Phaezeriel |
Forest
Phaezeriel turns his glowing silver gaze to the elf with a scarf over his mouth. A moment later his voice sounds in everyone's mind. At the same time he flies up to hover in front of the group.
::Can I have everyone's attention for a moment please? We have amongst us one who cannot speak or cannot speak safely. While he can speak telepathically, he must do so one by one. One of the things I can do for us is to make a link between our minds so that we can speak instantly to one another. This link will last until either YOU choose to leave it, or I choose to take you out of it. It also allows me to heal you no matter how far you are from me. It takes very little energy to form and very little to maintain. Do not worry that anyone can read your mind or listen to your thoughts, you have to choose to communicate. Are you all willing?::
Phaezeriel will look about for nods, and once he sees a few, he will reach out with his mind and form a collective.
Khassar Blackadder |

As Khassar watches Krays change into a dragon, something stirs within his mind.
Will check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23
Since it developes into a massive headache, Khassar ignores it and scouts around.
Perception: 1d20 + 34 ⇒ (16) + 34 = 50
Dennis Buttercup |

Dennis climbed up on a rock and shouted.
"Okay, show's over. Now, are we gonna try and win this thing or not? I think we should have a council to run things instead of just one person. All in favor...yeah, that's what I thought. Everybody who doesn't want to be on the council head over to the right. Anyone who does want to be on the council go to the left."
"And try not to trample each other while trying to avoid responsibility," he muttered noticing the sudden rush of people towards the right side.
Nala Zamarosok |
Island
Nala hesitates for a moment before stepping to the left. She might not be popular, but she really thought she could help.
Kitty Tanaka |

Kitty stepped to the right quickly. She wasn't much for being in charge of things.
Roland Agape |

:: Never had any problem with dragons myself:: Roland comments amicably, testing out the telepathic link.
He kneels and scoops out a handful of dirt from the forest floor. He watches it as he lets it fall through his fingers.
::I guess what you should all know is that I am a lover, not a fighter, but I can hold my own and I have abilities that should support our group quite well:: The Angel informs his teammates.
Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |
Forest
::Alright, folks. That's as good an endorsement as you can get...the angel and the demon both agree I'm not a ravening beast,:: Jiminy said jokingly.
Agarthian Storyteller |
Forest
With Phaezeril's announcement, Anthony looks away from Jiminy and scans the crowd for Ehos. He heads over as soon as he sees his friend.
"Ehos! You're in the Forest Kingdom too! Awesome!"
"You can connect people's minds?" Michael asks with obvious interest. If he was connected to everyone, he wouldn't have to be next to them to copy a power... the possibilities were astounding.
Getting close to Jiminy, Belyu whispers low enough for only him to hear.
"Didn't a demon already endorse your family?"
Island
Juco and Maru, already on the right, stay where they are.
Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |
Forest
Jiminy smirks, which is an interesting expression on a dragon, as he replied to Belyu.
::But if I bring up my brother-in-law that leads to awkward questions about where Kam and Taron are now. Among other things...like that my brother is presently female. And pregnant. You of all people should really appreciate that image.::

"I'm only okay with a monarchy if I get to be queen," Fieri joked. "But I'm guessing that the others will have their own ideas instead," she finished with a mock sigh.
Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |
Forest
"Wish I'd suggested it. They're creative and were thinking about writing a book." Belyu replies with a wry grin.
::I did record Mom's reaction, so Tare could see it later. It was priceless.::
::Alright people. Now that we're done with the show and have a collective, thanks by the way Phaezeriel, let's get back to the game. We need to figure out who is in charge and then work on a strategy...I'd strongly suggest starting with not continuing to stand out in the open like targets.::
Roland Agape |
Forest
::I don’t really care who ends up in charge but I do have some suggestions for how we should conduct this war:: Roland says, as the last of the soil falls from his fingers. He stands, rubbing his hands together to clean them of clinging dirt.
::But the one thing we should definitely do first before making plans is, once we have found a safe place to gather ourselves, determine to the best of our abilities if there are any traitors to the Forest Kingdom in our midst. If one of us is working against the rest it doesn’t matter how good we are, that is a vulnerability that will almost assuredly sink us. We should have the magical resources to quickly give everyone here a once over before moving on to matters of leadership and strategy so I suggest we do so.::
Sadie Jhiwoon |
Mountain
"What about Sadie?" Morrigan piped up. "She's really good at strategy and stuff. And she runs the fencing club...that's leading people, right?"
"There is no way I would ever take orders from her," Ursula sneered.
Sadie had had enough. Normally she just ignored Ursula and walked away. But not today. She walked up to Ursula and punched her in the face. Hard.
"What the hell is your problem?! I thought we were friends! Obviously, I was wrong, but how does that justify you being such a colossal jerk to me and my friends? And where do you get off judging me? Your obsession with your stupid brother goes way beyond sibling affection and don't think I'm the only one who's noticed, and in my opinion, that is way more f@##ed up than a girl being romantically attracted to other girls. Just get over yourself already!"
Wyrd the Elemental |
Without a word, Wyrd's skin craks open showing glowing red magma beneath and he more than doubles in size. His massive sword, which grows with him, he places against his back where it clings for no apparent reason. A single massive, earth shaking step brings him within reach of the two girls and one of his now enourmous hands picks each girl up gently, but firmly. Their feet dangling more than twelve feet above the ground. A voice as hard as the iron of which Wyrd is made comes from his mouth.
I do not know why you quarrel. I do not care. You will set aside your petty, childish, and altogether unremarkable differences for the duration of this War. If we fight from within, we are doomed. Am I clear?
narrator |
Good luck picking up Sadie...well, he's big enough he might be able to, but she's in a force bubble big sized hamster ball as soon as he reaches for her. Umm...and Ursula is spiky. Again, elemental might not care, but you should know that she is now covered in sharp, bony spines. You're probably immune to the toxin.:)
Jeran Darkclaw |
Mountain
Jeran silently cursed the elemental. They were handling it. It would have been fine. And now the whole thing was going to escalate out of control. They might as well just find the nearest kingdom and surrender at this rate.
He punched the ground sending shock waves rippling. It's basically the equivalent of stomp. He's just trying to get Wyrd's attention.
"Put. Them. Down."

