she goes back to the scan checking Asha over as she programs a full biological scan and tries to get her information on the molecular level.
It is good to know what you shared about your incident. It is of a great help to better understand what your next step will be.
"Uhh...okay," she said, not really sure how to respond to any of this.
The scan shows that she is a healthy female firebird. It also turns up a small genetic mutation not typically found among firebirds. Aside from this mutation there isn't anything of particular note to find.
Glancing over with his arms still folded and leaning on a nearby wall, Tryko'Sam asks, "So... What now? Did the scan determine she's a wonderful, happy girl who's ready to spread her wings and soar through life? Are we done now? Medical hoop cleared? No threat to the other students by virtue of clean living?"
He waits to hear what Julie has to say, helping Asha up if needed.

Nurse Julie reads over the results and compares then to a firebird standard scan.
She is a normal firbird girl. There is one small mutation, which may be the cause of the phenomenom you have experienced. Unfortunately I am only an intern and will have to have someone more experienced look at these.
She gives an innocent and somehow reassuring smile You are perfectly fine. I would just stay out of the cold. She adds with a smile hoping that it was understood as a joke. Julie never was very good at humor.
Going to Tybs. If you don't mind, I need those charts back for proper fileing. but you can take those other papers and give them to Ms Waverider please.
there is a tone in her voice as she makes the request. you just can't help but want to help her. though you sense no magical effect.
you are not under any influence. its merely her voice that is so soothing, causing this feeling. you are not under any compulsion to do as she says. you don't have to if you don't want to, there will be no ill effects

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybs had already taken the music and doodles out, avoiding reading the medical charts.
He hands them back to her.
"I was going to." He smiles to her.
"Asha, do you want to stay and get that looked at, or are you OK?"
He tucks the papers under his arm.
The hedgehog on top of his head yawns silently.

Raelle del Sol |

"well yeah, for all intents and purposes, we're kids, no one's going to judge us if we break down a bit, given what we've been through, but that doesn't make it any more productive, when I first left, I rebelled against my parents, the universe even, slept around when I shouldn't have, partied a bit to hard, it was easy and it got my mind off the unfairness for a while, moreover it was easy, still is come to think of it, but on the other foot it got me, Carl and Hermes, in trouble on more than one occasion... more than 5, really, though that one with the green dude that looked like a chick was entirely Carl's fault,"
She laughed. It was a bit forced and brittle, but still. "Yeah, that sounds like a story you'll have to tell me more of some day."
"I just can't help wondering if there wasn't more we could have done... I know that's not entirely logical....but I keep wondering if there was anything I could have done differently....."
She looked out the window and watched the disappearing sun. "My dad said it came down to a choice between saving the place and saving the people."

Kitty Tanaka |

Kitty Tanaka wrote:"Unless you when by getting in first. Maybe give you a little head start shove?" He teases.Kitty looked out at the lake. It was still just as pretty as she remembered it.
"Well...it wasn't much of a race, but at least we got here." ^.^
"What happened to not going swimming this time?" she asked, smiling and shaking her head....and then Saffire dived down towards the water, intent on catching a fish. She grabbed at him as he dove, trying to catch him, but he was too fast and he slipped through her hands. She ended up dangling from the branch by her tail.
"Saffire! You get back here this instant! That fish is bigger than you are...and you're not that good at swimming yet!"

"it was totally Carl's fault, I tell ya. but if it'll get you to laugh again, I just might tell you a bit of it next time you're down. anyway, unless you can go back in time, or otherwise plan on repeating this series of events you shouldn't dwell on it, after the events play out you'll find whole committees of people telling you how you should have done something or other, me personally, I'd either shrink it down, or store it in a convenient demiplane somewhere, at the very least take it apart and salvage it into something else, seems like a waste to just blow it up, though admitably it's oddly satisfying"

Bradley Urquardht |

Again, Rena felt as though she'd been struck by Bradley's words, though she tried to remind herself that Bradley was a lot calmer than most people who saw her form. She shook her head slightly, and tries to put on a brave face and joking manner. "Why? Do you taste good?" comes the voice of the girl who had licked Bradley's cheek earlier that day. "It's me, Rena. I promise I won't eat you even if you do taste good." she said after a moment and realized if Bradley was really scared he might miss the joke.Relieved though that he had opened his eyes, Rena slides the other slobbery potion toward Bradley across the bed. "You should drink this if you are still feeling sore." she says quietly, trying her best to suppress her desire to nuzzle him or otherwise show affection just in case it would scare him.
"R-Rena?" Bradley's face showed a mix of emotions, most of them confusion. "W-why are you a...a....what you are now?" he finished lamely. "Is this a dream?" he added suspiciously. "Because weird stuff happens in dreams all the time and that would totally make sense....especially after I hit my head falling down the stairs....."

