narrator wrote:"Sounds good." Kedikai replies. "Do I have a roommate or do I bunk alone here?" He asked. Kedikai never liked being alone but Avalon was a big school, perhaps everyone got a room to themselves.Kedikai wrote:"If you find it is not to your taste after all, you can always transfer out later," Mr. Quillblood said, barely suppressing a smile. "Here is your schedule and your new student information packet. I included a hall pass in case you want to go and see your room before going to your next class."narrator wrote:"Ah! Death magics...hmmm....undead...well they say you go to school to learn new things I guess."
"No, that would be mathemagics. Necromancy is basically death magic. Studying undead, that sort of thing."
"Accommodations are provided for those who wish to room alone, but the more standard arrangement is to have a roommate. Excuse me, please."
"Finished with those forms already?" the eleven scribe asks Rakki, who had been waiting to turn in his forms.

Jessa Mar'Niell |

"Yes. She is all too real and she is my mother. Let's just say that my childhood was magical, in all the worst senses possible. I have a few lingering issues. I doubt that saying her name will do anything bad to you. Ryuzo is just being cautious because we don't want her to find me. But whatever stories you heard, they weren't even close to the reality. Just...never assume that because Winter is cruel that means Summer is kind. The fey can be dangerous no matter what Court they serve. Caution and respect is always the best policy when dealing with them," Nala's voice remains calm as she speaks, but frost patterns form around her feet every time she takes a step, a sure sign of stress and not an uncommon reaction to talking about her mother.
Jessa nods, though Nala may not see it, leading as she is, "I will refrain from saying her name either, as I would not like for her to find you through me, somehow. Despite the actions of my less friendly twin, you have been nothing but helpful and friendly to me. Thank you."

Jacob Forgehand |

*facepalm* Oops, I meant Pyra.
"Y-ye-yes, I'm new here. Nice to meet you, Kim." Jacob then turns to Pyra. "Um, missus, do you mind if I take off my jacket, it is a bit hot." He is obviously very uncomfortable in it.
Jacob was obviously raised extremely formally, though it looks like he has never been beaten.
Also, won't be able to get on for the weekend.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

** spoiler omitted **
::I will return as soon as I can,:: he says with a deep, respectful bow despite the darkness.
The young monk stills himself and then casts his senses outward, searching for the dark echo of his meldanya's aura of courage that burns so brightly nearby. After a moment, he finds something. It is similar to Vai, but tainted...bolstered by hate and bitterness.
Fei's eyes open, and he takes a centering breath. He then disappears...

Valēre |

The young monk stills himself and then casts his senses outward, searching for the dark echo of his meldanya's aura of courage that burns so brightly nearby. After a moment, he finds something. It is similar to Vai, but tainted...bolstered by hate and bitterness.
Fei's eyes open, and he takes a centering breath. He then disappears...
....and then feels a sensation not unlike being grabbed or pulled aside at great velocity. A familiar deep-yet-feminine voice speaks into Fei's ear:
"And you were doing such a good job of remaining level-headed in the middle of this mess. Oh well...I guess I can't fault you for being overprotective. Or complain too much - she does inspire you to some amazing acts of gallantry," Valēre says with a chuckle that quickly fades.
"However, I will not let you kill yourself by crashing a party with 'guests' you don't know about, so I'll just drop you off nearby where you can appreciate how the game has changed..."

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

When Fei raappears, he knows he is not where he intended to arrive. He is not very far away, though.

Fei, of the Sun Soul |

Fei, thankfully, appears to be out of immediate view within a modern facility of some kind.
The young monk crouches down quietly, looking at his attire. His nanosuit shifts slightly, becoming a very flat matte gray-black, non-reflective and inconspicuous.
He begins to take in his surroundings when he feels something...two presences. One he recognizes as the aura of the other Vai. The other, however, gives him pause as he recognizes it too. He last felt it at Avalon a few days ago, but to be out here means only one thing.....
Hope has chosen a new Champion.

Rakki Okane |

"Accommodations are provided for those who wish to room alone, but the more standard arrangement is to have a roommate. Excuse me, please."
"Finished with those forms already?" the eleven scribe asks Rakki, who had been waiting to turn in his forms.
"Yes. I guess you could say I know my way around a legal document. And I knew what sort of classes I am here for as well."
He offers the documents to the scribe.
Melody Waverider |

Carl after getting his coffee heads up to see how Mel's doing.
Tapping on the door he sticks his head round"How ya a doing lass?"
Mel was laying on the bed working like crazy on her data pad apparently engaged in some world changing experiment.
When Carl comes in she is a little startled, huh? Oh hey, How'd you know I was in here, again?
almost before he could answer hey you know anything about nanites? or know anybody that knows about nanites, maybe even know somebody that knows somebody that knows about nanites?

