::It had become synonomous with the idea of firebird racial superiority....in order to move forward they decided they had to let go of the things of the past that were holding them back. At least, that's how it was explained to me. I think you'd have to be a firebird to really understand all the political complexities that went into the decision.::

Fieri stood and watched the 'eclipse' happen, tears falling down her face. It was a necessary change, but there was a part of her that couldn't help but mourn for the loss of her home. Even though she'd already lost it long before this.

Ardiente had rushed along just behind Fieri as they returned in the nick of time. He watches quietly as they view something that hadn't happened on Agartha ever before - a solar eclipse.

He felt torn-in-two. Part of him was glad the symbol of all the tyranny and decline of the Firebirds was gone... yet another part of him cried out at the destruction of something so beautiful. The destruction of what had been his home.

Further, there was a knawing pit in his stomach as the memory of Villem re-surfaced in his mind, as well as some of the other Firebirds he had visited in the past few days. All of this muddled his mind further, and unsure what else to do, he simply turns to Fieri and scoops her into a tight hug, his eyes threatening tears but not delivering.

"I hope we've done right by our people." he whispers, partly to himself and partly to Fieri. What isn't clear is if he's speaking of the destruction of the Sun or their project the last few days.

Lang sat therre, admiring the sunset, the sunset he had watched so many times in the past. a chance to meditate and reflect on the day.

then Ephebe's message... It hit him, and his smile faded, realizing what he said.

How could I...its no wonder...

Lang looked to the sachel of scrolls Sorchan gave him, recovered from the fire temple hidden on that sun.

maybe the real answers are there

::Funny really, I was there to (well sort of) to create that sun, now I sit and watch as it is is destroyed, I only wish I could have done more. But there are more Firebirds out there, I met them. I have to find them again.::

(lang is trying to communicate back to Ephebe but he may have broadcast to everyone)

a tear falls down his cheek as the firebird sun goes away

for Sara, Midori, and probably Ephebe:

I'm sorry Ignace, I wish I could have done more. he whispers softly though not directed at anyone you can hear his words.

Grimly, Tyrrin opened her eyes after finishing the telepathic conversation with her Mother. They had a goal now, at least. Kuros was wounded, but would recover... all of Agartha was threatened though. She turned to the others.

"The is only one loose end. A train left Kuros earlier today - an express train, which means it will not stop until it reaches it's destination, which it has yet to. Effectively, we need to get on board the train and deploy the curative nanites, and survive long enough for them to work. If we allow the infected aboard that train to arrive at their destination, it is likely we will not be able to contain the spread of the infection."

A little unsure of herself in that moment, with Bradley shaking in the midst of her coils, Rena tenatively nuzzles Bradley, curling back into him as she's able. "Bradley... what can I do to help?" she asks gently, soothingly. "Please." she adds, nuzzling him again gently.

"I can teleport us there. My Mother has given me an image of the train." Tyrrin replies crisply, most of her spells having worn off long ago during the clean-up of Kuros.

Midori had been watching the sunset wistfully - an orange shine on her golden skin - though there is still an arm around Lang. When Ephebe broadcasts as she does, Midori breaks from looking at the sunset, giving Lang a little squeeze as he bows his head, trying to be comforting.

"You've done plenty, Lang-kun. Ignace-chan will remember that in time, I promise." Midori whispers back, still holding on to Lang form her seat behind him on Simba's back.

"Let's go then." Professor Yrrum replies, pulling a broken chair leg out of his arm, the results of a luckily shot by one of the infected.

"Tyrrin, I have a batch of nanites for your team to take with you to neutralize the virus's infectious capabilities once you catch up with the train. I sent Dennis with it. Fieri couldn't help herself. Her tears just kept coming faster and faster. She was sobbing too hard to answer him by the time he spoke. It wasn't just the loss of the sun. She knew her grandfather was a terrible person. She knew it. But she had loved him. Yes, it was all based on lies, but did that really wipe away her whole childhood? And now he was gone forever. And he deserved it, she knew that. He didn't deserve tears. But she needed them. She hurt and she needed to mourn. Her home was gone. Half of her family was gone. And she couldn't keep all of that bottled up anymore whether it was okay or not.

