"Yep. I try and catch myself before it gets that far, but if it does, i often go into a flat out fury."
he sighs, a look of longing passing his face.
"Such is my life."

"If you please, My Lady." he does not read hers however, unless she bids him to.
Jeran Darkclaw
Jeran closes his book. "Mine is detailed enough to be creepy, certainly unflattering, but essentially accurate. Unless it changes when it's viewed by someone else. You are welcome to look at it to test that theory."
"May I see Oneiro's book? I might be able to tell if it's similar to the sort of taunting that he experienced the last time I went on one of these missions with him."
Ginni
"Please, continue. I enjoy listening to other people talk. I find it soothing to hear of other beings. For a very long time, I was no one but myself, and so to speak with others on such even terms, not having to defend myself or be afraid... it is quite liberating. So please, say what you will. I will not tire of it." he says seriously, leaning forward from his relaxed reclining to look Ginni in the eyes - his red eyes once again quite disturbing against the white of his skin. "Please."

"Well...he's also very competitive. That's actually how we met. He challenged the guy my friend was dating to a duel. It was close, but he did win in the end. It was a very exciting duel to watch. that's one of the fun things about the sim rooms. Things like that can happen without anyone getting seriously injured."
Ginni
Tamina wrote:Dom shakes his head as if to brush the thought away. "Perhaps i will get it after awhile but for now I think I will just make sure Ginni is fine and fine a way to prove she is like everyone else." He tells her as they follow the arrows.
"Oh, rumors don't have to make sense. Gossip grows and twists as it gets passed along. What starts as a small whisper of fear can turn into a menacing threat by the time it crosses a single crowded room."
The arrows led them to a student lounge a little bit away from the lunchroom. Inside Ginni was having a conversation with an albino gnome.
Did Igni stay or did he leave when Melody did?
"Tami! Oh. You heard huh?"
Jaiye
"Well, he is not on the school grounds. What other options are there? Perhaps someone here might have an idea where he went?"Anahita peers around, then idly touches the wall briefly, considering Vare, and seeing arrows lead off, she then wills the arrows to stop their divination.
"It is a shame that there isn't a simpler way to conduct conversations, given all the magical powers in place here, versus these arrows."
Her ears drooped again when they couldn't find Ehos on school grounds.
"I guess I'll just have to wait until he comes back. I hate this not knowing what's going on."
"Well...I guess you can go talk to Vare anyways....do you want me to tag along or would you rather have this conversation on your own? I'm okay either way. I'll just go hang out in the library if you want to talk to him on your own. I don't really know what else to do."
Ori Reading
He nods to her to tell her he agrees. After walking a distance away that was out of view of the boy he tells her. "You can let go. I apologize for my behavior. I had hoped I would never have to see another demon, but it seems I will."
"And this is a problem for you."
"What can I do to help?"
Anahita bint Tariq

"If you are willing to wait a moment or two? I shall prepare a means for you to ..well, for Ehos to know of your desire to speak with him, immediately. Acceptable?"
She smiles and waits for Jaiye's response.
Damiani
Ace nods his agreement "Do you know the nature of she who killed you?"
The corpse doesn't quite shake his head, that's not part of the spell, but when the lips move again, Ace is certain that while cryptic and evasive in it's response, it's speaking truth, no attempt to bluff here.
"I did not nor do not, nor did I see it happen. I merely felt it."
Then it falls quiet again. Like a corpse. That speaks.

Seeing Ginni in a kind of exhausted voice. "Well at first not so much, but people staring at you for no reason tends to raise a few questions. So I asked them. I didn't quiet get a full response though. So are you doing ok?"

Jaiye nods. "Yeah I can wait. It's not like I have somewhere to be in a hurry after all. Thanks. Again."
There is a nod and a quick hug, and Anahita says, "I shall return immediately-- you must think of twenty five words or less to express to Ehos, which I will send for you. Returning briefly, I assure you."
Anahita literally vanishes for ..well, three to six seconds, and then reappears. She appears to be completely the same, just the disappearing act, without sound or indication of doing so.
Upon returning, she smiles and asks, "Well? I am ready to cast this. He will hear it, though I do not expect him to reply, due to his silence issues."
There's a warm smile on Anahita's face when she finishes, glancing off briefly to where the arrows had pointed before at Vare, then back to Jaiye.

"And this is a problem for you.""What can I do to help?"
Shaking his head. "I'm not sure how you can. I mean it just I have seen all the evil those creatures have caused where I came from. So many lives lost to the hoards of demons that plagued my home. I can just become indifferent to them. If I did it would be like spitting on the graves of all those who have died by there evil acts."
He turns away from Ori. "After I left my order I joined a army of demon hunters that protected my world from demons that invaded. There I saw more death than I ever had before. The fort I was stationed at fell to an army of demons. Everyone I knew there died in three days of the battle. I was the only survivor of the battle." He voice trails off as he remembers the last words of those he fought beside.

