When told of a 3.5 campaign allowing access to any race, and being suggested to break your character, (pun pun was out of the question though- then you deal with Devine politics.) i thought- worm that walks. In 3.5 they could touch attack engulf, no save, 100 DMG, and if you don't break free on your turn 100 more, and I you do you may only take an action to move away from the worm that walks, allowing him to simply walk up and touch you again. Worm that walks CR mod is almost nothing at +2. A lv 1 sorcerer worm that walks from 3e can beat most dragons of huge size or less.
Pun pun- a build allowing a lv 4 kobold with 5 Devine ranks.
Damiani: Pun-pun is a combo that allows a kobold of 5th level to have arbitrarily high Strength, by RAW in 3.5.
Only a couple more levels required for him to be able to have infinite of any stat.
Its actually a legit broken combination.
There's a feat from the Forgotten Realms supplement, Serpent Kingdoms, that is the entire basis of the build.
However, the use of the feat in Pun-Pun, is wrong. Its been stated time and again, by various sources, including I believe James Jacobs, but some people just don't care that the game designers have told them they screwed up.
The build I read for him involved a viper familiar, and the ability to wildshape into a creature called a Sarruhk. Basically Pun-Pun can (permanently) set his familiar's strength score to his own while he is wildshaped, and grant his familiar the ability to do the same. So his familiar goes to strength 20 or whatever (permanently), then Pun-pun shifts back and sets his own strength to 20 with his familiar's ability. From that point, you just need a few bull's strengths and you can get your strength climbing ever higher.
Festering rage is a disease the causes +2 str and -2 wisdom every day.
Thickening skin raises natural armor ac by 1 and dropping dex by 2 ever day.
Cancer mages are immune to the negative effects of diseases.

In order to do any of this though, you need the Manipulate Form ability of the Sarruhk, which is the part that's being misused.
My mistake is saying it was a feat, but the point remains, its entirely broken.
Pun-Pun is also more or less an extreme exercise in optimization, taking abilities from a variety of sources. Its also explicitly not supposed to ever see play.
Bottom line is that Pun-Pun is a joke. It is a broken concept based off of some bad RAW. No one with an RL intelligence score >1 would realistically consider playing it no matter how broken the campaign. :P

wrong, there are campaigns that involve the PCs having Devine ranks, or vein Solars or similar and there are players who are serious munchkins
But no DM with an int above 7 would allow pun pun outside divine campaigns