His hands are quite likely large enough to pick up her bubble, and ursula's spines have absolutely no effect on him.
"Put. Them. Down."
Flinty eyes regard Jeran for a moment, then turn back to the two girls, dismissing Jeran once again.
You can resume your quarrel when this is all finished. Until then, you are on the same side and will act as such. Agreed?

Dylen scratches his cheek as he considers that, but he says nothing.
"I...do not believe we can reach any consensus with this group so...scattered," Fei says quietly, noting the multiple directions that several of their group have taken off in.
Sadie Jhiwoon |
Mountain
Sadie tipped her bubble just enough to get it leaning over the edge of Wyrd's hand and then jumped off, dismissing the bubble as she jumped to get away from his grip.
"Screw this! I'm leaving!" she shouted, as she walked away, reforming a moving shield over her as she went to prevent any pot shots as she left.
Morrigan hesitated for a minute, biting her lip as she watched Sadie leave.
"Sadie! Wait for me! I'm going with you!" she called out, running after the older girl.
Jeran Darkclaw |

"Great job, you idiot! That's what I was trying to tell you when you decided to continue playing hall monitor instead of listening! You can't force people to get along by bullying them! Gods know I tried! It always ends badly. Great job convincing our best strategist to defect though. I'm not real thrilled about being on the same team as you right now either," he growled at Wyrd, glaring at him.
Oneiro Mance |
Mountain
"That could have been handled better. You," he says, pointing at Ursala, "seem to have forgotten the school is a place of acceptance." With that, paper wings form and he leaps into the air to follow the girls. He flies low overhead so he can speak to them as they leave.
"I will not try to convince you to stay, but someone needs to scout the area and I wouldn't want you getting lost in the mountains."
Wyrd the Elemental |
Mountain
With a look of disgust that encompasses Jeran, Oneiro, Ursula, and Sadie, Wyrd carefully sets Ursula on the ground again. Despite his size, substance, and obvious irritation, Wyrd is surprisingly gentle. His voice however, is harsh and rough with frustration.
I am surrounded by petulant children! Looking at Jeran, his voice scathing, You, child, cease your bleating. If you will carefully review my words, you will realize that I never said they had to get along. His gaze sweeps across everyone. None of us have to get along. We do, however, have to put aside our differences and petty, childish quarrels, and WORK TOGETHER! Someone let me know when you have all decided to act like something other than spoiled, petulant brats, and are prepared to get to work! As a side note, if this behavior is typical of your 'brilliant strategist,' you are better off with her heading towards yon horizon. As he speaks, Wyrd's body begins to heat and crack apart, and by the end of it he is bellowing in rage and is made entirely of molten iron. As he stalks away, his feet shaking the ground, a portion of the valley floor rises with a faint rumble, making a large pile of stones. Wyrd goes stalks to the low summit of this pile and sits with a hissing and cracking of rocks under his intense heat.
I am curious, though, how Sadie tipped her bubble, when it was being gripped like an apple.

Sadie didn't speak, not trusting herself not to break down and not wanting to embarrass herself in front of people she didn't really know. Well, she sort of knew Morrigan.
Morrigan smiled shyly at Oneiro. "Okay. Umm...I'm Morrigan. This is Sadie. I don't think she want to talk right now though. She's kind of the strong, silent type most of the time anyways. But she's been really upset this week. I don't know about what, but she skipped fencing practice last night and she never skips practice. Umm...not that I'm some crazy stalker or anything...at least, not on purpose."

The same way he picked up the girls without making a CMB check. :P
The non-facetious answer, All she had to do was tip it slightly so that she could dive off his hand when she dismissed the bubble.Ursula curled up crying, thoroughly traumatized by the whole event.
"Right, cause you're the very picture of maturity, picking people up without permission and pitching a tantrum when you get called on it," Jeran mutters.
"So...what now?" Jaiye asks warily.

She damn well better know politics.
Tyrrin is of course, referring to an analogue of Rome, who had a similar system. Cincinnatus (for whom Cincinnati is named after) was one such Dictator, and returned to his farm after having saved the republic.

Dennis shrugged. "Well, there's a lot of different forms of government on Agartha, but not a lot of military states. Generals usually answer to a monarch or a tribal council or something. We may have a difference in language here. What would you call someone who leads troops but still answers to a higher ranking government authority?"

Ephebe 'spoke' in a mild tone, but her mental voice can be easily heard.
::But Remus was still a republic Tyrrin. And if I remember the latter half of that textbook correctly, and I do, Remus was destroyed by civil war after a dictator refused to relinquish power.