"A mutation? Really? How small? Not too small?" Asha asked eagerly, practically bouncing up and down with excitement. "Can I see? Wait, I don't understand how to read all that stuff...umm....can you send a copy to my parents? If they find out I have a genetic mutation, they won't want me anymore," she said grinning. "I won't ever have to worry about them trying to steal me back anymore. They're totally going to disown me!" she added with a squeal of excitement and, unable to contain her happiness any longer, she hugged Tryko'Sam.

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt takes an odd expression at Asha's apparent delight at being possibly disowned.
That was always one of the things he had dreaded happening.
As messed up as his dad was, he was still family...
He doesn't say anything.

Julie smiles at Asha's excitement. but that quickly turns to a frown at the mention of being disowned.
I am sorry, I really should not ask this, but please, Why do you wish such a thing?
Julie backs up a step or so afraid to intervene more than she already has. but she is curious. and Nala's trust in her has given her a touch of courage. Before Julie never would have dreamed of asking or prying.

Julie listen to Asha's explanation...
"Because then they won't try to force me to go back....I don't want to be locked up again. And I don't want Embre to hit me anymore. And I really don't want to be forced to breed with whatever awful person they force on me. But if they know I don't measure up to their standards of racial purity, then they won't want me anymore. Which is just wonderful!"

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt understands the situation more now and has moved on to imagining a birthday card with "Congratulations, it's a mutant!" Written on it....
"How are you going to tell them without putting yourself in danger? What if they want to do more than just that when they find out?..."
As much as he hates to play the devil's advocate, it's probably important to consider for her safety....

DM of the coins |

Julie merely sighs. she is not familiar with this whole situation enough to render any kind of sound advice.
looking to Mr. Baneko I believe that your friend is right. But please humor me one more time, and I ask you to carefully ponder this before giving an answer.
Julie takes a deep breath attempting calm her nervousness.
You are hoping that they will not want you anymore, But I ask you, Do you still want them? Please think hard before answering, think back in your past, recall all your memories, good and bad. answering this question may help you in knowing who you are, and what you really want.
Julie gives Asha a bit of time to think over her answer. trying to prevent a quick and rash answer based purely on emotion.

Tryko'Sam |

"Seems like you have the upper hand now, Asha."
Tryko'Sam smiles at the hug and returns it as well, but not clingy. "If nothing else though, just be careful- you might be hated and odd fear stuff, if word gets out. People dislike mutants, I've noticed. Not me though, everyone judged by their individual merits is my motto."
Glancing around, he looks out the door and then back at the others.
"Guess we're done?"

Vickory
Sense Motive vs. Bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
So very close Vickory, good attempt nonetheless.
Vickory's attempt at diplomacy does give her attacker momentary pause, before a twisted smile crosses the face of the side closer to Vickory. And then in response he utters a word, laced in darkness and evil.
Hearing this word causes Vickory to make a Fortitude save or take 2d3 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2 Charisma drain, (in the highly unlikely event that Vickory speaks Dark Speech, she is immune to this).
After the piercing and twisting word is uttered, the N'gathau's unnatural smile only seems to intensify. "Yes, I know the place very well. Are you offering yourself as a subject? It is very rare that mortals offer themselves to the delicious ecstacy of pain." It seems that Vickory has at least managed to stall her opponent for the moment, except for that single uttered word that still seemed to twist in her psyche, as he waits for her response.
Sadie & Anahita
While fighting Sadie was frustrating, this new cotton-dressed girl who had cast a neutralizing spell seemed to the axe-wielding and bloodied N'gathau a much easier target than the blade-armed and force field-wielding girl. The pain of his wounds was glorious, and he wanted only to share that ecstacy with the mortals here. Between the sword blows and the burst of shrapnel which had caught him, the N'gathau is barely capable of standing.
Despite his severe wounds, the N'gathau darts quickly to Anahita and reaches out to her with a bloodied hand, seemingly intent on spreading his poisonous blood onto the Keleshite.
Grapple attempt vs. Anahita (this will provoke from both Sadie, and Anahita if she has a weapon (or natural attack) available for attacking: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (1) + 27 = 28
The wounded N'gathau is stumbles slightly as he reaches for Anahita, making it very easy for the Keleshite to sidestep his grasp.
Yrrin
Yrrin and the hammer-handed N'gathau continue to battle, neither has yet to strike a telling blow, and Yrrin has yet to call on the holy powers available to him to drive the Outsider to his knees...
Phaezeriel's burst of shrapnel has weakened the Hammer-handed one though, since he is slow and wasn't able to dodge the blast.
Vai
The archer is confused at best. It wasn't /pain/ he was experiencing, it was as though his insides had revolted against him, unable to do anything but stagger around and vomit, the ionizing radiation of Vai's blast making him feel sicker and sicker as his body tried to adjust...