Having read through the orientation packet and inspected her classroom, Nanami decided to head to the cafeteria for some dinner. On the way she saw a very angry young man attacking a wall. She tilted her head and studied him for a moment before stepping forward.

"Gomen-ne, but may I ask what the wall has done to offend you so?" she asked in a soft, polite tone, eyes twinkling with amusement.

Hardly paying attention, the young man almost walked right by the girl that had spoken to him, yet he caught just the briefest of glimpses of her, and he came back to his senses, realizing that there was potential that she could lead him to the warrior he then sought after.

"Huhn?" he grunted at her, not sure just what she said at first. "Pounding the wall makes noise, noise makes people pay attention," he explained. "You came, so it works. Now I need you to take me to the warrior that goes by 'master of heads' so he can tell me what he knows and make me smarter." He then swished his head so that the bangs of his unkempt hair would get out of his eyes so that he could get a better look at the girl. In his mind, he remembered the wise words of one of the elders of his tribe: "Remember a face so it won't stab you later."

Nanami hid her mouth behind her hand as a small giggle escaped. She couldn't help herself. He was just so terribly clueless.

Kodjack saw before him a petite young woman dressed in a short robe tied around her waist with a very wide cloth belt and sandals. Her long black hair made a soft swishing sound as she moved and her delicate features were quite appealing. But most striking about her was the large curling horns that grew from her forehead.

"You wish to see the Headmaster? Certainly. Ah, gomen-ne," she said bowing slightly. "I have not introduced myself. You should call me Tanaka-sensei. I am the Physical Education teacher."

She reached out and touched the wall gently and an arrow appeared on the floor. "When you don't know where to go, think of what or who you're trying to find and touch the wall....gently works best. You really don't have to hit it. And then arrows will appear on the floor or wall and lead you where you need to go. If we follow this arrow it will take us to the Headmaster's office."

igni silently watches the sun go down. He twitches slightly, but never really cries. He didn't have much there. Little he really cared about. Still, it's hard watching all that time disappear, even if things would one better for it. Though, with it the memories of his training he never liked comes back, and he wonders why he feels sad at all.

As Melody plays the song, a little ways in, the sound of piano begins to fill in under the song.
If anyone looks over to the piano that has been resting in the corner, it seems to be playing itself, though a thin white film appears on the black keys, but gets swiped away when they're used.
There are origami figures on the top of the piano.

Having found someone that was actually willing to help him, the young man seemed to be in a better mood, even if he didn't understand half the words she said. "Sensei?" he repeated, not sure what to make of it. "What kind of birth name is that? Your tribe elder think you were gonna be one of those guys who fights without weapons or something?" Thinking a little too much about it, the young man almost forgot that was an introduction of names, and he had to respond in kind or be forgotten. "I am Kodjack Winterblow," he then said proudly, taking pride in his tribal name. "Fierce and cold as the winter storm."

A few more seconds of waiting, Kodjack then looked down at the floor to see the arrow, hardly listening to the explanation, but getting the gist of it. "Magic..." he said to himself under his breath before biting his tongue. He would just have to deal with it if he wanted to see the master of heads and get what he wanted. "So, just walk wherever this points?" he then asked, just to be certain. "You need to come with me for this to work?"

"Sensei is a title. It means one who teaches. Tanaka is my family name. And I assure you, I use weapons all the time...everything is a weapon when properly applied, Kodjack-kun. As Nanami walked away, Kodjack was caught up with what kind of title "sensei" stood for. It certainly wasn't an obvious one, like "Boarsmasher" or "Wool weaver," that was for sure. Perhaps it was just a word made up by her tribe to mean something for combat prowess or something.

His attempts at thinking were interrupted by Nanami, though, asking him if he was going with her. All he did was grunt in approval and nod before he started to walk alongside her. "Everything is a weapon," he then agreed with her to her previous statement, "but not all weapons are good. And sometimes, you need more than one weapon. I'm sure the master of heads knows this, though."

Rounding a corner in the hallway ahead comes a small being - a bleach-white gnome with stark red eyes is seen walking with a casual air. He looks to the pair (Nanami and Kodjack) curiously, with a slight look of recognition in his eyes when he looks at Nanami. He moves quickly to the side, allowing the bigger folk to pass by, and in fact bows ever so slightly to the female among the two. No older than a teenager of his race, the gnome's albino colouration clashes with his choice of dark-as-night clothing. He holds his bow until Nanami passes by, not saying a word, demonstrating respect. If she stops, he will look up from his bow and smile charmingly.

