Welcome to the discussion.

Here we will be posting anything that relates to the game but is not the game per say. That is, it is here that we will discuss character creation or any issues pertaining to the game. It is here that you can discuss with the other players.

So first, I want to thank you for participating to this game. Hopefully it will go well even though we all have to learn many things about DnD, play by post (pbp) or both. Also, I want to mention that I will be writing in english. The reasons are twofold:1) if I ever want to play in another PbP, I want to be able to give references and 2) some people playing might be more comfortable with English. However, you may choose to write either in French or English, Spanish would be a bit much for me.

So first thing to do in order to play is to create yourself an account.

Creating an account
1.Go to: http://paizo.com/paizo
2.On top, click on sign in.
3.Set your settings to avoid receiving mails from Paizo (unles you are interested in their products (like me).

Now, you should be able to write on this forum.

So, when we play DnD on a forum, one important element is formatting text. For our game we will be using 4 formats: The bold, the out of character comment (ooc), the spoiler and the dice. You can see how to make these formating simply go on the forum and finding the part that says : How to format your text.

Here is the short description of each formating.

Characters
Alright, now is the time to start thinking about your character. I want you to brainstorm on this forum. If you do not want other players to read your ideas, simply put them as a spoiler (so people, don't read other's spoilers!). For those who are making their first character. I simply want you to think who you would like to impersonate if you were in a medieval world in which wizards can do magic and priests can perform miracles. Would you rather be someone skilled with the sword, someone stealthy, someone who has great faith in a god? Or just think of your favorites fantastic movies or animes. Write down a general description and history for your character.

I and thx for the oportunity to try this out. Secondly my written English sucks, so be patient lol!

My past would be dark and mysterious, Born from a forbiden relationship my father abandoned me and my mother when I was 5. Because of that my mother taught me resentment and anger towards him and men in general. So anyone who is a male player will be receiving sarcastic remarks and angry comments from me. MOUAHAHAHA.

OK then! I'll be a dwarven war priest! Klepettar, son of Demettar king of the clan Thunderhammer, I chose the path of priesthood because of a dream sent to me from the mighty smith god. The dream told me that I would be the one to eradicate all orcs from the land...!

What does each of them mean to you? Laser swords? Stealth? Magic? or is it more than that?

Is the all orcs optional or can I change that vision a bit to better insert it into the story?

The "all orcs" was more for show than an actual goal... you can change it as u will...
For alignment probably on the good side, but then again, i'd go acordingly to the group.... if everyone is evil... mouhahaha i'd still be good! lol

Yes, all in time, I am waiting from everyone to give me their idea and discuss them. Once everyone is done with that, I will go to the next step. For now, it seems that one of Diana's sister lost her internet access. I am guessing that it will be back soon.

So, what would bring at level 2 king to sandpoint? Why would he leave his kingdom and retinues?

Wizzard: I just really like magic.

And lets not forget of course jedi I love the force. It's like some sort of telekinesis that I love.

So, assassin type who is also trying to detach herself from the world so as to avoid becoming evil (aren't assassin evil?) and who does magic. Sounds nice.

Assassins aren't necessarily evil. What about If I may, use as an example Batman, he is an assasin has killed evil doers just recently killed the joker because again the joker killed Robin lol. So does that make him evil?

I would say I just follow my own justice like the punisher. He is not evil he just hates ppl who are not just.

Ok then, sounds good to me. Now that this is settled, you need to select a class. I will make you suggestions as to what would be similar to a wizard, ninja, jedi (lets face it, nothing does this combination justice).

For the stealth and assassination type, there is the ninja and the rogue. Also, they can use some amount of magic (although it is quite low). So, at first you could start with something like a weak type of telekinesis.

If you want even more magic you could alternate between either rogue/ninja and sorcerer/wizard.

The difference between sorcerer and wizard is that the sorcerer knows magic innately, whereas the wizard studies it. The later is also more versatile.

Alright, I will give out the instructions to create a character. If anyone has any question, feel free to pm me (private message me).

Level:1

Ability scores
Roll ability scores using 4d6 drop the lowest. Distribute as you wish to strength, dexterity, constitution, intelligence, wisdom and charisma.

Traits
Pick two traits including one from the adventure path. This can be found in the player’s guide of the adventure path (see paizo’s store, it is free by the way). You may also take a flaw to gain a third trait.

Hit points
Maximum at first level, then average (you will need to keed track of fractions).

Saves and BAB
If multiclassing, keep track of the fractions of the Saves and BAB.

Additional notes
Average gold.
Try to avoid gunslingers, they don’t really fit.
All on www.d20pfsrd.com/ is accepted, but NO 3rd party.

Final step
Put all the information into an alias, here are the steps:
First, to have a character you have to create an Alias.

I will read the final characters on monday(14th of october) and we will start shorty after.
