.....
now what?
He makes sure that the entry is safe before entering and looking around in it.
wonder if they have any good comics. . . .
He glances around through the books and checks it out with detect magic and analyze dewomer on any of them he thought needed a look over.
maybe if they can scry me. How can I get to them. . . Oh right!
-------
Back in the ice room a sound issues from Dave's satchel.
"Hey. I just remembered you had this thing. Can anyone there scry me? We kinda got a situation."
Tybalt's voice speaks through the small microphone that Dave has.
Tybalt Baneko
"Doesn't look like anyone is here thus far. Might be better to be invisible because I still am. Just be very quite too. See if Skeets can do a telepathy link so we can talk. Just scry it for now and let Onei see if he can tell what's what."
-------
He checks around to make sure that no one is there and there aren't any bugs.

"Hmm? Yes, I am."
I'll get your post up in a moment, reed.

When you step inside, you are greeted with a gaping cave mouth. Inside, the stone is rust red, and feels like actual rust. A misstep, or a fall, and you cut yourself up. It smells like flesh, burned, charred. The landscape is twisted, and seems to bend. Often, as you walk towards someplace, you find it farther then it was before, or walk right past it. The entire realm is hot, and demon corpses are randomly all over the place. You hear settro through the sim.
"This is a moderately stable zone. By moderate, i mean you have a chance to find a more stable one before this one is lost to the chaos. Good luck."
Settro
"Ah, hello Gareth. I'm settro, half-demon, at your service."
everything is normal for him execpt his tail right now, witch instead of being sinuous, is scorpion-like. Left arm is covered in scales, right red skinned with small claws, right eye green, left eye red, large crow wings, talons in place of toes, small fangs, and a constant compulsion that makes his form much more pleasing to look at then it really is.
Settro
"I'm just here to make sure the cat's alright. She's fine, my sim just beat her up."
Karish Conway
Vare does seem to pause as Karish completes her introduction, as if considering carefully. Again, his eyes never do seem to fix properly on the woman seated nearby to him. After a few moments, he seems to nod as if having sorted through something or realized something. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance." he looks about the room silently, noting Karish's observation about the emptiness of their room. "Yes, I believe many people are relaxing due to the lack of classes today. I myself am attempting to catch up on the memorization of my spells today. I had a busy morning."
Vare's inconsistent gaze returns to her compatriot. "Are... you a priest then, Miss Conway?" he asks pleasantly, attempting awkwardly to make small talk with the unfamiliar woman.
Her first thought is that he seems heavily uncomfortable with the discussion, mundane as it might be. Obviously he's heavily distracted, and while Karish can't sense anything or anyone else in the immediate vicinity - even with the Harbinger's accelerated soul-sense - he was very clearly in the midst of another conversation when she arrived. There might be something beyond her sense's reach, obscured in someway, or his discussion partner might simply be inside his own head.
The kind thing to do would be to leave him be, as he was clearly eager to resume where he'd left off when she arrived. Still, he'd inquired, and it'd be no less rude not to respond. "Of a sort," she replied, tapping a clawed finger on the apple stem in thought as she spoke. "The term I've heard used occasionally is oracle or sibyl, though I imagine it's somewhat inaccurate in the general sense of the words. Divine magic comes to me without my input or request rather than due to any sort of devotion or practice on my part." She considered adding that she was a divine knight by choice rather than by fate, as well, but discarded the idea, seeing no need to dwell on it; she had little interest in proselytizing at the school. She also considered correcting the "miss" to "missus", but again belayed the suggestion as pointless at the time being. No sense in being unnecessarily pedantic.

"It's kind of a 'trying to find a specific thing you don't really know what it looks like in a room full of things it could look like.' Situation. . . ."
-------
He looks around through the library trying to gauge it's size. Appearing at the top of the room to see all the way to the ends.
just to be clear, the microphone is through the lace. He isn't actually making noise to talk. :)
Asch Redgrave
Asch calmly walks out of the shadows along the wall of the burnt out tailors shop. "Hmm someone really should tell people that its never a good idea to play with fire...whilst summoning demons." He quips without even say hi first. "My guess his heart was used for a sacrifice the fire was to cover up someone's tracks."
Tyrrin Denulia
Tyrrin puts her hand into the bag at her side and concentrates for a moment, and the withdraws a scroll, and more importantly, a mirrored piece of glass. She unfurls the scroll, and casts the Scry spell on Tybalt.
