Hey Ice now that Lyn is caught up and work free care to drop a bit more work on her? Do we even have this worked out all the way?
Mostly kidding Lyn. You know we love you. :)
Do have something in the works though. . . . Could be cool. We'll see. :)

Hmmm. You have the techy know how that I don't want to mess up, but I am much better at wording things. How bout this.
Lyn would you rather have the PM about it from me and be more story and "this could be cool" oriented or from Ice and be more technical and "this is how it could work" oriented?

Tybalt Baneko |

I'd give it a plus 2 to the DC to blood bend us or the firebender equivalent there of.

Pitch me the story first and then I can ask questions about how it works if I need to.

Tybalt Baneko |

Ice this is story based so I got this one. When we get to technical part you can send that one. :)
Pm brewing Lyn. :)

"Ace" |

Lyn,
Sent a reply. Take your time in getting back to me.

Tybalt Baneko |

Bla bla bla numbers and rules. Its easier by 2. That's what I mean. :P
Also I sent the PM Lyn. :)

Tybalt Baneko |

Although if I was able to focus I could probably (at least) negate the bonus by focusing my manipulation of water on myself. . . . . I just realized I could manipulate my ice in my body and flie with it. Or at least move faster when flying. Possibly hit harder too.
One sentence, endless possibilities!

Spug... it's root(2)*i

Ok so why was paizo not telling me there was posting in discussion.
As for can I waterbend Tybs I have to agree with Lyn. I would need bloodbending if I did have it yes there could be a + or - based on that you are made of ice, but mechanically I would do it as just like anyone else.
Since I opted not to get bloodbending this is a moot point. It kinda goes against this characters personality.
Oh and another thing woot 53 DC without the moon or overbending! :D No infirmary visit for me.
Bloodbendings DC is 50 standard.

lynora wrote:I don't do well GMing live games. Well, no complaints from the players but it gives me terrible anxiety attacks. I have trouble with running combat. It's hard to read the numbers that fast. I think I would have an easier time with a less stat-heavy system. That's why this game is rules light. Anyways, I can't offer helpful suggestions because my run at it was so short (3 sessions) that I didn't really have time to figure out what works for keeping things organized. So really all I can say is good luck. :)Lyn I Have GM'ed a lot of systems and know a lot of game designers
For light system try "Dying Earth" fun and light game.
Gurps, to many splat books
D&D (levels how I hate them)
Any super Hero system Hard work M&M was ok but broken bigtime. Muntent city blues same, Abbarant all broken.
Traveler D6 is light D20 hard, Mongoose (laz is a mate of mine) is ok World of Darkness Ok but not into Vam/Doggy games
Ringworld and D100 Chaosem games like that, nice but rules
SLA (yunk hate the setting)
Cyberpunk Guns guns and more guns
War hammer RPG (see D&D)
Hero-wars (love it Helped test it with Greg,)
CoC Call of Cathoolooooooo baby Top game but again d100 and rules
Jugue Dread Like, Muntent Nin-Ja! Turtles toon and other RPGs fun and silly
Lost of others,Best system and Game system I GM most
AMBER Dice-less RPG, if you can GM an Amber campaign, then your a GM, in my book.
Dying Earthwhere system is light, little combat and lots of trying to get players to con/trick/rob and out fox each other.
If your look for a less number crunch system and the rules are lighter try out Cortex version 1 or 2. Cortex plus I'm still trying to work out.
I love cortex. Name brand worlds that have is Firefly! Supernatural, and Battlestar galactic are all Cortex v 1 or 2. Smallville, Maverl Heros, Leverage are all Cortex plus. Coming soon is Firefly again Yay! Probably cortex plus though. Ether way Cortex is much more story driven than numbers driven. Oh and classless.
If you can't tell it's my favorite system.
If you want to about other system with little number crunching I can list more but I think i will hold off.

Dom you had me at Firefly RPG, going to look into this system, sounds like my kind of fun.

I asked Lynora this in PM, but figured I'd ask you veterans too...
Can you describe the current 'Ward' system better, in regards to traveling onto/off the planet?
I do recall you cannot/by pass them, for planar travel in any way. If that's untrue, please advise.
Thanks!
I had it that they can Block AND monitor passage, they idea being if a player shows up V plane travel or space they are allowed in IF they look ok.
The wards can be fooled, when and how is a Lynora call, each time I would say.
Also any thing looking like a Dragon Empire craft is spotted light years out v the security systems.
thats how I think is works but could be wrong

I think that drivethrurpg.com still sells PDFs but the current books are out of print. Margaretweis.com will be coming out with the next incarnation of it soon however.

Hey Spug. Adon did suggest to Johnny that Tyb would probably be willing to help with the spell saving. I think he missed that.

GM Fireclaw |

Wards: The wards no longer function the same way they used to. We went over all of this for Ghalen's arrival, but it's been a while and people have forgot. So. Taron changed the wards when he flipped the planet outside out. They no longer prevent travel to and from Agartha. You can arrive and leave as you please, although they would attack someone who was trying to land with hostile intent, especially hostile intent towards the dragons of Agartha. When someone leaves the wards effect them in the following way: if they intend to tell anyone who is an enemy of Agartha about Agartha, all of their memories of Agartha and its inhabitants are wiped from their mind. If they are captured/tortured/etc they will lose their memories before they can tell. basically they can't betray the location of or any details about this world. That's how the new and improved wards work. This is why Ghalen didn't leave. Jiminy offered him a shuttle whenever he wanted it, but he was trying to find a way to not forget everything as soon as he left. And now his loyalties have shifted so that's a moot point, but that was the initial reasoning behind it.
Direct quote form Lyn regarding the wards.
They do not inhibit planar travel in any way, but can still wipe memories in the same way if you are leaving Agartha though the Planes.
Also, any enemies do NOT detect life, nor see any structures or anything on the planet surface (shows up as a simple barren planet).

So the things to be finished up for lunchtime are the thing with the kids at the bottom of the lake, wrapping up a couple of conversations and I think that's it. So if we can get through that stuff, then we can move on with the rest of the day. The only thing from the afternoon that I need to actually play through (other than what Melody has already played through since she's like two periods ahead of everyone else) is the firebird assembly. I'm guessing the headmaster will call that during last period. That lets them get the news to the firebird kids in a controlled manner without completely messing up the whole school day, and then they can make a general announcement to the student body at large before classes are dismissed.

Dom Waverider |

Sounds good. I'll start working on wrapping up as well instead of prolonging things.

lynora |

Sorchan might also find Tyrrin, but that's up to you Lyn.
Right now Sorchan has his plate full and then some. And he doesn't want the announcement about what happened to break to anyone before the firebird children at the school have a chance to find out since it directly affects their families.