Melody Waverider |

Mel smiles when he produces the cake. well now, that is a nice surprise. but it looks awfully big for just us two.
Mel wakes some adjustments to her sonic device and points it at the wall.
after a few seconds Mel ahs temporary control of the school PA system.
speaking into her sonic she makes a short school announcement. (this will not be broadcast to the elementary wing and the override will only work for this one announcement then security will shut it off.)
Attention please, will mr. Arthur Barren please report to the infirmary. Arthur Barren to the infirmary please.
she shuts off her sonic and the PA system is no longer in her control.
(and probably never be in her control again)

Carl_Ironfist_Promethium |

Places it on the table next to Mell with small paper plates and forks.
"Dat will get him here in no time Mel, Bet he things he's got another bout o STD's. Last lot make its man parts all purple and orange."
Hes joking but then Arthur tends to be the butt of Carls jokes as he is to Arthurs
Pulls out a cake knife and with skill cuts slices.

Headmaster Ryo |

Ace says a silent thank you to the Traveler, and places his hand on the wall, seeking the Headmaster. He will then teleport to whereever he is, including inside his office Unless warded against. If the office won't let him teleport inside, he will bang on the door until let in, if he must
Ace soon finds himself outside of the Headmaster's office. Just before he can start knocking on the door though, it swings open.

"Ace" |

Ace nods his head in greeting, though the grip on his staff belies his seeming casualness "Morning Headmaster, got a few minutes to discuss a killer on the loose in Avalon?"

"Ace" |

"I've got a lead, but I could use an assist deciphering it. I figure if there's anybody who has experience unraveling cryptic messages, it would be a High Seer. This is what I learned when I had cast a spell to divine the best way to find the killer." He then repeats what his deity told him.
"Rise from your prayer and move to see, for sitting idle does nothing for me. Seek out that which hides in plain sight, blank and hidden from the means to see. Even opaqueness is a sign, if one seeks and notices where such are worn to blind. The color of life flow in their eyes, a legacy of acts, taken and worn for all to hear when asked. I will not tell you directly who, or what, for I travel the same road you do too, even if on other paths-- but, I guide you on your path, with these words. Without motion, there is only stillness. Stillness is not the Way."

DM of the coins |

When Arthur enters the infirmary, none of the staff seem to recall asking for you until he notices Mel and Carl enjoying some cake.
thats when you realize that it was Mel that called you to the infirmary.

Romulus Wright |

HRMS-XI "Hermes" wrote:"May I enquire as to the purpose of this unit?""He is a medical golem" Romulus says brightly, and then looks around confusedly.... "I need to get him to my bike... Do you know where Kuros is from here?" the bright child asks happily

Arthur walks in the room looking around, sneaking suspision as to who had called him, this suspision is confirmed for him when he sees Mel and Carl eating cake, of all things, as he approaches he leans on a support column "now then, what was soo important that you had to, quite against the rules I might add, hack the infirmary access point to the nanite network in order to see me, now I understand that being befrit of my presence is terrible, but if you get yourself in detention you'll be right back where you started, if not worse" he quips dramatically, having difficulty keepin himself from laughing.

π@®®@+0® |

"So I see. Well, if you'll just give me a moment..."
He looks over Rakki's paperwork and ticks off some boxes on forms of his own. Glancing at a few other lists floating around, he hands back a student information package with a schedule on top.
"Now, there's a map there for you if you need it. Seems most students prefer the arrow system. If you're unfamiliar with it, you simply envision a destination or person in the school, place your hand or other appendage to the wall and arrows will be shown to guide you to a destination. Immediately spinning means that the person or place in question was all at once removed from the building. Guiding to an exit and then spinning means they left through said exit and may or may not still remain on the school grounds. Will there be anything else you require? First period ends in a few minutes. You may take your time, but we appreciate if you start your classes sooner rather than later."

Rakki Okane |

Rakki waited patiently for his schedule to be put together.
He accepts the bundle of papers and checks it over.
Satisfied with what he sees, he looks back up and addresses the clerk.
"Thank you for your assistance, Sir."
He sets his papers on the table and looks through them, giving each a read.

Kedikai |

"You're most welcome."
The clerk nods to him.
"Now, is there anything else I can do for you, Mr.Kon?"
He asks, having already given him the same set of pages.
Looking through the papers Kedikai nods. "Everything looks good." He says.
"On a personal note though, I am not from around here. I don't know anyone and I don't have any friends, is there a good place aside from class to introduce myself and try to make some?"

Death_Keeper |

The trundling creature whirrs and clicks its way into the town of Kuros, its creator having built it for maximum efficiency, not good looks.
The conglomeration of steam engines, clockwork, and high tech medical supplies is horrific in appearance.
Spotting the first injured human, a man trapped under a collapsed section of roofing, The amalgamation of parts approaches. The man's face is a mask of pain, fear, and disbelief as the hulk of metal approaches him. It reaches down...

