"Um... we're okay.. it was just a small accident. Nothing to worry about." Vai says, her smile speaking volumes to Fieri. Then she spots the Angel. A being of Light, standing in front of the Champion of Light. A strange comparison. Vai curtsies politely as they pass.

"A celestial...most likely an angel," the young monk replies, after having observed at said celestial and his odd juxtaposition of food items (after a polite bow, of course).
"Although they normally do not eat pizza, ice cream and hamburgers," he adds sagely as they mount the stairs to the main floor.

Headmaster Ryo |

Tyrrin enters the room, head held high. "I will have tea, thank you." she takes a cup from the tray and sips at it. "What I discovered in the library wasn't substantiated by anything until I spoke to Mr. de Eil. What he told me was... disturbing, to say the least. He told me something of the History of Agartha... something, it seems, you are aware of and have been hiding from the other High Seers."
"Not actively. I just let it remain hidden to prevent genocide." Ryo takes a sip of tea before contuing. "You are aware of the old legends, correct?"

Tyrrin Denulia |

"To whose genocide are you referred? The... amethyst dragons who put all the innocents of Agartha in danger?" Despite the venom in her words, Tyrrin is speaking conversationally, as though her and Ryo were discussing the weather, or events around the school. "I am familiar with many legends, I imagine you will want to specify...."

Fieri Sunwake |

Fieri led Roland to the practice space and showed him what instruments they had. She encouraged him to find a comfortable spot to relax while the rest of the band came in and they got set up to play.
"Alright, guys, let's try the new song, 'kay?"
Fieri has a singing voice like Leslie Roy, but that's a pretty limited catalog, so I find songs that suit the sound of the band. :)

Headmaster Ryo |

"The ones that say that all dragons are nothing but blood-thirsty creatures of destruction. They were spread by assassins hired by the Empire to kill the amethysts." Ryo either does not notice the venom in his student's words or ignores it. "Strange that you think the amethyst dragons put us all in danger though. Care to explain your theory?"

"I think you underestimate the power of fear. If people actually acted on tales such as those, there would be no Cardcasters either. I'm guessing dragons are probably more frightening than somebody who casts spells in a different fashion. Yet..." Tyrrin leaves that hanging, moving onto the next topic. "Well, if what Mr. de Eil told me is true - and you've made no attempt to refute it - then this whole planet was created so that the Amethysts might hide away from the Empire. Which means every living soul on the planet might be considered complicit in the eyes of this "Empire", even if they have never heard of dragons, amethyst or otherwise."

Roland Agape |

As Roland passes Fei and Vai he gives them an endearingly friendly smile.

After taking a moment to gobble up the burger and pizza, Roland takes a seat and listens to the bands powerful song. When they finish he looks at them with wide eyes. His ice cream falls out of the cone and splats on the ground. “I…wow.” He says.
Yep I understand, I’ll likely do the same if Roland gets into music here as well. I imagine his voice as a slightly more masculine version of Susan Boyle's But I would prolly focus on ‘performing’ rock songs, as they fit the Angel’s personality much better.

Cause I think Dalesman is home for the night.
Vai takes the time during a break in the conversation to focus her champion power and tap into her Mom's radio frequency. Aananda's comm crackles to life. The voice sounds like Vai, but the signal is so pristine it sounds as though she was right there. ::Mom? It's Vai. Fei and I... we kinda had an accident in our training room. It needs... repairing.::
Vai doesn't appear to be speaking, but Fei can tell that she is concentrating on something, and her necklace is glowing ever so slightly.

"I dunno," Spike, the centaur bassist said doubtfully. "I don't think I had enough power on the speaking part. It might need to sound a bit angrier."
"No way," Bonnie, the aasimar drummer said, twirling her sticks. "If it were any angrier you'd be yelling and that doesn't suit this song at all."
"I gotta agree with Bonnie on this one, Spike," Pan, the (male) dryad guitarist, said. "I think this way is what works."

Roland Agape |

Roland looks down at his fallen ice cream with a look of loss, but then shrugs, there are more treats like that one back at the cafeteria.
He raises his eyes to meet Fieri’s and grins. “You guys are awesome, no joke! What are you doing wasting time going to school with talent like that?” He teases, brushing over the centaur's self doubts. “If you guys ever need a backup singer just tell me, I would be honored to join you for a set here and there!”

Fieri laughed. "There's lots of reasons to be in a school, you know, especially this one. Bonnie over there on drums...her skin turns to actual metal sheeting when she's nervous. Obviously, she'd like to get some control over that. Pan is a male dryad. Do you have any idea how rare that is? Where else would he be able to make friends? And Spike...ummm.....he's got some authority issues.....Anyways, this is the best place for us. Actually, next year I'll probably be teaching music. Probably for the little kids, but still. It's not like I have anywhere else to go, and Jiminy has those factories in town so it makes sense to stay here."
"And we'd love to have you join us for a set. Now that we've showed you what we do, how about you give us a taste of what you can do?"