"Hang on a sec, Tyrrin....."
After a long pause.
"That was Nala. I'm just going to play you a recording of what she said so I don't forget any of the details. You can contact her directly if you have questions....I need to find a way to synthesize enough nanites fast enough...."
"I see." Tyrrin responds to the new of Ehos' and Jaiye's safety with relief. She really should've gone to see them earlier.
"Understood." Tyrrin says after listening to the recording. At least /some/ of her hypotheses had proven somewhat correct - specifically about the anti-magic field. The main problem though, was that they couldn't cure the virus while it was in the anti-magic field. She knew enough about bending to know that an anti-magic field stopped it.
"Ms. Zamarosok." she says, opening a direct channel to Nala. "I believe you may be overlooking something that we've noticed out here - the virus appears to have some kind of hive-mind-like effect. The infected act in concert. It's not just that they are violent - their violence is targeted and has intelligence behind it."
"And Professor Sunwake... if you need to cannibalize my telescope for electronics or other parts, then do it. If you don't have a way to quickly synthesize the nanites we need, it will not end well for us."

Ehos Denulia |

Ace thinks over their options a bit "Hmm, Ryleh, was she one of the people who helped me with my attic friend? If so, she's not so scary. I think she might be the best to help us. The headmaster has to got to have way too much going on right now to truly assist us. I can try to talk to her. Worst that happens is she says no, right?" He says, his characteristic optimism shining through.
'I think they worst that could happen when you interact with Professor Ryleh is that you burst into flame from the severity of her glare.' Ehos displays good-naturedly from his datapad, sure to include Silinrul and Tural in the conversation if he's able, and a smile on his face to indicate that he's joking.

"Well, I am a creature from the Plane of Dreams Bradley, so... maybe?" she tries to keep her voice light-hearted, but she was still a little worried about him. She nudged the droll-covered potion a little closer to him, just be sure. "But this is the real me." she says, and inches just a little closer to him where he is laying on the bed. Her head is down just slightly. "I'm not too scary am I?" she adds on, just a little selfishly considered Bradley's state.

Anahita deftly moves away from the grapple effort, then considers the creature intently as she does with her expression of outrage quickly shifting to one of focused intent appropriate for battle.
"I believe you have made the wrong choice, just now, creature. Make peace with any Makers you hold dear. I do believe you are not long for this existence."
Just waiting on new round, no AoO response from Anahita.

Tryko'Sam |

"Everyone hear seems OK with it. I mean, you guys don't look any different than regular people..."
"Well, where I come from, and obviously it's not the realm of demon possessing, catman walking, talking and teleporting, girls with angelic looks who are companions to wizards, mutants were just feared and hated due to the use of that word. I'm sure there's an equivilant stereotype in the place people can get their pitch forking selves on about here, not just based on looks. Basically, be careful who you blab personal medical info too- might bite you in that lovely ass, Asha. Especially your folks, who seem purity of blood types."
He gives a little shrug, smiling at Asha standing near him. He might sound gloom and doom, but he doesn't seem too worried.
"Let's blow this popcorn stand, our work here is done, right? Got the rest of the day to spend doing something."
He makes for the door, looks back towards the nurse saying, "Thanks for the help, Miss Ratchet," flashing her a charming grin. Obviously, Tryko'Sam is eager to get out of the medical room.

"Ace" |

Ace shrugs nonchalantly "Wouldn't be the firs time I've burst into flames, likely wouldn't be the last. I'll talk to her tomorrow though. Its a little late, and I don't want to be rude and bother her at night"

The young man hops off his rock, sword in hand "An evil demon you say? I loath such creatures. Please, allow me to come help you aid your friends, if they are battling more"

I don't think he said he would do such, (can't remember for sure though) and without being told such I wouldn't have any way of knowing from my position keeping the frozen people frozen, but given that as far as we know that once they go all rage zombie, they're pretty much dead, and their bodies just don't know it yet, so Dave would find it a grim practicality to do such, now then, as far as blasting anyone else it's a bit more complicated, morally speaking, but either way, Dave doesn't know

He smirked at that.

"Thank you very much for helping us."
He goes out of the infirmary with Tryko'sam and Asha.
"I need to take these papers to Melody. You guys can come if you want, or not if you want to do something else. I don't know if delivering papers is going to be the fun thing you're looking for."
There are just so many questions Tybalt has wanted to ask Tryko about the things he says, at this point he is fine with just not knowing...

