In a flash of light a young man appears.
He blinks a few times as if dazzled.
Lean and strong, the boy has the physique of a natural athlete, though much of it is obscured beneath his loose fitting dark colored clothes. A mithral rapier hangs at his side and a golden stud adorns one earlobe.
He runs a hand through his silky black hair as his emerald eyes survey the room.
"So here I find myself." He says to himself.
Upon spying a strange mantis being standing before him he steps forward and bows, using his right hand he takes one of the mantis' sickle limbs and brings it to his lips, giving it the light kiss that is a customary greeting in his clan.
"Fondest greetings, Mamzel." He says, using the honorific normally reserved for noble women. "Is this fine place Avalon?"
Suddenly his cheeks color as something occurs to him.
"Uh, If you are not a Mamzel forgive me, sometimes I cannot tell the gender of other species I meet. I hope you do not think me a specist."
"Humans," the mantis creature said in a buzzing voice, sounding a bit disgusted. "Your habits of sharing germs as a form of greeting is most...distressing. My gender is male, although I hardly see why that matters for forms of address. Females of my species do not travel far from the nests. My name is Dzevizzen and I am a member of the infirmary staff. I was instructed to meet you and bring you to the infirmary for a checkup to make sure that you were not damaged on the journey. Understandable. Your species lack of chitin makes injury inevitable. Please follow me," he added primly.

Mel smiles, accepting the icepack, she like being pampered by cute boys.
Ginni got attacked I believe, I kind of got in a little late. i think she was murdered, but she came back, and well, that's when everything went nuts.
Mel holds the icepack on a little longer, this is nice, thanks. Once I get my head out of this pain, I hope to piece together everything and figure this out. I just need a little time.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, ace is with her now. I don't know what he is planning, but if he has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
"It's alright. You rest. I'll go find Ace. He was already helping me investigate the murders...that it was his girlfriend that got attacked this time...it might not be a coincidence."
"Was Phaezeriel helping too? Usually this guy does bad stuff to his victims minds just to make them suffer. Phaezeriel was able to undo it the last two times," he said, being careful to keep his tone quiet so as not to irritate her headache.

Jiminy, Prankster of the Future |

Jacob waits until Jiminy stops speaking into his strange device, then says "It all began on the day of the plague. When my da' started to advance upon me, I prayed for something, anything to save me. I woke up in a pile of destroyed plague victim. These incidents kept recurring every time I was in danger, and I always found myself on top of a pile of corpses. They were always some form of evil: bandits, orcs, goblins..." The little boy begins tearing up. "I don't know who else to turn to, with my mom gone. Can you help me?"
Jiminy puts his hand on Jacob's shoulder. "It's going to be okay, kid. I can't help you directly, but I know where to send you to get you the help you need. Sounds to me like the early manifestations of some pretty crazy ability. You've heard of Avalon? I mean, it's hard not to...it's just over that way."

narrator |
"So the most expedient thing would be to kill the wrong Vai or get her to return to her own timeline, correct?" he ponders this for a few seconds. "Anything you can do to ease things for Ephebe would be appreciated, as always." He bows...then:"Baths are usually relaxing because of the effect the hot water has on muscle...
"YES, THAT WOULD BE THE BEST WAY TO CORRECT THE IMBALANCE. BUT LUMOS WILL NOT LIKE IT AND WILL TRY TO STOP YOU. LUMOS WANTS TO KEEP THAT ONE INSTEAD OF THE ONE FROM THIS UNIVERSE. BUT HER PRESENCE HERE MAKES THE HOLE BETWEEN REALITIES GROW LARGER. IT INCREASES THE RISK OF DESTROYING BOTH. IT IS ALSO NECESSARY TO COME UP WITH A WAY TO SHUT THE DOOR BETWEEN THE REALITIES."
"MUSCLE TISSUE, YOU SAY? THAT COULD BE A ...COMPLICATION."
"THAT IS A VERY THOROUGH REPORT ON DANCING. I STILL DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY FIND IT SO FUN TO HAVE THESE RITUALIZED BODY SHAKING SESSIONS, BUT PERHAPS IT IS ONE OF THOSE THINGS THAT MUST BE EXPERIENCED TO BE UNDERSTOOD," he said thoughtfully.
And then Krays was standing once more in Avalon.

