Champion abilities are more restricted usually, since they are more powerful than students would normally have access to.
Don't worry too much about that stuff though. If it's useful for telling the story, or for "the rule of cool", then it'll fly.
my big attack with Umbri is i pull out some puppeteering strings, whip them forward, and control a creature's body in a similar fashion to dominate monster, but the strings require sustained activity manipulating them (give up a standard action every round) and a DC 29 will save (10+9+puppeteer's charisma bonus) and instead of counting as mind effecting, it counts as a physical puppetry effect. ((strings of the monochrome puppeteer)) the power of the effect is based upon the power of whatever the current creature i am controlling is.
Also, did Edgar (Jim's player) have an email address that he gave out? He hasn't been back since the end of our hiatus and might think that we're still "on break" as it were.
And downrightamazed for that matter as well, though he's always in-and-out anyway.

Dom doesn't need a big attack. I have plenty of small attacks that I can make big with bending. But his main thing is his healing water which can be used over and over again but after ten times in a day the bending dc gets higher so it gets harder and harder to give a decent amount of health, but while taking ten it heals 6d6+16, it's not to bad.
Can I just say, Spug, that I am finding your posts increasingly easy to read. I don't know if I'm getting used to it, or if you're making an effort to improve, but it is getting much better. I hope I don't sound condescending, I'm aiming for encouraging. I literally couldn't understand what you were writing when you first started.

Also, outside of the simroom, the rest of the school is at almost midnight, not yet at their 2 am time.

You would be right if they had chosen to be trained. If they have not chosen to it just as if you are taking there freedom from them. Even tricking them into choosing to be trained as a soldier would be considered to salis as stripping away there freedom.
The children are taught to defend themselves and others. If they choose to be a soldier, it shall be their choice.
Dave does not judge culture/morals he'd not exactly be happy with such a practice but would see the merits of it and figure that what you do with your own young is your business, he'd probably find it interesting

I do not disagree with your comments, however, I think if you were to present this sort of 'drama' in the IC portion of the game, and perhaps see who's like minded or not, it might be a lot richer (albeit longer) of an experience, versus .. OOC back and forth, however delightful to the mind. Though, I suppose I could avoid the OOC part if it were kept in the Discussion tab and never popped up in the Gameplay one. :)
It's never entertaining for me to 'telepathically' know how or why a PC is going to do what they do, when that can be shared ICly instead. Much richer a reveal that way, in my humble opinion.
Definitely worth while debate subject, all things considered on both sides; self-preservation and morality.
Looking forward to perhaps being a part of that 'debate' and doing as I say, versus not.