"I think it's just playing mind games with us. I'll keep the books in this bag of holding and we can move on trying to find the right one. Heh. Maybe they'll keep going and I won't have to write my own autobiography. Lots of extra space so our stories must go on."
He reasons. You don't make a book with many pages that endson the first one.
He looks around and checks the other books to see if they were like these for other people.
Professor Mara
"I am Vare. I bear no titles other than the Professor title which this school has bestowed upon me." he says... but again, he does not look at Mara's face while speaking... if Mara is seating on a chair, Vare instead seems to be focusing his attentions nearer to the seat of the chair... though his eyes do not seem to select a single place to rest."My speciality is Conjuration, Planar magicks and languages. What?" Vare suddenly turns away, facing the corner and speaking to the air. "Yes I know it's adorable..." There's a pause as he seems to be listening to... something. Someone? "Listen, the other Professors are going to think I am out of my mind. No.. I'm sorry. We'll talk soon, alright? Don't pout. I asked you earlier if you wanted to be Out."
Vare turns back to the conversation with his two colleagues. "Pardon me." he says, but offers no further explanation.
"I...see. Well, it seems that I have found the summoning instructor," he says, nonchalantly, as if he was not actively searching for him. "Please, sit down. There is an important matter to discuss."
Professor Mara clasps his hands together like a trained psychologist and leans forward. "I believe that one of your students is suffering from a characteristic form of manic depression. I have observed the classic symptoms: intermittent periods of low activity, punctuated by short periods of decreased inhibition and elevated magnitudes of emotion. This morning, the student showed great disrespect to myself and a fellow professor...As a psychologist, I do not ascribe this to a personality flaw, but rather only a symptom. This blurring of lines between students and authority figures is also a common part of this disease. Sometimes, the sufferer does not really understand each person's place in society."
Mara regards the potentially-psychotic Vare as confirmation of his diagnosis. "Of course, with such a close student-teacher relationship and your expertise with summoning, you would have already noticed that the student is clearly possessed." Mara sits back in his chair.
Tyrrin Denulia
Gathers up Tyrrin's and his books. He hands his to Tyrrin.
"If you please, My Lady." he does not read hers however, unless she bids him to.
Tyrrin raises an eyebrow to her lover, handing Oneiro's book to Jeran for the lycan's examination. "And you as well, Ghalen." she says soberly, motioning to her own book, 'Starkin', in his hand.
Curious now, Tyrrin opens Ghalen's book, and reads it intently.
Karish Conway
"Well then, I would very much like to both learn from you, and if you'd like, I could teach you a little of my knowledge of the Arcane arts. After all, simply because we are teachers does not mean that we are to stop learning. At least, such is my hope." he says, growing more and more comfortable with each passing moment, seeming to relish in the joy of learning - at least in that manner his youth shows through. Eager, apparently, to devour all the knowledge he can. What he does not do though - and should be noted - is ask after Karish's home in any way, despite her mentioning of it. Perhaps he is the kind of man who does not care where people are from... or perhaps he simply thinks it is too personal a subject for their first meeting. "What is your impression of the Headmaster, Miss Conway?" he says 'miss' again, having not been corrected the first time he used it.
She relaxes as his unease gives way to eager curiosity, and gives a comfortable nod. "I agree wholeheartedly on the learning point. I've heard it said that one learns as much if not more by teaching than simply by being a student... I figured what better way to prove it than accepting the school's invitation?" She manages a small smile, though she's deliberately careful not to show too many teeth. There's quite a difference, with a being of her appearance, between a simple smile and a fang-bearing grin when your mouth is full of sharp, black needle-like teeth. "I'd be happy to share what I have and accept some of your knowledge as well, whenever you've time and inclination to spare."
She takes another bite while contemplating his second question, visibly in thought before responding. "Ah, it's 'missus', actually. And I've only had a couple of encounters with him. He seems dedicated, but ... overworked, perhaps? He seemed distracted by something in the most recent meeting I had with him, I met another new teacher - a swordsman, Miklos - wandering about the campus seemingly lost and escorted him to the headmaster's office. I haven't seen him since, though. But yes, my first impression of Master Ryo was 'busy and somewhat distracted'. Perhaps he is in need of an assistant or scribe of some sort to alleviate some of his workload." She shrugs, and catches the apple again when it once more slips from her grip, despite her hold on it being strong enough for her claws to leave gashes in its skin when it pulls free. "He seems dedicated to his work, though, and has quite some level of knowledge on the workings of the school, though that I suppose is to be expected."
[Slight fast-forward to after Mara's entered]

