I likey. How about marching order, both in dungeons and in the wild?
I think for both dungeon and wild we could use the following marching order
1rst row:Oxnard (tank), and Bal, Tork or Grenz(for darkvision)
2nd row:Fibek, Rhi
last row 2= out of the 3 1/2orcs (Bal, Tork, or Grenz), whoever isn't in the front
anyone of the 1/2 orcs will be fine in the front row comments preferences? complaints?

IT would be safer to watch in groups of two, I did think about that. But will it allow us enough rest? To allow everyone to sleep 8 hours, we would need to make 4 hour watches, and bunk down for 12 hours. Or am I looking at it wrong?
As for the marching order, I'm cool with it. Would suggest me scoutig ahead in dungeons, or other areas that may call for it - I am the rogue after all ;)

Oxnard |

Was everyone supposed to roll 3d8 or just Grenz?
1d8 ⇒ 1
1d8 ⇒ 6
1d8 ⇒ 5
So Watch order is:
Rhîan-nôn
Fibek
Tork
Grenz
Baaliantar
Oxnard
Marching order is:
Wilderness
Oxnard - Tork
Rhîan-nôn - Fibek
Grenz - Bal
Dungeon
Grenz
Oxnard
Rhian-non
Fibek
Bal
Tork
Maybe this could be put in the "Campaign" tab?

Rhîan-nôn |

Actually nope Bards do not have that limitation! A witch may know any number of spells. She must choose and prepare her spells ahead of time by getting 8 hours of sleep and spending 1 hour communing with her familiar. While communing, the witch decides which spells to prepare.

It was just one person. Done on the Campaign info. Sorry, ran two game the last two days and it is a holiday weekend here.

brvheart |

I sent him a PM. If we do not hear back after the weekend we can recruit a replacement.

brvheart |

Guys, I am ready to get all the games back to full speed ahead. Who is ready to do that? I mean at least 4 days a week if not more.

Grenz |

NP Tork. If desired, we can for one time only speed to the city of Remballo but realize a lot of this campaign is wilderness adventuring with over 100 different encounters. So far you have had two! Not all of them as you have just seen are meant to be fought. If you can get the treasure without fighting them so much the better!
Understood brvheart, but... My question here is the fact that we seem to be jumping from one encounter to the other without much 'connecting tissue' - I am all for sandboxing, I actually enjoy it a lot and and can come up with multiple avenues of action for Grenz.
BUT we do need a setting, and background info to get us on the way, and know what fits where - maybe it would make sense for Grenz to become a buccaneer or the head of a thieve's guild, or maybe not. It all depends on the setting we are in - is it strongly magical? Are there any major events going on in the region? Ok, we met up with a giant - is that common? Can we roll any knowledge to understand if it makes sense, or maybe the giants aren't usually there and this deserves investigation or alerting the authorities?
I don't know, just throwing my two cents out there.

Also, this will become an adventure path soon but need to get the party up a level or two first and yes there will be sandbox in between just not all sandbox. Remballo is self contained and the next will be also. You want me to tell you why you are here without going through the roleplaying to the there. Well, this adventure is quite a bit of roleplaying and investigation.

brvheart |

Well, you have a room at an inn with a bar! Sorry this is a city adventure. A short one though.

Grenz |

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I wish a Happy New Year to all.
Holiday season wasn't as pleasant as I had expected with both my wife and youngest falling sick for the best part of it
I am getting back to it (again) during this week, and 'head on' during the next.
Thanks for the patience to all of you...

Oxnard |

Hey guys. I believe Oxnard is going to wander off in search of a more violent lifestyle. I appreciate the opportunity, but am just having trouble finding a groove with him
Good luck, and hope to game with you guys again in the future.

brvheart |

Sorry Oxnard, you have been bogged down on 1st level stuff and not progressing as well as I would have liked. The main adventure path follows this but requires the party to be of level 3.
The Cults of the Sundered Kingdoms Adventure Path is a series of adventures for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game that take a party of 4–6 adventurers from 3rd level to 12th level and above. It is a dangerous adventure path that pits the player characters against not only evil cultists but horrific aberrations, mutations, and demonic outsiders as well. It is recommended that a party be well-balanced with effective fighting skills, spellcasting, healing abilities, and skills in stealth and trap evasion. Players who try to bull rush their way through every situation will likely find themselves quickly outmatched and overwhelmed. Successful completion will require some investigation and diplomacy at times, with the application of force when necessary.
The first thing the group needs to learn is how to investigate as a party.

Is this rescue mission related to the main adventure?
If the main adventure starts at 3rd level I would absolutely prefer to start at 3rd rather than work our way through levels 1 and 2. I'm not really a big fan of low level play. For some builds those early levels are real drag to get through.

brvheart |

No, it is not. As this does not seem to be going well if you all wish we can advance the party to the beginning of level three. There is a lot more action in the adventure path although there still will be some investigating to get to where you need to go.
I leave it up to you. This adventure is more of a warm up to get the party used to playing with each other and the AP.

Question #1.... Do we continue as 1rst level characters or would you like to magically advance to 3rd level and begin the AP?
Tork 3rd level
Grenz?.?
Rhiannon??
Baal?
Question #2....our Tank and Arcanist have left. Do any of you want to change characters and take over those roles before we recruit replacements?

Baalîantar |

We're almost at level 2 already.
I don't mind working up to level 3, just to flesh him out a bit.
Baalîantar is arcane, but also a mobile fighter, in a pinch.
I was thinking of taking 2nd level as a fighter, to give him a bit more starch.
And an extra combat feat besides.
