Fei watches the departure of the other kitsune (and Anahita, with a grateful nod), and Genosuke's exit with Keme and Ryuzo.
"Yes we will...there will be another dawn," he answers, his conviction matching her own. "I will stand vigil over him Vai - you need to rest, especially after what just happened."
He stands, gently pulling her up with him...
They walk over to Ace's seated form. The young monk risks a light hand on his shoulder.
"Come...he is free now. That is not something to grieve. Let us greet him at the rise of a new day, and hope he chooses to return to us."
From Vai, Ace can detect a sense of grief and defiance, but also a scene which is apparently playing through her head repeatedly: It is apparently a scene in what looks like a typical dorm room in Avalon. The room is an utter mess. Completely destroyed. Keme is there, and Vai, and a girl whom Ace has never met. Ace gets the name 'Nasima' from her thoughts. Vai and Keme appear to be arguing during the scene... yet at the end... there is a realization from Vai, and a sudden recognition of friendship for Keme.
"I told you Fei, I'm not resting until you do. There's still alot I can help with at the school." The Champion of Light says stubbornly, though Fei can tell just by the amount of weight he is supporting from her that fighting Lumos' control took alot of her strength. Still, she seems resolute, in mind if not in body.
"Let's not Hope he returns to us Fei. I know he will. Keme's too stubborn to stay dead for long anyway. He will be back."
Ace gets a sense of cold calculation, heartless, emotionless.... Plotting....
So he's Confused. Not gonna have it last more than 1 round however.
Suddenly, Ace jumps up, and whacks himself in the head with his staff. , causing a small gash to open on his forehead.
"SHUT UP!! SHUT UP!! SHUUUT UP!!!" He yells, clutching his head.
Genosuke walks all they way back to the school, and arrives at the remade infirmary. He gently lays Keme's body on a gurney, and casts gentle repose on him. He gives him one last look, and a kiss on the forehead, then informs the staff that his body is there. When Genosuke leaves to go find Nala or other staff, Ryuzo steps up and looks over the body, looking for any sign that Hope has let him go.
Nala is still there, still trying to keep some order in this chaos. She really hadn't appreciated just how much work Bertha did to keep the staff from falling apart. Honestly, she was a bit exasperated with just how fragile these healers seemed to be.
When Genosuke approaches her though she seems quite calm.
"Keme is gone? Alright, well, would you rather we try to bring him back tonight? I would have to send for someone I think. Most who are capable of such magics have already used theirs for the day. We can wait until morning if you would prefer," she said respectfully, trying to be as understanding of the old kitsune's grief as possible.
Despite all that had happened that day, Vai is still able to act decisively, steel flashing into her hand when Ace begins to beat himself. She slides her rapier in and attempts to bat away Ace's weapon with all the grace Sadie has taught her.
Ace's staff flies outta his hand and lands with a clunk a few feet away "Vai, I can hear you, hear you all!. You and Fei, and Ryuzo, and Krays and others, whose names I don't know, its all so loud!" The young man is clearly quite upset, not really knowing what's going on.
"Ace! Just focus! Focus on the sound of my voice alright? I'll just keep talking and just listen to me alright?" Vai says, glancing worriedly at Fei, but bending down in front of her friend and looking him in the eye. "Ace, can you tell me what we did this morning? Focus on that, and on what I'm saying."
Ace tries to do what Vai says, but its difficult, as he's never heard more than one, two, maybe three peoples' thoughts at once.
"Uh...this morning...hmmm...Demon Attack? Right? I think? Then, ugh...there was ...umm...an attack on the school." He keeps talking, haltingly at first, but over the course of a few minutes, he finally seems to fully focus and is speaking more coherently.
"I think I need to go find Ginni. She should be able to help, just in case this happens again"
With that he gets up, grabs up his staff after a brief search, and uses it as support to start the walk back to school.
"Ace, stop. I can teleport us." With a hand on his and Fei's arm, and a few words of a spellcast, all three of them arrive back in the cafeteria-turned-infirmary, though most of the patients have been moved back to the now-restored infirmary.
"Alright, go find Ginni... just be careful, alright? Abilities flaring up in never fun... I know, trust me." With that, she turns back to Fei. Now that they are in better light, Vai definitely look bedraggled, and her draconic hunger growls audibly for food, but Vai pretends not to notice. "Alright, there's still lots to do. I'm gonna see if my Dad still needs help unloading supplies, and if not, I'm sure Mom will have something for me to do."
Ginni sighed. She'd finally managed to get Morrivan somewhat calmed down and then Sadie had finally found them. She had a bad feeling that wasn't going to end well. They just didn't seem to fit. But as usual she would stand back and let them figure that out for themselves. In the meantime Sadie was there for Morrivan now and better late than never.
She felt so tired as she headed back into the cafeteria. And then she saw Ace with blood dripping down his head. She rushed over.
"Ace! What happened?"

I also had a psychic overload, where I was hearing the thoughts of people here in the school, even though I was like two miles away. It was without a doubt one of the scariest and worst things I've ever experienced."

"No, young Miss, that won't be necessary. I merely wanted to tell you he was here. He's been magically preserved to prevent decay or becoming undead. He will definitely be alright for tonight, if not a few days. In other words: no rush. We apparently need to wait to make sure his patron has released him from service, before attempting to revive him anyway."
"That is no longer a concern Sensei. Hope has retrieved her mark of service. She has released him, if not found a new champion."