Roland laughs and winks. “Hehe, I know, I’m just teasing. And absolutely, I’ll sing you a song.”
he uses his 1/day limited wish ability to summon the band the sheet music for the song he wants to sing.
“Perform with me guys!” He requests.
Picking up the mic a serious, somewhat mournful expression crosses his face.
“This is a song I wrote for my first true love.” He informs the band. “A Succubus with a sweet and innocent heart of gold. She was the one who truly showed me that a person is more than the circumstances they are born into. A part of me loves her still, though my mother and her master tore us apart long ago.”
Beckoning the band to start playing he begins to sing.

Fitting since she's the Champion of Love and all....but I bet he'll be disappointed when he finds out she's with Asch. ;)

Roland stands silently for a moment after he finishes singing, still holding the mic. He turns slowly and hands it to Fieri. His eyes glimmer with what might be unshed tears and for a moment his typically clownish affect is completely absent.
He blinks a few times then a wide grin slowly spreads across his face. “Thanks Fieri!” He declares. “From a true artist like you to a hopeful like me, that certainly is high praise!”

“Really?” Roland responds, his eyebrows shooting up.
“How is that even possible? This really is a school of super beings! I think I’m going to have a good time here.” The Angel informs his new classmates.

Fieri Sunwake |

"I'm sure you will," she said with a laugh.
"Alright, how about we just jam for a bit, just play around. Feel free to suggest any song you like and we'll all just wing it. It's good practice for us."

“Absolutely!” Roland says as he waves his hand. The notes on his summoned music sheets rewrite themselves in response.
“How about this song?" Roland offers. “Written by a Drow bard I once met to explain his complicated feelings for his matron mother. I still don’t really know what exactly he meant by it, but it rocks pretty hard.”

Fieri Sunwake |

Yeah, I think in the interest of moving things along we should just handwave the rest of this jam session. We need to move on so that folks can get to writing up the highlights and major events of the week leading up to the War.

Tyrrin Denulia |

"A good argument. When this world was first created though, the people allied with the amethysts came with them. Our ancient ancestors were complicit and the Dragon Empire will pass the punishmenton to us. It is entirely possible that you owe your existence to the dragons who made this world."
"Just because my existence is largely dependant on them doesn't mean I am indebted to them. I will, however, concede that if our ancestors brought us here as well, then we have no right to feel as though the amethyst dragons are at fault. What I am curious about in this regard is your stake in this matter." Tyrrin takes a sip of tea. It was very good tea after all. "This must be personal in some way. I can't see any other reason you would go to the lengths you have, or take the stances you do. While it's interesting, I suppose the why is probably irrelevant in this case. So, let's move on to the real question. Why should I withhold this information, especially from my Mother?"

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Sifu Chen Daiyu |

Sifu Daiyu pads barefoot through the halls of the school to the Headmaster's office. Upon arriving, she knocks six times, firmly but politely, in two groups of three. This is not a secret code or anything like that, it is simply an ancient habit born of superstition, ingrained into her by her parents. She could excise something like this from her persona with ease -- she'd done it with enough other tics and habits in the past -- but she allows it to remain.
Perhaps it reminds her of home.

"I... might have also treated him differently when we first met, if I had been less ignorant. Maybe that is one time I'm not sorry for not knowing. Er. That made sense, right?"
...
"I told my Mom about the wall. She said that it didn't show up on the security system, so it's not urgent. She can fix it tomorrow at our session." By this time, the pair have made it back to the cafeteria, Vai waits to see if Fei will join her. Minus Fieri, everyone was still at the table. It could be embarrassing for both of them...

Fei looks over at Vai, noting the questioning gaze.
"Whatever you are most comfortable with. You do not appear as...enthused as you did a few moments ago, but I think your family will be pleased...and will now not attempt to injure me," he says with just the hint of a smile, bowing his head in deference to her.

Vai Sunwake |

"I'm very happy Fei, I just don't want you to feel uncomfortable either. Let's go." Vai falls in stride with the muscular monk, they enter the cafeteria side-by-side. Vai is practically beaming as the pair return to their seats at the table.

Ephebe |

"Oh, good. You look happy. Vai, I'm sorry. I didn't know you felt that way about Fei. I know you were just trying to figure things out with Sadie. I didn't realize that mentioning that to Fei would make things awkward for you. Forgive me?"

Krays |

Looks amused.

Vai Sunwake |

"It's okay Ephebe! Sadie and I talked this morning. Besides, what would a day be without me getting awkward about something?" she joked. Vai's food was obviously cold, but that didn't dampen her spirit whatsoever as she started again on the half-eaten meal.
