GM Baerlie
|
LOL, it doesn't matter any more. The Skeleton is defeated.
With a mighty blow Hans swings his greatsword at the skeletal champion. He hits him hard at the rips and the spine. Erdikhaan falls down into a pile of bones.
Erdikhaan carries a half-plate armor and a masterwork ranseur.
| Standard Pregen |
Hans looks quite surprised by his lucky blow, but quickly recovers.
"I might take that ranseur; it is always useful to have a spare weapon with extra reach... Ting Tang, why don't you explore the rest of this area? Hopefully, there won't be any more of those things in here..."
Ting Tang
|
again a newby question, can we pack the arm and leg armor and use the breastplate of the half-plate as breastplate armor? Seems like some barbarian, not to name any names, may have earned a little love, I mean armor
ting explores the rest of the burial chambers
he will take twenty on perception looking for traps, secret doors and any other interesting things
Ting Tang
|
ting, still a little in aw
gov'na it aint tha I don't lyke tha white fur an all, but woulds ya be able ta us any o' 'his armor? I doesn't wants ta cramp yer great white killer mojo, but as far as I's care all o' bony britches gear 'ere is yers fer tha taken. wroight. So are we's headed back tha ways we came or are we goin through tha door on the easterly side? you's five just point me's in tha wroight direction wroight?
ting goes to the door to the east takes 20 on perception and looks for traps and listens for any sounds
| Standard Pregen |
Hans grins at Felicitas.
"Heh. You should see some of my brothers! I am by no means a runt, but in the Land of the Linnorn Kings, there are many mighty warriors, some of whom have even taken on Linnorns and lived..."
At the suggestion that he should put on the armor, Hans nods.
"That would probably be a good idea..."
So saying, he spends a couple of minutes cleaning the bones out of the breastplate, and putting it on.
When Vincent discovers the door, Hans throws a question in Ting Tang's direction: "Why don't you check it for traps? This is going to take a while..."
Ting Tang
|
After the obvious flirting of the male and female human and the subtle hint when
"Why don't you check it for traps? This is going to take a while..."
Ting became disturbed that he may soon become an unwilling observant to some human mating ritual and decided to give the two some space in case Felicitas offered to help Hans "put on his new armor" ting may be young but he knew what that meant. So after Ting listened at the eastern door and checked it for traps Ting opens the door and says
come on you's blokes 'es two may needs a bit o' space ta try's 'at new armor out, wroight?
looking at Hans as he exit the crypt and winking he says
blimey, don't 'ank me's gov'na you's eyarn'd it
Alexos Virden

"Let me take a look at this statue."
Alexos examines the statue, attempting to dicern what it is and whether it has any traps or hidden compartments.
Knowledge (History): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
"Well, she certainly was a beauty. I present Alaznist, Runelord of Wrath... with her Ranseur."
Alexos makes a detailed drawing in his journal.
| Standard Pregen |
Hans nods.
"Well, we did just pass through a 'Wrath' room, so I suppose that that would make sense, after a fashion... Ting Tang? is there a trap on it? I get suspicious when there is a statue blocking the exit from a tunnel..."
Ting Tang
|
Lets me check real quicks wroight
ting looks at the statue for traps real quick
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
I hate it when I just don't take 20 :-)
ting assuming the statue is clear attempts to push it out of the way
strength: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
