Flash of Insight: You can spend a Harrow point to attempt a skill check that normally requires training for a skill in which you have no ranks. You gain a one-time +5 bonus to that skill check.
Intelligence Rerolls: You can spend a Harrow point to reroll any one Intelligence-based check. You must abide by the new result, even if it's lower (but you can spend more Harrow points to reroll again if you want to).
Focused Thought: You can reattempt a Knowledge check that you have previously failed. On this attempt, you gain a +10 bonus on the check.

Whoops, I goofed. Dazzling Display is a full round action, not standard (normal demoralize is standard). She only moved about 10 feet, so I think we can safely switch her to a 5 foot step. I think the foes on the ground were still all within 30 feet, although the Red Maiden might not have been. Sorry about that. Everyone else should have been affected.
Aw man, I totally spaced on that too (I blame GMing for a swashbuckler IRL who gets to demoralize everything that moves basically for free). Sounds good!

Oooh, dang. The saving shield is a good point, but I just forgot that was a thing you had. Sorry. When I have to bot players, I gravitate toward simple choices since that's where I feel safest saying, "Yes, they would be ok with this choice." :P
I think we're just waiting on Riceak's action for this round, so I'll let you get that in! Hope you had a happy new year! :)

Sorry about that, Riceak. I think that Teodor wanted to get to Anca as soon as he could. As for me, well, Korriban wanted to get rid of the Maidens and Physicians as soon as possible. They were coming at us both with the intent to arrest or to really hurt us. Sorry for going against the plan you had in mind.

It's cool y'all. Things happen. Riceak is a professional mercenary (with a heart of gold), and he figured that the situation would go downhill fast what with all the patients nearby. Hence his plan to take the fight away from the patients and hopefully avoid any civilian casualties.
Although, he'll have a word with the spellcasters though. Especially given that he told them to take out the archers as he figured that they would pose the highest threat to the patients as he was trying to get rid of them before they killed anymore patients. Riceak is a big picture sort of guy as he tries to minimize effects of battle on innocent bystanders. He knows that he can't always succeed at that goal but dang it, he's going to do everything he can to at least try and make sure some random farmer or chimney sweep gets to see their family again.
Since Riceak would have used his saving shield feat to protect any of the patients, is there anyway we could retcon that one instance where the arrow bounced off his shield and hit a patient as to being that the patient would badly injured? The patient isn't dead but he'll be dead soon if he don't heal him right away. Riceak would have used his shield to make sure the patient didn't get killed. Also, he'll have a few choice words for Teodor. He knows that the cleric doesn't want to summon celestials (he still finds it stupid that teodor can't summon good aligned creatures even though that would result in killing and thus ending more evil lives, something that Riceak would think that Teodor's deity and faith would be okay with). Riceak is also something of a long term thinker at times as he figures that if you're fighting undead and plague cultists you're going to need some heavenly help from time to time.
I apologize if I'm ranting on but I do accept the fault that I should I have told y'all about the saving shield feat and the tactics Riceak had planned.
Riceak is probably going to make sure that any loot (gold, gems, art objects, magical items we don't need) is used to resurrect the two patients who died or if that can't be done he'll help their families with the funeral costs.

I wouldn't expect that talk to go well. Teodor came to save Anca. Everything else is tertiary. And Teodor doesn't distinguisn/care about good and evil. Everything Ends at its time.

Depends on what Riceak says actually. Although I'm wondering: how would he convince Teodor to summon good aligned creatures that wouldn't be seen as going against his faith?
This is all something we can discuss when the time comes, but at the moment we're waiting on an action over in Gameplay! :P If we don't have one tomorrow morning I'm going to have to bot you again, Riceak.
Happy to retcon the Saving Shield thing so that one of the patients avoids an arrow.

Also I probably worded my question wrong: I was using Riceak as an example as I was just curious on how Teodor acts around Celestial beings. Since you mentioned that he finds them repulsive, And if he told Riceak that, my character is going to think that Teodor has a phobia of celestial beings!
Riceak likes to make sure that people are comfortable in a combat situation. He's like the stern, yet caring drill sergeant who will get in your face and chew you out for not shaving while at the same time tell you everything's going to be alright after you found out that your wife and child were killed in a car accident. Sorry for the dismal analogy there.
and I should have a post up soon. We're expecting some snow this weekend so I want to try and get things going.

A couple belated thoughts:
- We can always discuss party tactics OOC here -- and otherwise understand different PCs are going to have different takes on strategy and we just do our best to work together, knowing there's going to be bumps.
- Suggestions are welcome, telling other folks how to play their characters not so much. Let's be sure to tow that line. :)

Not too much of note; the physicians are pretty much down for the count (only one remaining conscious failed his save against hold person), and the Gray Maiden who lost her now has headed down to the ground level. Assumed you would want to engage her, so I moved you over toward where she emerged.
Good job getting through that fight, all! I am going to be in DC for the March tomorrow, so likely will not have time to post until Sunday or Monday. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Thanks, Korriban! It was a good time. Wish I'd known you were going to be there, Callie--I didn't see that post until I was on my way home late last night. Did you have a good time? The turnout was astounding!

I did, it was amazing! My only complaint is I wish I could have heard more of the rally... we tried to get close to the stage but the stage was facing the opposite direction from where it should based on how it was telling people to approach the intersection, so we couldn't hear or see anything. But it was great to be there and be a part of it.

I managed to catch an early-ish train (though we intended to take the 7:35 and left at 8:30 because of the crowds), and then we left early-mid afternoon (the actual march was to start at 1:15 and it hadn't started by 2:15 and the crowd we were standing in started getting really anxious--not dangerous, but antsy--about why it wasn't starting, so we pulled out) and managed to catch a less insane train home. (My understanding is the actual march started at 3 or 3:15 or so and was excellent.) Sounds like I caught the early part of the day and you caught the later part.

The main thing you missed was the end of combat: all of your foes are dead (one), unconscious (most) and/or tied up. One alone is conscious and bound: the group is currently interrogating him. See my post from this morning for his info (there's a fair amount, I don't want to retype it all here!).

If I need to re-link the character or something just let me know!
Riceak, going to bot you for a moment--assuming you want to get upstairs to the fight, there's not much you can do this round aside from hustling on up the stairs anyway!

Hey the Norv, have you PMed Riceak by any chance? I'm wondering if he's not seeing (new) tags on the thread, then maybe he also didn't see your reply to him on Friday (or mine yesterday). (I could also PM him but was wondering if it had been already done.)

I'm still here, but Paizo has been acting stupid for me lately. It's been deleting my posts (seriously messed me up in one of my games), and it's even messing up my die rolls. Not sure what's going on, but I apologize for that. I was going to check yesterday and the day before, but I had to pull double shift both days due to closers calling out. More money for me, but less time to check updates. Again I apologize.
Hey Riceak! No need for apology, especially if the site's been a pain. I've checked and you're still listed as a current PC in the campaign, so hopefully you'll start seeing the "new post" notifications again...let me know if not and I'll see what we can do!

It's no problem. Made sense for the Maidens to have a key.
Also, I finally updated Korriban's alias to have new scars from wound throughout the adventure so far. Been saying that I'd do that for quite some time.