Assuming Tybalt does not resist the effects of the Scrying spell.
Tyrrin takes a long moment to examine the area which Tybalt has found himself, ensuring she had all the details and that the teleport would not fail - such would be a waste of magical energy. Once she's certain, she calls to her allies. "Mr. De'Foul, Oneiro, Ghalen, Mr. Darkclaw. Would you please each place a hand on me, and I will teleport us to Tybalt. Cast anything spells you think wise now, before I do so."
Repp, the Bleached
melody smiles as Repp enters the lounge. then looks to Ginni,
her look toGinni is one of see another that does not believe such rumors
Repp, thanks again for getting Miss Jones, I am sorry about not wanting you to stay, perhaps someday I can repay you for your help
Melody moves away a little, to give Repp and Ginni some space.
and noticing Igni doing his own thing and Roel seemingly indifferent once more. she just sighs and starts to quietly pluck away at her guitar like she is practicing but no real tune comes out. her mind wandering on other things.
"Oh, do not dwell on it Melody. I was happy to help, and happy to leave you to your privacy. The mind is a sacred thing and should not be intruded upon unwillingly. I am simply happy I was able to help." he says genially, waving away any remaining guilt that Melody may have had about their meeting this morning.
Ehos Denulia
Asch calmly walks out of the shadows along the wall of the burnt out tailors shop. "Hmm someone really should tell people that its never a good idea to play with fire...whilst summoning demons." He quips without even say hi first. "My guess his heart was used for a sacrifice the fire was to cover up someone's tracks."
Ehos looks oddly at the newcomer, speaking so casually about the death of this man here. A man who, by Ehos' recollection, had been happily alive the previous day, eager to sell clothing, and perhaps a bit pushy... but nonetheless a living being.
Ehos is an elf of middling height, with blonde tousled hair and blue eyes. He is quite handsome by any standards, his face just a touch rounder than a typical elf's, making him look a touch more human. The ears are of course a dead giveaway. The strangest thing about Ehos though: he does not make a sound. Not even a miniscule rustle of clothing, or a soft footstep. He is utterly silent.
Settro
"Indeed she is. I'm surprised she lasted as long as she did."
Damiani
Bah, you lazy RPers. :) Having me go back and dig up other people's posts versus what you say IC. Tsk tsk!
The corpse of the man, fully fleshed out and appearing to be just a 'zombie' body of sorts, stirs when Ace's voice speaks, the jaw moving and animating by the power of divine necromancy.
Ace's first question, from Ehos' datapad, is a simple one, "Tell me if your daughter, Kara, is safe from the fires."
The corpse seems to smile wryly again, and then it speaks, briefly, "No daughter, Kara." Ace would realize that whatever this man was previously in life, his response being brief, may suggest that their natures were not in sync, thus, the responses may very well be ...less than stellar.
Ace's second question, which he inquires on Phaezeriel's behalf, is, "Speak of your chest wound, what caused it?"
The slight smile again, twisted lips, yet nothing else moves, and the voice of the corpse comes out again, "/She/ .. it. My death."
Being lifeless, literally, the figure continues to lay there on the ground where it was found, among the sea water filled husk of a shop, the tattered remains of once colorful and tactile cloths and clothing, ash and burnt walls lingering about. Thankfully-- only the stink of burnt inanimate things, (not itself), prevail here.
I'm assuming that it speaks and all can hear, and since Ace is asking, you're able to hear what he said-- taking liberties on how Ace would ask them, but... works out, regardless.

Midori nods almost imperceptibly to Ryuzo-sama, maintaining her composure."I see. I should hope that Midori has had has the good grace to behave and follow the rules during her time here. Midori, you understand that while you are at the school you are to treat Blackscales-sama as you would with your most respected person." Her parents seem very severe about this particular topic. Respect and proper treatment of superiors is very important to them, as is discipline.
"Hai, Otousama!" Midori responds formally.
Kosuke, Midori's brother, appears to be slightly uncomfortable here, but is holding his tongue, standing stiffly.
"Oh, I think Midori understands that. And she is quick to take responsibility for it when she makes a mistake. All children makes mistakes from time to time."
"But I am being remiss in my manners here. There are tea and cookies on the table there. Please help yourselves. There is no reason we can't be comfortable while we talk."
"Are there any questions that you have for me? Any concerns that I can address while you're here? I want you to have peace of mind knowing that Midori is well cared for here."