Wyrd the Elemental wrote:A voice that sounds like boulders and gravel tumbling together comes from Jiminy's wrist comm, "I am here, boss. I am about to do the hot repair on the #12 foundry. How can I assist?""As soon as you're done with that foundry repair I'd like you to head over to Kuros. There was a lot of structural damage to the city during the plague and it could take weeks for them to fix it all, but you can put up new walls or repair broken ones in minutes. And the sooner we get the town fit for habitation the better. These people have already been through enough."
"I hear, and will comply." As he speaks the sound of a heavy door opening, and the roaring of an inferno nearly drowns out Wyrd's voice before the comm goes silent. An alert blinking on Jiminy's comm indicates that the #12 foundry furnace has been opened while it was operating at full power.

While to all observers near her, Anahita paid attention to the lecture and participated expertly with any questions and answers, relating to what had been shared in class.
She gave a polite nod of farewell to the turned silent angel demonic elf, waved to the muted, and bid the halfling a polite farewell.
Social acts complete, once the class finished, she promptly vanished, leaving behind the recent characteristic fluttering creatures, or sprigs from the seats if wooden.

Aananda sniffles and brushes away tears. She tries to smile back at him, even if it is a bit watery and lopsided.
"Hey," she said hoarsely, and then her lip starts to quiver as she tries to hold back a fresh flood of tears.
"I don't know what to do," she whispered, leaning her head on his shoulder as the tears started again.
He reaches around with one hand and cradles her head until the tears slow down again. He then carefully stands, forcing her to sit back up in her seat.
"Let me try to talk with her and see if I have any luck," he says gently, giving her hands a quick kiss before releasing them.
He stops for a moment as he is about to walk toward Vai's room, then asks "does her boyfriend know about this yet?"

"Ace's" Room-- Divination
Ace silently asks his god "What is the best way to try and uncover the identity of the being who murdered Kitty and Ginni??" He has a 90% chance for a correct answer.
The sound of wheels, over the ground, changing to feet walking, then running, wings flapping, the wind blowing, faint smells of travel and the like flow into Ace's mind, and the voice of the Traveler, always different speaking.
"Rise from your prayer and move to see, for sitting idle does nothing for me. Seek out that which hides in plain sight, blank and hidden from the means to see. Even opaqueness is a sign, if one seeks and notices where such are worn to blind. The color of life flow in their eyes, a legacy of acts, taken and worn for all to hear when asked. I will not tell you directly who, or what, for I travel the same road you do too, even if on other paths-- but, I guide you on your path, with these words. Without motion, there is only stillness. Stillness is not the Way."
Might be a bit more 'wordy', but so far as I can tell after numerous re-reads and writes, accurate per Divination with at least ...two to three bits of advice, which fulfill the 90% accurate, if you act on it, with the flavour of your Traveler's portfolio, as I read it. Hopefully this gets some of the creative juices flowing.

He'll just leave him there to fret. Moving on...
There are numerous other locations, similar to the ones you spotted before -- living quarters, study halls, and private chambers. Oddly enough, of the remaining people that are found, nearly all of them are either dead, or have been dead for quite some time.
Looks as though a good majority of the place up and split, killing people on their way out.
...However...
At one point, Casseus does come upon a room with shackled and chained people of various ages, health and races. Looks as though primarily 'northern people' (i.e. blonde/blue eyed folk) in various states of health. Some are quite dead, some close too it, insane and the like. The room does not smell good, which he can sense before opening the door even.
No one's spotted Casseus, on the other side of the jail like, door (locked on the outside), so he could ignore them and keep searching, or interact.
Where is Vick?
Per my earlier post, dunno. Assumption will be she didn't come with at this point, considering lack of posts and lack of CoC approval prevents any interaction at this time as a player even.

Breaking the jail door, and then giving his message, Casseus presses on. It's a grim situation, and quite ...unraveling, sadly. Perhaps that 'voice' that was parleying with him, once the first four caster 'bugged out', took the rest of their cult with them, or something else is at foot.
Over all, however, the multiple people that Tryko'Sam had initially started to collecting information on, for the team to sneak in and whisk away the innocents, doesn't appear to be around. Scores of innocents, or victims, in various states of mental and physical health, but, little to no cultists.
What's Casseus' goal at this point? It's been roughly ten to fifteen minutes of 'searching' the city, which seems rather big, burrowed in the mountain (no windows yet, no outside views). Keep searching randomly?
