Cop BFF? You mean the scout guy? Why would I?

It's just... I interacted with the guy twice. Maybe three times. And all of those were just so we could get more information about Silverback or something. He's a city guard... In a city where I don't intend to stay. AFAIK, he isn't particularly important or interesting.

It would be nice if at least occasionally you guys would respond to proposals made in character by speaking in character. =/
Well... I thought that if 2/3 of the party accepts the suggestion, it'd be assumed I had accepted as well, unless I protested. PbP is pretty slow already, if we wait for everyone to reply to every proposal, it'll take us forever to do anything.
The plan wasn't "crime and intrigue" going froward...this is just a city. There were other plot hooks you could have followed without ever encountering the baron again. It's just that when your stated goal was "Find a dangerous thief (turned assassin)", dealing with the criminal element is kind of expected...
That's where the campaign seemed to be heading, though... Remember this post?
I want to know partially to see what plans are going forward. In particular, if you'd be interested in tracking down Silverback's employer.
Emphasis mine.
This had me worried. I was afraid I'd either feel compelled to stray from the party again or stick around but be so unmotivated that I'd only play my combat turns... It'd only hurt everyone's enjoyment of the game.
I know I can be a pain-in-the-ass player sometimes... And it's something I'm trying to fix or at least alleviate... But in this case, not only I'd be unmotivated to help, I'd be hoping we fail.

Why would you hope you fail to find the guy who hired the guy one of your party has a personal vendetta against?
I just really don't know what your deal has been this whole time. You keep saying it's because of the character you're playing but near as I can tell your character doesn't have any specific motivation that conflicts with anything that has come up so far.
Throw me a bone, here. You keep shooting down potential avenues for where to take the game but haven't provided any alternatives either besides saying you want to do random dungeon delves for a while. Which is fine, but not as interesting to me as tying the game into actual character stuff like Dorla just had. It could even be both at once!
It doesn't even have to be a backstory thing, or anything heavy and serious, just SOMETHING. What is your goal? Anything your character has ever wanted to do?
Did you always want to see the ocean? Meet a dragon? Swing on vines through a jungle?
Figure out where you originally came from? Reunite with an old lover? Learn how to fly?
Same stuff goes for Thetsu as well.
This helps me figure out places for said dungeon delves. Even if it's something you OOC want to do and project it onto your character, it helps me immensely to have some specific options for locations.
You have one thing that could make a really interesting hook in your backstory (beyond the usual Elan potential angst), but you never mentioned it so I figured it might not be something you wanted to pursue? The whole "unknown piece of bio-tech" thing.
The main thing that's sapping my interest is Donovan seems BORED. Which makes me think YOU'RE bored. You never want to do anything. No dialogue with NPCs, no dialogue with the other PCs, no small errands to run in your downtime, just...nothing.
"I wander around aimlessly" or "I sleep in the vehicle while everyone else takes care of business".
It bothers me. Maybe more than it should, but it reaaaallllly does.

Because the guy against whom we had a vendetta is already dead... And I don't want to help the baron.

But there's no business to be taken care of (well, other than piloting, but I can't do that and don't really want to, either) and no errands to run (other than upgrading the gear, which I did). There's nothing else to it, I simply couldn't think of anything to do during the trip.
Donovan's just loitering around for now because we're in an enclosed space. So I posted something that could be done inside that space. I suppose I could say Donovan is training, meditating, reading or watching the scenery, if you prefer... I just wanted to post something in-character that could be done inside the vehicle.
I promise to be more proactive the next time the party does something.

Ah, OK... My mistake, then. I was under impression we had only skipped the days necessary to upgrade our gear and were still travelling.

I had actually written a cool intro/backround but lost it to foolishness. As such, I'll roll with whatever would logically follow a duergar exile who longs to be like a normal dwarf and seeks to prove not all grey dwarves are bad. and get rich in the doing, of course. As a psion, its reasonable that I could be at that sort of place in the city. I was going to roll the 1d4 for my power stones I purchased anyway.
CHANCE!: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Well, LOL at that.
There ya go; I am to be found lividly cursing a psionics merchant for swindling me with faulty merchandise. I sound and look like a typical dwarf, thanks to Disguise and Everyman, which I have used to go to the market for fear of the locals' reaction to a hated grey dwarf.

Excellent. Then, I just make myself look like a traditional dwarf out of hero-emulation and worship. And not all the time, just on big shopping days and before important social interactions that I have some foreknowledge of.

LOL! Don't worry, man... It's not your fault! It's just that there are three scenes taking place at the same time. I can't tell who Sundakan is replying to... Or where each PC is. XD

It sounds arduous and challenging, but also potentially legend-inspiring. Oh, and REALLY long.

Well... I liked them as well... Theya re still Diablo, after all... But not nearly as much as I liked the other levels. The scenery is always the same and there's little to be seen, so it gets boring. Even the monsters are not as cool... Who cares about giant moths and wasp swarms when you spend he rest of your time fighting hordes of demons, undead and fallen angels?

Can I change my last feat I took? I still want Additional Discovery, but I want to change my discovery. I don't think the one I picked is going to be very useful.
I want to take the wings discovery. Also, since it's only flavor not mechanics, can they be dragon wings, even though that's not an option in the description?

Batteries are common enough and cheap enough that caring a few of them is a good idea even if you have no particular use for them...
Donovan doesn't have anything that requires batteries (Because the riles for batteries are stupid and micromanaging items is a pain!), but he still carries 5 (I think) of them.

I'm gonna kick things off in the morning. Suppose I'll ask before I put TOO much thought into it: How much of an "adventure" do you want this trip to be? I'm perfectly cool making it a month-long sequence of stuff happening before you even get there, but I'm not sure if you guys want to play this day by day or just get on to the dungeon delving temple raid.
I'm okay having obstacles during the trip, but I don't to there be 30 of them... Also, while I don't mind having 1 or 2 random encounters, it'd be more fun if the challenges were something more than "roll initiative - kill - loot - repeat".

Those could be interesting... Though terrain hazards have the problem that we're in a large vehicle, which means most of our abilities are moot and there isn't much that anyone other than the driver can do.
There's a reason most people aren't fans of the vehicle combat rules... :P

I am open to "travel stuff," being a firm believer in "the journey is potentially as interesting as the destination." Im not familiar enough with vehicle rules to really express a relevant opinion. That being said, I have no qualms with whatever the general consensus is, and my personal input would amount to saying I think an encounter involving Mulas(sp?) could be a lot of fun. They're desert-dwelling, so they COULD theoretically be out there.