Ehos Denulia
At the responses to the questions, Ehos' heart tightens, his face darkens slightly. He gets Ace's attention again and then offers once again with the datapad. 'No daughter?! Ask him who the girl who tended this shop was!' he says, looking a little panicked. What the hell was going on here?
Vare, the Summoner
The kind thing to do would be to leave him be, as he was clearly eager to resume where he'd left off when she arrived. Still, he'd inquired, and it'd be no less rude not to respond. "Of a sort," she replied, tapping a clawed finger on the apple stem in thought as she spoke. "The term I've heard used occasionally is oracle or sibyl, though I imagine it's somewhat inaccurate in the general sense of the words. Divine magic comes to me without my input or request rather than due to any sort of devotion or practice on my part." She considered adding that she was a divine knight by choice rather than by fate, as well, but discarded the idea, seeing no need to dwell on...
If Karish is of the perceptive variety, she will likely notice that, very occasionally, Vare's clothing or hair seems to wrinkle or shift without cause. There is no wind in this room after all, and her Soulsense ought to pick up an invisible creature if it were doing so. It is... quite strange, to say the least.
The man himself does not seem to notice though, and while Karish speaks of her profession, he nods along, the gears in his head visible turning. He is most definitely thoughtful, and despite his young appearance he has a certain gravitas. "I believe I understand... you'll have to forgive me though, my knowlege of Divine Magics is limited at best - it is not my field of study. It sounds very similar to the way a sorcerer comes into his arcane magic." he says, obviously trying to find comfort by relating to a well-known topic. "I am also new the school, and so I am glad to have found another Professor in a similar position as me. I am sorry if I was... short, before. My evening last night did not end in a very good way, and this morning I have been paying for my lack of diligence."
Jen the Cat
He looks at his bandages and frowns.
"I'm not sure. I was casting a spell, then Iwoe up here. They say I almost died."
"I was disemboweled by two Balors. But really, the two situations are not so different. After all, yours was actually more deadly."
"What spell were you trying to cast?"
Settro
"Yeah. Don't try that again. You'll scare everyone half to death. And this Is coming from me."
Jaiye
The arm was well received, even though Anahita was clearly unclear on the receiving end of it, suggesting she'd seen some of these gestures done elsewhere, but never received it or knowing how to react properly, yet."The .. Headmaster, Ryo. We were in the forest, far from the school. Why? Why would he spy on us? We were doing nothing unnatural. I am of age to breed, though ... I have never, never experienced it. Why would he not include me in the conversation?!?" A mixture of anger with a touch of sobbing mixed in.
Glaring off between a few more sniffles and such, she was quickly collecting herself once more, she adds, "I am .. capable of killing, of making choices. I am, by all accounts, an adult in my lands of birth, and more... why? Why this violation and mistreatment? Is .. is this place a place of punishment and control? I .. I have seen cities that are this structured. So law bound, they cannot even wipe their own behinds without the proper paperwork in triplicate... the third for the actual wiping."
It might have been a joke, if she weren't in a non-joking moment.
Jaiye took a deep breath. She still didn't quite understand what happened, but she was starting to get a better idea.
"Ana...look, by the laws of my people I've been considered an adult for three years now. But that doesn't mean that they're right or that I was actually ready to be making those adult decisions with the consequences that come with them. I haven't always been the Headmaster's biggest fan, but....look, I know a fair amount about how the wards work cause last year I was part of a group that tried to circumvent them and take over the school. Not my finest moment. They don't watch us all the time. Things with that plot wouldn't have gotten as far as they did if they had. There are certain events that can trigger and alarm. If the headmaster was talking to the other person and not you then...well, Ana, I think you were the person in the equation who was considered unable to give informed consent. Had you been drinking? If you were drunk then that would explain it. Or if your partner were much older than you...ummm....were you....with a teacher?"She pushed up the sleeves of Ana's robes and examined her wrists and then did the same to look at her ankles. "Oh my gods! Ana! Are you out of your mind? You weren't even using a birth control charm! Do you really consider yourself so adult that you're ready to have a baby already? Cause those are some pretty big adult size consequences....do you even know if the guy you were with would stick around to help you? Or was he just after a quick screw and so long thanks for the memories? You have to think these things through! You definitely can't just count on the guy to be responsible."
Melody Waverider
ooc I know you are in the room, but IC I don't, I figure if anybody would have nearly free access to Mel's surface thoughts would be you.
