I'm trying to figure out how to get that going...
DB3 and I've been chatting...
1)we are already in mentor
2)Kagiero's step mom owns an inn we can stay at
3)We are there to possibly open a branch of Avalon
4)We've been there for a few weeks
The dean of admissions at Mentor University has agreed to help in any way he can, as he's really looking forward to seeing what caliber of student Avalon produces. The chaperone and students have already met him, his name is Balazan. He's a friendly enough sort, his job demands it, but he is intense, and can come off a little...odd.
Kagiero's step mother has no problem with her 'daughter' and her friends staying at the inn, and isn't charging a whole lot for their stay. It is one of the most well known Inns in mentor, her father was a prominent business man in his day. Since his death, her step mother runs the place.
I'm stuck a bit on what's actually, if anything, has been accomplished by the group in the time they've been there, or what daily routines would be...

Perhaps we've been attending the Mentor University at times to show our caliber to the Dean of Admissions what we can do. We even have two levels of students to show(16th levels and one 13th, I believe), so there's some variety.
Like doing demonstrations?
I guess I don't know what mentor University has to offer a graduated Avalon student. The kinds of kids that go to Avalon are pretty far above the norm that attends the university. I dunno that showing off what they can do will do any good, if the folks that go to mentor are "normal" mages and such.
Though, perhaps as more of a "look at the power we've learned to control" aspect, maybe opening up a branch of Avalon at Mentor to help their above average folks? So they don't need to go to Avalon itself?
Maybe I'm off base and the folks that attend mentor are already on par with the students at Avalon?

Lyn, for when you log back on: have you watched the Pandorica on Doctor Who yet? If so, I recommend looking up Doctor Who Prom 2010 I Am The Doctor on Soundcloud.
I have been listening to it on loop for ~30 minutes, and I still have not tired of it. Totally fangirling over here.

Woo you're back
also. That metal looks awesome.
Hermes, get on makeing the preliminary designs for a suit of armor made out of the stuff, be sure to check the conductivity/insulatory levels for it regarding electricity, magic and various radiations.
if we ever make friends with an actual caster who wants armor this is what the armor will be made of because that's awesome

Last I recall, I was stuck in a room as the demon prince student negotiated with a demon through a big portal after slaying a room full of cultists, a task which we got dragged into after another student rescued a girl set to be a sacrifice to said demon.

Oh, ok we're back at school, tykro Sam has been possessed by some kind of bone demon, the party split into two groups one group, that being Dave and the jello dragon alchemist went to find the conjuration teacher so we can summon Sam, and excorcise the demon from him, we found the teacher and Dave went to get Rhena so she could help in some unknown way, and jello dude has a barrel of holy water
The other group is guarding the chosen one.
I'm about to fall asleep so my explination is possibly incomplete or confusing.

Hi, guys. I'm back(ish). Kidlet has made it back to school a couple days in a row and I've had some chance to catch up on things. But I'm also in the middle of a massive spring cleaning effort. So my posts will be sporadic at best for a while. But I'll try to get in a few here and there as I can. :)

Uh, Dalesmen, does Fei have his Champion Aura hidden?
I was soooo hoping you'd forget about that one little detail ;P
In all seriousness, though, that begs a question I never remember to ask Lyn:
Can all Champions 'mask' their auras so they do not 'register' to other Champions?
- If the answer is yes, then Fei is most definitely hiding it. He will not give this Vai ANY hint as to who or what he is if that is at all possible.
- If the answer is no, then Fei is basically gambling that Vai will not even think to check for his aura.
[wishful_thinking] (Since she has no reason to think anyone from Agartha would or could get to this place) [/wishful_thinking]. ;)
I guess we need an official answer to that before we can move forward...'tis a rather pivotal bit of minutiae for this encounter, neh? (^-^)
I dunno if a robot could be a Champion, but a Soulmech definitely should be able to qualify.
Random Ramblings on this Subject:
A soulmech, on the other hand, would be just as ideal of a Champion of Creation as a warforged like Jim Rivets is. Possibly others as well, but more for plot reasons/irony methinks...

Ryuzo showed everyone he knew was a champion at Avalon (at that time) how to hide your aura. It involves intent to do so, and not using any of your champion abilities.
I believe Fei was among them.
Hmm, I think you're right, but in that case, Fei used his champion teleport to enter the room, which means his aura should be active.
And sorry for noticing Dalesman. Trying to play her as shrewd, if somewhat unstable.

The comment was 100% tongue-in-cheek, old bean.
No worries - it just forces me to make Fei be a bit more....forward...than normal ;)