Death_Keeper |

The golem heaves the heavy sheet metal to the side, freeing the man while two of its tendril like appendages wrap around his waist, restraining him, its other hand unsheathes a nano-scalpel and begins to cut away the clothing near the wound.
Its clockwork face has no expression as it works. It works in a very precise and methodical manner, though its bedside manner leaves much to be desired

π@®®@+0® |

"I haven't been here for very long myself. Seems that most of the students meet new people in the cafeteria. Outside of that, it's up to you. Most students become at least somewhat acquainted with their room mate."
He offers before leaning in and quietly adding, "you might want to start with the other young man there, as he's likely in the same boat you are."
He smiles and sits back in his chair.

Kedikai |

Kedikai smiles at the elf and nods. Turning to Rakki his forehead creases again as he realizes he really has seen this guy somewhere, but, whatever, he could make a good friend.
"How are you today?" He asks Rakki, trying to remember a proper greeting. "I like your clothes!"

Rakki Okane |

The clerk smiles as Rakki looks up from the papers.
"Doing as well as I can be, I suppose." He offers with a smile.
"Thank you. I'm glad someone noticed. That's a well made blade you've got there."
He offers a fingerless-gloved hand.
"Rakki Okane, if you didn't know."
The other Rakki's are using the guitars to gently knock a tennis ball back and forth.
If Kedikai is from off world, he's going to need to have seen or heard of Rakki fairly recently. Maybe the star ship on his way here had a bobble head of him or the driver had a T-shirt of his on or some such.

Kedikai |

"Kedikai Kon." Kedikai responds, enthusiastically shaking Rakki's hand. "I feel like I've seen you before, but I'm not quite sure where!"
Kedikai looks at the other Rakki's with the guitars. "Maybe I've just seen one of your brothers in the halls, are you all magicians...or er, what's the one with songs, musicians?"
Doesn't matter too much where he first saw an image of him, once Kedikai forgets something it's likely gone, boy isn't too bright.

Rakki Okane |

His grip is not firm and Kedikai ends up shaking his arm up to the shoulder.
"You may have seen or heard of me in quite a few places. I'm a rather well known musician on a large part of Agartha."
He looks to the two of him playing guitar tennis.
"Would you cut that out?"
The ball disappears and the two of them drop the guitars which turn back into another two more copies of him. All four of them stand with hands behind their back.
"The broadly used term for music magic user is 'bard,' but I've personally never liked the term. And as far as they" he gestures to the duplicates "go, they're just a semi tangible illusion ability I have. Not really real, but good for heavy lifting and backup singers. Are you a musician?"
He puts the pages in a very exact stack and folds them, putting it inside his coat pocket.

Kedikai |

"They're not your brothers???" Kedikai exclaims in surprise, He puts his index finger to his lips as his eyes look at the ceiling. "Hmmm, and you're a famous musician?" He seems to think...hard.
He shrugs, having lost whatever it was he was thinking about. "I'm not a musician I guess, but I do sing well I have been told."

Melody Waverider |

Mel's eyes light up when Arthur shows up. Yayyy, Arthur's here, wonder how you knew we had cake?
she jumps out of bed and shows him to a seat. nevermind that, I need you....I mean, I need your help. with some nanites stuff. but first its time for cake, I haven't tried it yet but carl made it, so it's got to be good
she says then takes a bite. shee, great shtuff

Rakki Okane |

"I guess you could say they are in a weird, magic way. More like clones, though, one might say."
The four of them pick up the boxes in the stack.
"We should go find our rooms."
He walks towards the door, with a nod to the clerk.
Assuming he follows, he says, "shame you're not a musician. Love a good artist. Especially if they write music."
The other four follow him in a line.

Jacob Forgehand |

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!!!
Again Jacob's eyes stop shifting for a moment, depicting data-blue eyes with circuit-like pupils.
Effective +8 to Intelligence. Will PM you later about Jacob, Lyn. I had a few ideas of what to do with him after Lamir is taken care of.
"Wait a moment... The arrows can take me to whatever I need? Yes?"

"Ace" |

"Well, the first part is easy. I worship the Traveler whose all about wandering, and transformation. He didn't want me sitting still. Opaque means not transparent, right? So something that isn't see through?" Ace muses aloud.
Hey Dami, can Ace make a check here to help figure this out? With an Int of 36 and all those Knowledges, he is FAR smarter than I am IRL

Kedikai |

Kedikai follows along. He shrugs. "I like to sing. Never been good at writing much of anything though."

"yeah, you could say I have an... Intimate understanding of nanites" he says holding up his right hand and a mass of tiny metallic particles begin swirling around his hand he waits for her reaction before putting his hand down and using his left hand to reach for the cake, taking a bite out of it he makes content noises saying "mmm this is good, cream chease icing, and so moist, who made this, I know it wasn't Carl because it doesn't havea consistency resembling a brick"