"Words are meaningless in combat," Kodjack said in response to that particular suggestion. "Words do not shed blood to wear as trophies." A simple grunt dismissed the rest of Nanami's words, varying too greatly from his tribe's teachings, which were superior to all other teachings of the tribes that fell before them.

His attention then turned to her question. "I am here to get smart enough to avenge my tribe," he told her, his voice as cold and serious as it could be. "I do not care about much else; my people's spirits must be put to rest through revenge so they may do battle in the great beyond." Memories seemed to surge through his mind as he spoke, his eyes looking towards the distance, yet focusing on nothing. He pulled himself out of it after a few seconds, then just said, "It must die."

It's about this time that, if anything about Nanami or anything that she has is arcane that she can feel, it's starting to seem to fade. It should also be mentioned that anything the merchants had that were arcane will either be drained, or less potent than desired, depending on strengths in the magic.

Nanami frowned a little after the passed the strange gnome. Something wasn't right there. He recognized her. But she'd never met him before....perhaps he was from one of the other shinobi clans? She would have to investigate. When she wasn't babysitting a large, but regrettably stupid, boy hellbent on revenge.

"You may not care now, but I think you might in the future. After all, you'll have a lot of life left to live after you get vengeance for your family. Also, my condolences for your loss."

She pulls away wiping tears from her eyes and nodded. And then stopped as if considering.

"No, I don't think it can wait for tomorrow," she said, looking suddenly determined. "Excuse me, Ardiente, but there's something I need to do. And this time you're not going to be able to help me...you're not exactly musically inclined," she added with an apologetic shrug.

And with that she took off back inside, nearly running as she looked for Taron and/or Kam.

Oh my.

Kamenwati us sitting in the hatchery, playing a song with the rather... inventive... use of a cello. The eggs all seem to love it.

"That's half? You really need to get out more, hun."

As the voice speaks, a furred person fades in from the tips of his ears to the end of his tail.
"I brought you some papers you left. They're a little more interesting now, but I didn't mess them up."
He pads over and hugs her quickly.
"How are you doing? Heard you got injured in the line of service."
He looks around at the other musicians.
"Who are your friends?"
He smiles to the people around.
He seems nice and there's just something about him that puts you at ease. Maybe it's the way he carries himself, maybe it's because he's a kitty. Hard to tell.

Mel smiles, It is nice to be with more friends.

she even tries to hug him a bit longer, but soon stops cold...cold....cold...

she rubs her hands together and quickly warms back up.

Yeah, I would get out more, but between, detentions, and getting shredded by exploding stuff, and getting incinerated on the sun and dying, and getting better. I just haven't had the time. she stops there a little smirk at her own joke not really expecting anyone else to understand.

Oh these are some more musicians here at the school, the drummer over there is Janie, and the violinist there is Cameron, and the dragon looking fellow is Kezzin. I really hope I got all your names right.

"Hi." Cameron says, waving his bow.

"Kam...Uh, hi. One, that was awesome and I totally want to learn more about your technique there. Two, I need your help," she said abruptly. Her eyes were red and she'd obviously been crying. "For a...sort of a concert. Not exactly a concert. I need you and Taron. And probably Pan too. But that's it. This isn't about bands. And it...it needs to be family. I'm planning to broadcast from the practice space in the basement. In the school and into the camp....Firebirds set practically everything to music and this is no exception. Tomorrow is for moving on and starting over, but tonight I mean to have a wake."

"Hi, kitty-guy," Janie says, waving a drumstick cheerfully.

Harsh, for a guy who has 4 ranks in Perform (String). ;D

Ardiente simply nods as she goes off. "Be safe."

Alone for the first time in several days, Ardiente stops to think. He wanted to see Raelle, he knew that much. He could feel sleep clawing at him though, the seductive call of rest after so many days spent without.

Unsure if he wanted to go see Raelle right away or go to sleep, Ardiente simply stands on the green outside the school, watching the sun finish setting, the red in the sky matching the tone of his hair.
