GM Fireclaw |
Belsayv - Vanguard group
Belyu and Vickory's spells both fail, feeling as though they were actively resisted by the creature's inherent wards, but Vickory does catch a brief outline of the target as the fire diverts around his form - a grotesque and misshapen humanoid form by the looks of it.
(Un?)fortunately, her casual use of fire has set the small brush ablaze!
A pair of Yrrin's arrows sink deeply into flesh with a sickening *thuck*, while the others seem to bounce off either armour or natural armour of some kind.
This time it is a hail of arrows emerging from the brush towards the paladin, their assailant seemingly uncaring about the fact that he is standing in a burning bush! The flames and smoke are outlining his form though, swirling around the attacker and giving the group a slight advantage.
Effectively, count yourselves as having the double roll benefit of the Blind-Fight feat against this target, meaning you get to roll miss chance twice and take the better result. Your attackers AC is 38, with a touch AC of 19, please total your damage for me.
Hail of Arrows, all aimed at Yrrin (include your Smite bonus please, but still Flatfooted for a total of 33 AC):
Manyshot: 1d20 + 29 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 29 - 2 = 32
Attack 2: 1d20 + 29 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 29 - 2 = 32
Attack 3: 1d20 + 24 - 2 ⇒ (20) + 24 - 2 = 42 (1d8 + 11 + 8d6 + 2d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 11 + (1, 4, 5, 6, 5, 4, 5, 2) + (3, 6) + (3) = 59)
Attack 4: 1d20 + 19 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 19 - 2 = 32
Attack 3 confirm: 1d20 + 24 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 24 - 2 = 37
Bonus Damage: (2d8 + 22 ⇒ (1, 3) + 22 = 26)
With that hit, Yrrin is now bleeding at 16/round.
The attacker is clearing a master of picking out weak points in various creatures, striking Yrrin's vitals with another arrow! He does not appear to move out of the burning brush whatsoever.
Vai Sunwake |
::Those capable of getting there more quickly should do so. We'll catch up as quickly as we can,:: Sadie said, breaking into a run, knowing that Adon couldn't be teleported there even if someone did have that magic available and not willing to leave a team member alone. ::Adon, keep up with me. We're already more split up than we should be.::
Vai nods, jumping up using her wings, and then teleporting up into the air to get a better view of the hill... the hill with the rock on it. The rock where she... focus Vai. Deep breaths. Now isn't the time for that. Yrrin and Belyu need help.
Steel flashes into the dragon girl's hand, and she pinpoints Yrrin and Belyu's forms... as well as a rising column of smoke, and with a flash, Vai arrives on the battlefield next to Belyu, weapon drawn and her wings carrying her in short movements as Vai assess the situation...
All her actions for this round.
Vare, the Summoner |
Royston nods and surmises the robed man must be a member of staff! taking into a lint his age and actions.
"My name is Royston I'm the new fire and energy arms teacher, I hope you don't object to me tagging along. This would be an excellent opportunity for me to observe the safety procedures of the school Professor."He falls in with the group but keeps out of the way wile doing so, only observing.
Vare was about to reply when he was violently jerked after Aananda as the Conjuration Professor is dragged along in the Dragon's wake...
Looking at Tryko'Sam's state without seeming to actually see it, Vare feels a pang of guilt. He should've been better. If he had, they wouldn't have needed such drastic measures. Vare's Detect Magic scans over Tryko'Sam for any currently active effects, just to be sure.
While Vare is scanning, Rena - who has been looking increasingly uncomfortable with her friend and lover's complete immobilization, glancing between Vare and Tryko'Sam, twisting her braid with her hands, seeming unaware that she had some guts from the bugman on her arms from when she had broken the one in half.
"It's not right!" Rena suddenly shouts passionately, looking at Tryko'Sam. "This isn't right Vare! He shouldn't be bound up like that! I would hate that! Isn't there some other way he can be... I dunno. Tryko'Sam, is there some way we can turn off your portals? An anti-magic field maybe?" Rena says seeming almost half-panicked, clausterphobic for the sake of Tryko'Sam, maybe just an overactive imagination projecting onto his situation.
Vare snaps his fingers, hearing Rena speak her idea. "Yes of course! It /must/ be some kind of magic, which we have yet to encounter. An anti-magic field ought to suppress both it, and any lingering enchantments."
He pauses for a moment and looks up at the ceiling. "Er... Sim Room, enact an anti-magic field in this room and contact Professor Aananda to disable her security system around Tryko'Sam."
Repp, the Bleached |
Repp bows to Kitty respectfully, keeping his tone quiet in the wake of the recent ceremony. "Perhaps it would be best if I excused myself and left you to grieve. Please, if any of you need anything of me in these trying days, do not hesitate to ask." the bleach-white gnome says somberly, his eyes turned down in his own version of sorrow.
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys |
Lim-Môr has taken to standing near Reviarti again, not having an idea of what to do.