If Kai decides to listen to what is going through Mel's mind, as she does not normally practice in such horrible tune. she is upset over these rumors about Ginni and wishes to know who started them. the thought of public humiliation as revenge has crossed her mind
GM Fireclaw
"Oh, I think Midori understands that. And she is quick to take responsibility for it when she makes a mistake. All children makes mistakes from time to time."
"But I am being remiss in my manners here. There are tea and cookies on the table there. Please help yourselves. There is no reason we can't be comfortable while we talk."
"Are there any questions that you have for me? Any concerns that I can address while you're here? I want you to have peace of mind knowing that Midori is well cared for here."
There is a gleam of pride in the eyes of both parents as they look to Midori when Ephebe praises her sense of responsibility. Yuki bows deeply at the offer of tea and food. Her voice is soft and melodious, very similar to that of Midori's. It has a cadence to it. "Thank you kindly for your hospitality for both us and our daughter. We are in your debt."
With that, the family takes seats around the desk - oddly, Midori picks a seat near to Ryuzo. Both Koizumi and Yuki take tea, and only have one cookie each, most likely merely observing good manners by not refusing Ephebe's gifts.
Again, Midori's mother is the one to answer Ephebe this time around. "Ah.. there is something that we would like to bring up, if it is not too much trouble, Blackscales-sama. We noticed that one of Midori's classmates.. Ah.. Hew, I believe his name was? I believe he has a crush on Midori, but we have refrained thus far from teaching her of those realities. It may be unavoidable, especially if she is going to spend a long time here."
Midori's composure finally breaks, looking slightly horrified at how brazenly her mother had laid bare both Hew's feelings, and exactly how ill-informed she was about this stuff.
Mithros Phoebus
Mithros Phoebus wrote:"Yes ma'am. Alright, err I'll wait.""Please, call me Vai. What's your name? I haven't met any of you guys, even if James mentions you sometimes." Ah, there's the 'James' that Jiminy complains about. Vai stands easily, looking up at the cockpit from her position on the street. The wind picks up for a moment and blows her hair around a bit, but she quickly fixes it, tucking her bangs behind her ear.
"Uhh...we use call signs over the radio. I don't think I'm supposed to say who I am..."
Settro
"I suppose. Maybe you should have someone watch you first."
Ori Reading
Ori Reading wrote:"Yeah," she said breathily. "Uh...so....flowers....I'm pretty sure that I was ordered to look at them," she said, looking away and blushing.
"True. I had almost forgot myself, but I have been enjoying the sight of a beautiful flower already." Slowly he stands and offers her a hand up.
After he takes both there trays and deposits them as they make there what to the garden.
It took a few minutes for the blushing to subside as they walked. She shyly took his hand.
"So..umm....do you know anything about botany? I should considering, but I'm afraid I haven't studied it as much as I ought."
Karish Conway
If Karish is of the perceptive variety, she will likely notice that, very occasionally, Vare's clothing or hair seems to wrinkle or shift without cause. My evening last night did not end in a very good way, and this morning I have been paying for my lack of diligence."
"Quite alright," she replies, a note of sympathy in her voice despite the rasping nature of her speech. She'd had a few nights like that.
"I've known a few sorcerers, in passing, and I'd say the comparison is apt. Simply that the source of the magic is from an external presence rather than internal, and divine in nature rather than arcane, but otherwise yes I imagine the end result is otherwise very similar." She scratches behind one ear with her free hand. "My experience with the arcane is likewise rather limited. I was given some extent of my training by a Theurge back home, but I didn't inquire as much on the arcane portion of his skill. I know a little on an academic level, but practically, not much."
She pauses a moment, then takes another bite of the apple, wondering if the flickering and shifting of his clothing has any similarity in cause to the erratic and unpredictable spirits that seemed to have followed her around unseen for the past several years.

Lang interjects Grim, that will not be necessary. I have caused enough suffering today there cannot be anymore!
Lang turns to grim You see Grim, I have not mastered the ability to control that power I possess it can only manifest in dire situations such as my own life in danger or the life of those I care deeply about such as you and Ignace. It is unfortunate the result is what it was I only wish I was not so destructive. It would have been better to threaten me than Ignace and maybe that man would still be alive.
lang turns to the other priests and bows I am sorry things turned out the way they did I only wish death was not necessary. perhaps he can be rivived magically I am unsure if my companion has mastered that ability. but there are some back on Agartha that do.