Karish's black-sclera'ed eyes widen slightly, and she glances between the rakshasa and the summoner with a curious expression. She had a ... quite regular first-hand experience with possession, after all, though she wouldn't have considered it "being possessed" in the typical sense of the word, it was close enough for the layman to easily be mistaken. She couldn't be sure which qualification the rakshasa fell under, though - she was aware they were usually well-trained in magic, even lore as esoteric as her own. For the time being, she simply leaned forward slightly to ask the most pressing question. "Which student, in particular?"

Nailed it! :D
Repp had been about to answer Ginni when another pair made an appearance at the door, seemingly concerned for the young half-demon. Repp was a little dissapointed that Ginni did not yet trust him, but that was the nature of things - after all, would he give his trust so easily to others? In the end, no. And so he had to respect Ginni's choice. "Good morning, fellow students." the albino gnome who had been speaking with Ginni says brightly to Dom and Tamina as they enter. "I trust you are doing well, other than the unfortunate rumours which plague our friend Ginni."
Reed Plainsong
When you step inside, you are greeted with a gaping cave mouth. Inside, the stone is rust red, and feels like actual rust. A misstep, or a fall, and you cut yourself up. It smells like flesh, burned, charred. The landscape is twisted, and seems to bend. Often, as you walk towards someplace, you find it farther then it was before, or walk right past it. The entire realm is hot, and demon corpses are randomly all over the place. You hear settro through the sim.
"This is a moderately stable zone. By moderate, i mean you have a chance to find a more stable one before this one is lost to the chaos. Good luck."
Reed uses his druidic powers to cause a small stone to glow with light and to make the temperature bearable.

*snip*
As Professor Mara is talking, he notices that Professor Vare is lost in thought and isn't really hearing the words that he's saying.
"I cannot, for the life of me, remember." He taps at his parcel and holds the parcel so that it touches Karish's hand. "What was the student's name, the one that I told you to scry on?"
The telepathic answer from the parcel jolts out on contact to Professor Mara and Karish. You told me to scry on 'The Kid that attacked me today.' Target could not be acquired.
"It appears that I'm getting too old for this job already. I have trouble remembering the names of all these kids in the common tongue. All their names sound the same and they look the same too. If only the school would let me put a memory charm on each of them that could play back their identification on command."
It's more that he doesn't really respect the kids and doesn't bother learning their names, but he never admits that.
Vare, the Summoner
Vare had considered his fellow Professor's words carefully, apparently lost in thought after the initial description of the symptoms... could it be possible that he was talking about Anahita? She surely wouldn't have... disrespected? She had been upset enough last night.
Vare suddenly stands, seeming to want to take decisive action. "This student... was she of darker skin, with long dark hair?" Vare asked, clearly having trouble with the description and giving a vague generalization. He had seen the world through her eyes... but he had never actually seen her... only her dreamscape projections. He hoped what he said had been accurate.
Professor Mara
"She? That is the pronoun for a humanoid of the female gender, correct? I am not entirely sure that the student was female, though I must admit, I don't have much experience in the subject. The student was wearing concealing robes, and I believe that it is not in humanoid customs to feel for the presence of secondary sexual characteristics." He feels quite proud for knowing that.
"However, the student does have a darker complexion that most and rather long black hair."
Settro
he smiles.
"I'm taking meditation to help prevent them, but if you could find a way to stop them entirely, that would be great."
Settro

Vare looks increasingly worried, glancing back at the corner of the room had been speaking to earlier.. Was Anahita lashing out at staff members in anger? It didn't sound like her.. but... when she was moved to passion...
Then, to the corner, he says aloud: "I'm going to go find her. She didn't sound angry when I contacted her earlier.. but... still."
He returns his gaze to his colleagues, looking through them rather than at them. "And you said she disrespected you? I'm going to look for her. She... did not have a pleasant evening last night. Perhaps I can council her. If she will listen to me. Excuse me." with that, Vare departs in a hurry, taking his patchwork spellbook with him. He had already tried the arrows this morning, when Rena was Out... but now he was without her, the arrows wouldn't be of much use to him.
Vare instead casts a spell he had prepared in case the Sending had failed.
Vare will cast a Locate Creature spell, and attempt to follow it to Anahita. It may take some time though, so I'll leave to Anahita where/when she wants to be found. Also... if at any point Anahita polymorphs (as it requires a mental image of her) or has protections such as Nondetection or Mislead, it will fail.
