Skeets reports this to the group as he and Dave empathetically remove the pain by spreading it out between the three of them casting it as many times as nessairy to get through that SR, most of it going to skeets who can ignore pain as a construct, but still a lot going to dave as they try to remove as much of the pain as possible, Dave activates his healing aura, and everyone around him feel more relaxed fast heal 3 when below 50% to all allies within 30 ft

When Ghalen leaves, he comments "Well, that was interesting. He seems to rather like you."

Lyn, what are Ginni's classes?

Tyrrin sighs. "I was under the impression he hated me. I don't understand men sometimes. Perhaps-" Once again Tyrrin is cut short by the ringing of the bell signaling that there was 5 minutes until the first class. "Well, in any event it seems we are out of time." She picks up her tray and moves to bus it. If Ace tags along: "I'm no expert on demon physiology, Casil, but I know the library better than most. If you find any promising leads in your search for Ginni, please let me know and I will do what I can to assist you." And then the pair are off to class. Tyrrin's first class is Advanced Illusions.

There we are, that wraps everything else up nicely, and puts Tyrrin is class with both Raelle and Rahz when the crap goes down.

Alarms start blaring in Aananda's lab.

"Ardiente....hold that thought. I'm sorry...it's...."

She hit a button on her headband. "Ryo, I've got a code magenta registering in the basic arcana classroom.....make that a code magenta AND a code cerulean. Is containment already on the way there? I can be there in two minutes, but I'm....kind of in the middle of a situation here..."

Ardiente anger defuses once again... in a somewhat worrying fashion as the youth swings dangerously from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other. He half-sits half-falls (plop) down on the floor again, hard, the rage apparently the only thing keeping his legs working. It almost doesn't even register what Aananda was trying to say about Chan. Ardiente didn't really care anyway, as long as the man who had besmirched his family so was dead. Desperation, and despair tighten their grip on him. Seeking comfort, Ardiente melts the floor beneath him, only a few inches deep, and sinks in the lava. The heat was warm and comforting, like a nice hot bath for a human.

"I... I need more than ever that this conversation doesn't leave the room, Aananda. Please." All the formality is gone from his voice. He sounds a bit hollow, as if he still really believe what he was saying. "My family's honour is at stake."

A bit of a strange juxtaposition, this young man who only so recently spoke the talent of one stripped from the records, is now speaking of preserving his family's honour. What exactly did he believe, anyway?

Lang, body still sitting, unmoving in his chair in the class his eyes glazed over sweating. his breathing slowed a state of complete meditation

in the spirit world....

Sitting by a tree knees pulled up Lang's spirit sits Sun, help he barely says starting to realize Sun cannot hear him.

After a few moments by himself a figure appears before him dressed in a variation of old style robes with patterns resembling flames.

Lang the spirit says.

Lang looks up. who are you? I've seen your face once but ony a flash in my mind. DDo I know you?

Get up Lang. I am here to guide you home

Where is Sun? he was here. where am I Lang asks

in an instant the spirit vanishes then reappears a short distance away
the spirit becons Lang to follow.

Sun leaves the office convinced he only wants to question him and again follows the arrows to Lang's classroom and there he sees Lang sitting blankly at he front, the others nearly oblivious to there being anything wrong.

Sun knocks on the door hopeing to get the teacher's attention.

Fei, feel free to respond/retcon with Vai. She could probably use his advice on the whole Taron matter anyway. Brothers are so frustrating sometimes ;)

Vai is listening quietly to Salis' lecture, taking notes and being a generally attentive and good student. She had chosen a seat next to Ginni, the only person with whom she was at all acquainted in the class, even if they had only spoken occasionally by way of Raelle or Sadie.

When the pulse goes through the school, Vai can feel even the magic on her symbol get temporarily repressed. However, Nimceleb's eyes go dark and he slides off of Vai's shoulder and hits the floor with a loud metal 'CLANK'. Slightly panicked, Vai bends down and scoops the construct up off the ground, about to be very upset when the eyes on her friend light back up, and he nuzzles her worried hand. Phew. He's okay.

You said it was relevant that Ginni was in Magical Theory Lyn, so leaving this open for whatever you want to happen ;)

It's fine - I say we move forward. Fei wouldn't dig too much into this out of respect for (all of) the family's privacy.

Besides, we really need to try and keep in the 'present' to avoid confusion and 'post hunting', neh? ;D

A skilled healer would realize that Anahita's methods are that of a healer's, and she's doing what she can to help provide support and distraction, yet not overtly, to engage Ori Reading to focus past her prior concerns for hurting anyone. Since that really didn't even happen.

"Well, for starters stop calling me ma'am," she said with a wobbly smile, starting to feel a little better now that she was once more dressed in clothes that weren't about to fall apart. "Professor Reading works, or Ori if we're being informal."

At the request of Professor Reading, Anahita nods and smiles. >>Speaking as she does, means she is feeling better and asserting. This is good<< she thinks quietly to herself. She moves to give Ori more room.

"So, Krysh'E'Kile'vic.. Let us call it, Krysh, shall we? In a cave- do you recall if there were markings on the cave, what manner of binding symbols or foci did you see around? Does it ever seak with you from with in?"

"Perhaps this spirit was bound by it's own anger, and finding you, with your anger, was able to shift positions, thus transferring from one location to another. It might be a spirit that lives off the rage of Nature, thrashing against injustice done by Man or the equivalent in his arrogance. I have known many elementals and spirits that often act in this fashion."