"I don't want to be devil's advocate, but, I know it's uncomfortable, but it's for his safety and everyone else's too. Ms.Jones should be here really soon to get this worked out, and then he can go and move as much as he wants. We don't know if what he is affected by is even magic, what if he was just hypnotized the mundane way? This, isn't my call, but, two coppers..."
He seems constantly unsure of himself, not having a bright plan to be confident about now... he seems to be in a demeanor that one might call 'being a hand wringer,' although he isn't making that motion. His hands are woven together in front of him, having returned the trident to a switchblade and then his pocket.
Yrrin Lightbringer |
AC: 36
Yrrin's bleeding hasn't increased because of his pious blessing
::Phaezeriel please redirect health to me...:: his mental voice is exhausted...
And his armored body moves foreward as he fires a single arrow
1d20 + 16 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 16 + 9 = 37
1d8 + 11 + 16 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 11 + 16 + (5) = 33
The d6 is cold damage
Phaezeriel |
Yrrin's bleeding hasn't increased because of his pious blessing
::Phaezeriel please redirect health to me...:: his mental voice is exhausted...
::Of course.::Phaezeriel swoops low over the group who have not gone to the fighting, and with a brief effort of will, sends a pulse of healing energy to Yrrin.
Manifest Heal Injuries augmented to 210 HP. If that is more than enough to heal Yrrin fully, he will direct the remainder to anyone else who is hurt.
Also, when we are in combat, please put a couple of lines in your posts similar to the following (if they apply):
Current Damage: 48
Regeneration: 10
Grammaton Cleric Royston |
He pauses for a moment and looks up at the ceiling. "Er... Sim Room, enact an anti-magic field in this room...
1d20 + 33 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 33 + 10 = 46
Tryko'Sam |
Vare's Detect Magic reveals only the lingering aura of conjuration and divination magic in use in the room. If there are any other magics viewable by the one perpetually seeing into the Dream, the sight of these new people (Asha, Lim-Mor, Reviarti and Royston) might also obscure any subtle glows with their own glows.
The jungle scene from Reviarti's Scrying interface shows the two bug men pounce on the restored to life bugman that Rena slammed earlier, in the few moments since their departure. Still no screams or cries, just silent violence as bugman is torn up by its peers in much the same violence from earlier.
At Professor Vare's request, the SIM Room 6 is filled by an anti-magic field, effectively shutting off all active spells, items and supernatural abilities for those in it, regardless of their status or power.
The room stops displaying the Scrying effect at this point. Blank walls, very sterile.
The computer's voice emotionlessly states, "Anti-Magic field erected. Awaiting approval for release."
The request is put forth to Aanandarevekki, but Tryko'Sam remains held for now, the translucent material still formed around him.
I'm fairly certain no supernatural abilities or items operate at this point in the SIM Room, but I don't know the strength of the field, technically- Epic or what have you. Lynora can speak to that. Let's just assume it is that strong. Rolls without labels really don't help, so not sure what to do with that Royston.
Tryko'Sam remains immobilized, not paying attention to anyone as before, his attention clearly elsewhere while he continues to look straight ahead. If the telepathy is active for his use, it may not be in use, or blocked now due to the field Vare requested.
Other than the noise being made by the room's occupants, it is rather quiet overall.
Grim Jr. |
Grim Jr. wrote:"I trusted her. Do you know how are that is for me to do? Ever since I can remember people have tried to get close to Hew so they could torture us, in the name of discovery. I thought here I could allow someone to be close to us, that wouldn't hurt us. I guess I was wrong." She tell Grim with tears rolling down her cheeks. He cloths were caked in mud from the ground allowing her some modesty.Zilla wrote:"maybe she was afraid of hurting him?" he pauses "look I like her too, feels a little like my heart's being wrenched out with a spoon, but I'm not the one on the ground crying, stuff happens,"Grim Jr. wrote:"I'm pretty sure they were just playing in the mud.... lang likes ignace right?... and did she ever say she liked hew to begin with?"Quickly Zilla turns to face Grim. "Lang is hurt right now it would be easier now to come in, be the sympathetic person and get him to feel a connection. Paying in the mud I saw there hand prints all over each other. I might not of seen them kiss but there was plenty of close contact that it was the next step if not." Zilla only shakes her head slightly as if Grim wasn't getting it. "She also lead him on and never just told him she wasn't interested. Sure I wouldn't have minded if it was anyone else, but it's Hew and she knows he's my only family."
just sits there quiet for a minute or two "I don't know what to tell you.... I don't think there really is any one answer to this... I'm sorry, and for what it's worth I think midori is too"
Tybalt Baneko |
"Ooh, Hon, that was in the Ifrit section... you're probably gonna regret that one..."
He stops eating for a moment, concerned...
He's finished the fish and has moved on to the other tray with various deserts on it. One of which is a chocolate covered fish.