"The new infirmary is fine...it's the staff that's a crumbling mess," she said with a grimace. It was times like this that she really wished that she didn't have her issues with being touched. She could really use a hug right about now. Except without the panic attacks.
As the night wore on the school finally calmed as students and staff alike went to bed. Supplies finished being unloaded, the buildings continued to heal themselves. The infirmary was back up and running, albeit without the resources of magical healing it once had, the crafting lab was once more intact though in desperate need of restocking, Aananda's lab was like a blank canvas waiting for her to restore it, and the Materials and Supplies building no longer looked like it had been hit by a bomb, though it probably wouldn't be done healing until morning. The school was quiet and no one would guess that the building had been under attack such a short while ago.
The water of the lake rippled and a dragon emerged from it, shifting into a human woman after she stepped out onto dry land.
"Thank you, Sheesourussen. It was very educational. And I...had fun," she said with a still somewhat surprised smile.

Arthur sees Hermes at the desk. It's covered in bits and pieces of metal and cogs and the like.
"Good morning sir. I make the assumption that you slept well?"
He doesn't look up from his work, he doesn't really need to.
Lang wakes early. for morning meditations. leaving Sun in statue form in his room he glances over to see if Grim is still asleep.
He then quickly and as quiet as possible, tries to wash up before he heads outside without waking Grim.
Lang quickly writes a note on a piece of paper and folds it up, tucking it into his robe pocket A note for Master Ephebe, to be delivered on his way to breakfast
Once cleaned up Lang heads out to the lake to begin his morning meditations and watching the Sun rise.

Ehos did not pass a fitful night that night, and Jaiye might have recognized the symptoms - nightmares. Maybe it runs in the family. Ehos had tossed and turned all night, murmuring inaudibly and sweating. If awoken by Jaiye, Ehos claims to have no memory of the whatever his dreams were.
As such, Ehos doesn't wake early, unless by Jaiye's hand.
Wakes up after a bad night of nightmares, to the sounds of pilots once again gathering to usher people from the sun to Kuros. He grabs his gear, puts on his flight suit and grabs a bite to eat on his way to the shuttles...
Arriving back home safely once again, Ardiente notices the pre-dawn light outside the window of the school. He was a little hungry, but mostly worried about the girl at his side. "Raelle, you look exhausted. We should get some breakfast, but then you should go to bed. I'm used to not sleeping, so I should be alright, but you need rest."
Midori was of course up early, despite having stayed up quite late to finish Chara-chan's yukata... she hoped it was good, as she didn't ahve Ignace-chan or Cariban-san to help her. After bathing and changing into her school uniform, but before anything else... Midori goes in search of Hew...
Rena's eyes flutter open early in the morning - reacting to the pre-dawn light. She looks around and smiles, closing her wings which had stayed wrapped around her all night. Oh it had been so wonderful. She had never dreamt that such sensations could've existed! She wonders what it would be like with Settro and his scales... or Tamina and Dom.. or Vare...
She shakes that away for the moment, looking to see if Asha or Tryko'Sam were awake yet.

Repp awakens feeling wonderfully refreshed. He had a pleasant sleep, and was looking forward to the new day. Another day with no classes for him to learn and challenge himself, but still. He had to check on his friends to see if they were safe after the events of yesterday. Ginni, Tanaka-senpai, and Melody... but first, he needed food. They might be in the cafeteria anyway, so Repp makes his way there.

Mel wakes up haveing fallen asleep at her desk. still dressed from the night before.
glancing around Nim has taken full ownership of Mel's bed and loving the comfiness of it.
Glancing over Vai's mug of cocoa is still there now cold. and a note beside it. a quick read she smiles and folds it up tucking it away in her pocket. she then changes into something more practical for the day; simple pants and T-shirt that says "You will be Deleted" across the front.
Mel pauses a bit her hand touching the small burn scar from Vai's lightning. the physical pain was gone long ago. then to the small scar on her shoulder, a reminder of why she is doing what she is doing today.
she quickly dress and takes one last look in the room. then with a sigh she heads out to meet Jimminy for her detention. make the best of it Mel, you may like this after all she thinks trying to bring up her own spirits and face a new day.
Though he needs no sleep, Wyrd understands the need others have for it, and he waits until the sun is a handspan above the horizon before he goes in search of Jiminy. He spends the early hours on the edge of Avalon's grounds looking out over the forest and watching the sun rise. He feels a vague sense of loss at times like this, and a sadness in the face of such beauty for which he cannot account.
"I have accessed the code in my memory that would attribute to my 'sentience.' I then replicated it to a lesser degree and transfered it into this robotic version of a cobra. It runs on a form of repeating energy that I have induced from a circuit similar to a mobious strip."
A cobra of silver metal unwinds itself from around its arm.
"This is Hal. I have not perfected the coding to make it truly sentient, but it is capable of performing commands.
I have also prepared a few other prototype machines."
Vai's mug may be cold, but it isn't untouched - a good half the cocoa is gone. And there's a note for here, left in a delicate, if a little sloppy, script.

Asha had had a very educational night...and fun too. She had dozed off for brief periods two or three times, but never for long. She was too interested in exploring and learning with Tryko'Sam. Having lived her life locked in a tower she was accustomed to breaking up her days with many short naps instead of a long night's sleep. It helped with the boredom. And servants never bothered her at night which was primarily when she practiced acrobatics...and this was a new sort of acrobatics altogether. She stretched languidly. She was sore in places she hadn't known before she could be sore, but it was totally worth it.
"Good morning, Rena...I'd ask if you slept well, but I know the answer...there was no waking you after you fell asleep," she said, laughing.

The lab at this point is basically an empty room. Even the security lock is gone. There is a note tacked to the door.
Notice: Due to a massive security breach yesterday a security protocol was activated that resulted in the destruction of everything in the lab in order to preserve the security of the rest of the school. I sincerely apologize and will incorporate measures in my new design that will safeguard student work against such events in future. The lab should be back up and running by Monday. -Aananda Sunwake