"My suggestion would be to see if that name is known, and then learn of it's history if such is learnable, perhaps in our extensive library. Otherwise, a summoning of another spirit, similar in nature. Spirits often have long memories, especially those of the Earth. Like an elephant," she offers somewhat hopefully to make a reference.

"I have the time to assist with this, if you are willing, we could seek out this information together. Do you know of anyone skilled in the art of summoning spirits specifically? Perhaps they even know this spirit."

Then, as an after thought, Anahita adds, "Otherwise, I would suggest that we merely release the spirit, in an alternate plane of existence, simply built to house it where we can engage in discussion. If it does not wish to speak, it would be a simple matter to restore you, I assume, as it was done before. My biggest concern, however, is that you are entwined in it's essence, or it in yours. Thus, whatever we do, we must be cautious as it may very well affect you. It's also possible that you and it, are inseparable. Do you recall why you were angry that day? It may have been fate that brought you to together."

After that myriad of speaking and question asking, Anahita sits and calmly waits for a response. Clearly she's more interested in solving issues than class study.

Given that other people were just in the infirmary, and then left, Anahita would have glanced over while the curtains were still drawn, then returned her gaze to Ori Reading afterwards.

She continues to look supportive and patient, with her expressive dark features. She unconsciously fiddles with the chain on her left hand when speaking of 'doing magic' earlier on.

Ardiente's voice continues to ring hollow, passionless. His gaze meets Aananda's, but his eyes are barely focusing. It is eerily reminiscent of Taron's Apathy. So much for Ardiente's crush on Raelle. That would be awkward for everyone involved. Not to mention that she doesn't seem into Firebirds ;)

Ardiente's voice continues to ring hollow, passionless. His gaze meets Aananda's, but his eyes are barely focusing. It is eerily reminiscent of Taron's Apathy. Despite this, he seems to absently pull stone over the lava near Aananda, allowing her to move a little closer if she wishes, as the heat is more contained. As long as the makeshift shield doesn't start to melt anyway. "I believe Sorchan is a little irritated at me for a dishonourable thing I said last night."

"I...'m sorry. I am not entirely sure I am ready for more family right now. It's too much. I can't even think. I feel as though my mind is a fire with no fuel, struggling to stay lit."

Technically they're only related by marriage....but yeah, the family tree is confusing enough as it is. ^.^

"Sorchan is quite capable of scolding a child without thinking less of them. Watch how he speaks to his children. I think you'll find it quite similar. But you can go at your own speed."

"So far I'm the only member of this family who knows about you. I would like your permission to tell my mate. I don't like keeping secrets from him. I promise you, he is not one to go blabbing secrets.....that would be Ephebe...we probably should tell her last." ;)

"You can take the time you need, Ardiente. You don't have to be introduced to everyone at once."

With a great effort of will, Ardiente stands up out of the lava, bending any of the more viscous and clingy bits back into the pool before pulling the heat out and dissipating it throughout the room, causing the stone to return to it's previous state. He focuses, fixing any imperfections (bubbles, whorls, etc) in the stone that his bath may have caused.

He seems to be trying extremely hard to be lively once again. The attempt is failing, but his voice at least carries some passion. "It would be dishonourable of me to ask you to keep this from someone so close to you, if he can be trusted to also keep it in confidence. Especially given the kindness you have already shown me, Professor."

The formality is beginning to creep back in. Stiff, soldier-like. Something comforting, and something to hide behind at the same time. "Thank you. I believe I may have already missed my first class, and I do not wish my instructors to think I am not taking my studies seriously." Aananda is fairly certain he's putting on a brave face, either trying to ignore what he learned here, or trying to pretend he doesn't care. Either way, he's not going to convince many people like that.

Rahz Endoril wrote:
Rahz was just in the advanced illusions class, not even paying attention to the teacher and instead whispering and writing in his notebook about possible experiments he could conduct while the class was going on when he felt something wrong with the raw magical energy somewhere close by. It interested him slightly, but he figured that the wind would tell him what happened, and so he resumed writing and whispering in Ignan.

Tyrrin had noticed the strange new student during the class, somewhat irritated at his whispering. It was fairly distracting for those who were sitting near to him.

After the class had been dismissed, Tyrrin will intercept Rahz either on his way out of class, or at his desk while he's packing up his things. (Your choice Rahz)

"Good Morning. I don't believe we've been introduced. My name is Tyrrin Denulia. I don't believe I've seen you before, which means you must be a new student. It is my pleasure, Mister...?"

Next part is mostly directed towards Raelle, but anyone else in Advanced Illusions may notice it as well.

Raelle had been introduced to Tyrrin before, and had heard a few introductions of hers since. She was the acting Student Council President after all, and she was always looking to meet the new students. What is strange this time though... is that Tyrrin left her position as High Seer Denulia's daughter out of the introduction.

After Tyrrin had greeted him, Rahz didn't look up for a while, still writing away and whispering to himself at his desk. His words remained in Ignan as he wrote, which he did for a few more seconds.

Ignan whisperings:
"...quick to conclusions...elven decent...formal, yet possibly forced...exuberant magical potential...will need to experiment..."

After his last line, he looked up at Tyrrin and studied her for a bit before speaking in Common. "Rahz Endoril," he completed her attempt to name him. "Yes, I am new, just got here this morning. Here at Avalon because it seemed like the logical choice to...learn."

A slight bit of hesitation in his voice could be picked up, though it could be interpreted as either a need to pick the right word, or mask another.