"My mouth...." he says as his tongue goes numb...
The six legged Kitty bounces from tybalts lap to the table to a chair to a lamp to a rafter.... "bleek"
Tybalt Baneko |
"That's uh. You need. Uh. Here!"
He hands you the cup he had with him.
"Milk neutralizes capzaciadin. The stuff that makes peppers hot."
This is a real thing.
He taps the cup and it defreezes, but is still really cold.
He hasn't noticed the cat leave. More important things and all that.
Treisdan Achdarach |
"Indeed. There isn't much negative about it, considering so far i understand each form perfectly. I still Remember how to swim from yesterday, much more effective then my old way of trying that, and should help to a degree..."
You were a mermaid... so...Even if you lost your tail... you grew to swim better even though you lost what you only had for a while..." treisdan shakes his boggled head

"Mhhhhmffftttt..." he starts gulping the milk
Miss Jones |
Lim-Mor's summoned creature finds Miss Jones with a small entourage - an elf and a pair of lycans - almost having reached the rooftop where they were told to go.
Miss Jones did not react to the message at all except by changing direction and walking hurriedly towards the SIM rooms, her sensible shoes clicking against the stone floors as she walked. She seemed quite unconcerned about whether the others were able to keep up or not.
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys |
Lim-Môr stands with one arm straight down at his side and the other holding his elbow, an uncomfortable expression on his face.
Aanandareavekki |
Vare snaps his fingers, hearing Rena speak her idea. "Yes of course! It /must/ be some kind of magic, which we have yet to encounter. An anti-magic field ought to suppress both it, and any lingering enchantments."
He pauses for a moment and looks up at the ceiling. "Er... Sim Room, enact an anti-magic field in this room...
Aananda's voice comes over the speakers in the room.
"Vare, take down the anti-magic field. I'm not taking down the restraints. We'd have to put them back and take down the field anyways when Miss Jones arrives to help, and security feed shows she's on her way. I know it's uncomfortable for him, but it's only for another couple minutes max. He can handle it for that long."
Meanwhile Aananda was running diagnostics on the separate program in SIM room three, trying to figure out what it was and how it got here.
Kitty Tanaka |
Repp bows to Kitty respectfully, keeping his tone quiet in the wake of the recent ceremony. "Perhaps it would be best if I excused myself and left you to grieve. "Thank you, Repparyn-san," Kitty said in a teary voice.

"How about I walk you to the teleport room, then? You and Michael can go take some time away from all of this like you'd planned."
Lim-Môr Azair'vialys |
"Maybe we should just wait for Ms.Jones to be here? Just in case...."
"Ace" |
Ace sits quietly, waiting for Nala to arrive and check him out.
Genosuke |
Makes note of the nurse's arrival and departure, but says nothing.
"While I enjoyed our discussion of the origins of magic, I must return to my quarters to work on class plans. Than you both, Professors."
He nod-bows to everyone in the teacher's lounge, then makes his way to his room.

Have a nice day" he says tipping his monocle
Belyu Shardae |
Belyu points and starts a chant that ends with a guttural shout, creating a shockwave of sound that strikes the invisible creature.
Belyu casts Ki Shout requiring a DC 28 fort save to reduce damage by half and not be staggered
SR check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29
Sonic Damage: 16d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 1, 4, 5, 1, 6, 3, 5, 2, 1, 1, 4, 4, 4) = 51
Tybalt Baneko |
"What do you have against the infirmary?"
He taps your mouth with his paw and it feels very cold, not frozen, but cold.
"Any better?"
Tybalt Baneko |
"Please just let them give you something. You don't have to stay... I can take us there and back and be done in under a minute... I could just get you something."
He's growing increasingly concerned for him...
"Grunt for us both going. Don't for me just going to get it."
You may notice that this set of options doesn't not give one to go untreated.

He reaches into the hat on the table shoulder deep and pulls out a pen and paper. He sets it on the table assuming you'll know what to do with it.