"Agartha?....you are....from....Agartha?....so....wasn't just....a story....the other.....worlds still....live...'sgood.....this is....Haven......too far.....knew risks....."
The priest was clearly having trouble speaking through the pain.
"Door....back to....your world....only open.....short time....need to go.....quickly."
Anahita bint Tariq
Jaiye took a deep breath. She still didn't quite understand what happened, but she was starting to get a better idea.
"Ana...look, by the laws of my people I've been considered an adult for three years now. But that doesn't mean that they're right or that I was actually ready to be making those adult decisions with the consequences that come with them. I haven't always been the Headmaster's biggest fan, but....look, I know a fair amount about how the wards work cause last year I was part of a group that tried to circumvent them and take over the school.
Anahita's outfit, not quite robes, is easy enough to shift around and she does little to stop Jaiye's examination of her, however-- she takes extreme steps to avoid touching or letting the gold and silver chain on her left wrist be touched. This would be fairly obvious, and with concern in the actions on Anahita's part.
After the examination and then subsequent comment, Anahita says, "Of course I was prepared to have a child-- that's the whole point of coupling. I knew this. Whether or not the male decides to stay around isn't relevant, as a human, it is my duty as the mother to care for the off spring." Well, there you go, she apparently thought that much ahead of herself.
"As for ... birth control charm? Wh-- why would anyone want to stop what is natural? That is .. wrong." And, here we go, possible theology or something else going on, clearly, whatever rules Anahita lives by, they probably don't match Jaiye's, or the 'modern' civilization's of Agartha. "I am well aware of what would happen-- I have seen the circle of life repeated time and time again. If I did not wish to carry a child, I would not choose to sleep with a male. Besides, I felt a longing for him, more than any other I've met. I know I was caught up in the moment-- we were even discussing /what/ we needed to do to continue, lacking the personal experience, even though I knew what was natural." She sounds a little flustered at the memory.
Then she flares a bit with anger, "I do not care who or what I was with-- that invasion of my privacy and our intimate moment is what I rail against. Do you know what choices I am capable of making? I'm certain he doesn't care one lick about my feelings or thoughts, merely imposing his laws or rules without speaking with /me/. This is an insult! Is this Headmaster so ... above and lording over this -- I wasn't even IN the school! We were both far enough away, experiencing life, and now-- I'm experiencing /this/. Is this the plan? The intention? Not even an apology or an attempt to -- why, I bet you he's watching right now." She peers around, expecting to see something.
"How will I ever respect that place, or the efforts, if there is no respect shown /me/? Such as you are doing now? Treating me as another living being, willing to educate and share of life's experience? No, but no.. just .. silence and a dismissal, not even worthy enough to give apology for the interruption, or stoop to speak with."
She fumes for a bit, sitting there-- clearly the 'violation' as she puts it, the first and foremost offense in her mind.
"To walk back into that school is to accept the continued ... scrutiny, when I have walked and roamed the lands alone, since my sixth year of life. I feel so very insulted. Where I come from, I am a force of nature, someone that is respected by followers of the Old Ways, not some ... petty child who is ignorant of her choices and unable to discuss things."
Well, she does seem to believe what she says, but, ultimately, it does boil down to who's rules are being imposed, versus personal opinions, all in all, her point is that. Anahita sits there fuming.
"Vare isn't much older than me, he is a conjurer-- unless he is the sort to simply, well, he could just dismiss and move on, but ... I have full control of my body, if I /chose/ not to have a child, it would not happen. Especially if it were not safe to do so." She seems a bit calmer, but so moody.
Sighing and shaking her head she says then, "These .. words, so many words, so .. complicated and structured. Why wouldn't he speak with me as well? Why wait until that .. precise moment?!" Maybe it was just the rude shock of it, maybe as she said earlier too, mistreatment.
Life is complicated, that's for certain. For Anahita coming into such immediate civilized of a setting, the learning speed imposed on her has been rather ...steep.
Ginni
You did just fine Ginni, its not how good you play, but that you enjoy the music you create. I know I am far from great. but I love the songs I write and even if nody else likes them, they have meaning to me becuase I wrote them from my hearts.Melody looks around I think that is enough for today. and Ginni, again I am sorry about touching your guitar I should have asked. If you want, Roel brought a bunch of sandwitches to the Sim room if you want we can head over there and we can talk more.
"It's okay, Melody. I know you weren't trying to upset me. I'm...a little overly sensitive about that."