Almost as if her words were a trigger, there is a beeping coming from the stasis monitors. The monitor that is beeping is reporting unusual activity from inside the stasis field, and the numbers representing active cells are climbing steadily. The only possible explanation is that the virus has finally figured a way to modify the girl's bone marrow to produce stasis resistant viruses. With a swift calculation, Nala adjusts the modulation on the stasis field and the numbers suddenly drop nearly to zero.

Does anyone else in that group have anything to say about this?
remove the acton. Please. I don't know what I'm doing- having problems keeping up, don't even know what the plan is anymore. I did mean any infected, though, not innocent townspeople.

Agarthian Storyteller |

The snake blinks at Pyry and a minute or two later, Hermes arrives and opens the door.
"Apologies. I would have arrived sooner if I was able. The teleportation room does not work with the ship moving at this speed. Have you stayed long enough to recover from lasting damage?"
"I.. I thinks so." He stands slowly, heading for the door.

Tryko'Sam |

Tybalt does a short bow at the waist towards Nurse Julie.
"Why not just do that quicky teleport thing? You could 'magically'," he says with quotes around the word with fingers, "make them appear in her hands and build up the suspense of 'who dunnit?'."
Grinning after saying that, Tryko'Sam shrugs and adds, "If this is the same girl I ran into on my first arrival, I'll pass. Too much drama there, first impression. Plus, I've heard through gossiping students in the hallways-- something about a murderous boyfriend, or psycho. Watch yourself."
Looking around, he looks back at Asha and Tybalt and says, "I suppose maybe getting some new clothing might be helpful-- to fill out the coming week. Maybe learn how laundry is done. I wouldn't mind finding some kind of gainful employment to have spending cash. Last thing I'd want to get hit up with some kind of student payment after the fact, unless this place really is completely free? How's that even work out? Kinda curious about the history and purpose. One of the classes is for that, or just the history of the planet?"
Tryko'Sam doesn't appear interested in joining in the paper delivery, but he does seem open to more hanging out and what not, seeming to approve of the company he's with.

Tybalt Baneko |

"I kinda want to talk with her for a while, since she was in the infirmary and stuff, see how she's doing."
He is folding one of the papers into a shape.
"That doesn't sound like Renkai to me. I mean, he is scary good with a gun, but I don't think he would try to hurt anyone. He seemed like a nice guy..."
He listens more as he folds the paper.
"I can do clothes, but laundry is not me. I just do it the magic way. The history class is like world history. I'm off world, so it's required. If you want a job, I had considered buying an empty store I saw in town. If you know anything about building or running a cash register, I could probably use some help."

Midori Tsuyomi |

meanwhile in the back of the saddle...
Midori is holding onto Lang. her grip tightening during the sudden maneuver. Lang places his hand over Midori's as she holds on.though he says nothing he seems warmer that before. his touch gentle and reassuring.
Lang simply smiles letting her know everything is alright.
Midori returns the smile somewhat sheepishly and loosens her grip slightly. She says nothing, stoic as they fly along towards the camp.

Sadie & Anahita

Before Anahita is able to carry through with her threat, Sadie's expert bladesmanship cuts their foe down, and he falls, dead. His poisonous blood pours out of his body onto the stone floor of the cavern.
Across the cave, the ghostly girl seemingly attached to the dark machine stirs noiselessly, her undead and supposedly incorporeal form seemingly trapped within the confines of the machine's dark clutches.
New round has begun for anyone still waiting on me

Rena, the Companion |

[blink, blink]
"Oh," he said, disappointed and trying unsuccessfully to hide it. For a little bit he'd thought a beautiful girl might actually be interested in him.....it figures she'd turn out to be a giant snake creature.
"Ummm....I....I think that the teeth take some getting used to....but your wings are still real pretty," he said, trying to be brave and not unkind....it was just hard.
Rena's eyes fall, and she tucks her head down a bit, sensing Bradley's disappointment but perhaps not quite understanding why. "I'll... I'll try not to show you my teeth." she answered quietly, unsure how to act now, though she unconsciously flapped her wings when he mentioned them. At least Bradley was being honest with her, and not trying to hide his fear. "I... there's another healing potion there, if you're still sore." she added, trying to keep the slight tremble out of her silken voice. For some reason, she had thought he would've been overjoyed with her true form, but time and again her appearance had only brought fear to those whom she wanted to befriend. She should ask Vare tonight to change her back into a humanoid. It would be better for everyone.

Voice of Awesomeness |

The young man leads the two companions through the cave, and into the large cavern where the battle rages. He surveys the scene, taking note of the positions of each of the combatants. He unslings his bow, and nocks an arrow, waiting for the best moment to strike.
Hope its alright to move the three of us forward.
