Ok so I had a play with Rosa to get her more like I wanted, so heres the new info in the alt.
Key points,
She knows what other say magic is but its mum-bow-jum-bo to her for basic
matter and energy manipulation uses higher forms of transdimensional maths embedded is in active pattern forms.
To this end she has powers and means to place herself in an act anti-active pattern 'magic field' wile her real tech stuff works.
She is 100% tech or powers, Technology not 'magic'
-Un-agreed on Mind reading or manipulation-
She dos not approve of reading others mind or manipulation of mind by techno means, not unless with our tire agreement.

She may have some challenges with so many natural telepaths around, many of whom don't read minds so much as send their thoughts to others minds in order to communicate. Other than some students who are still learning control most have good etiquette about not reading someone's mind without permission.

ha ha! cool, he as a force of habit, randomly reads the minds of those around him, and constantly those of his thralls, information is power and all that rot, he doesn't mean anything by it, he can't even help it with his thralls sometimes he does it to those around him without even meaning to, but that may or not be any consolation :)
Rosa, figured I'd get this out there now. I sometimes have a really hard time figuring out what you're saying. I get that English is not your first language, and I can usually understand, but I am mildly dyslexic so when the word is a little off it can be that much harder to understand what I'm reading. You'd think that I would be used to it, but even though I see the letters jumbled I've learned to recognize words by what letters are present in them. When it's off I really have to stop to puzzle out what I'm looking at. I may ask for clarifications a lot. Thanks in advance for your patience.
Just something that's going through my head at the moment, but is there a time limit on the conversation that we're waiting for the three people to finish? Just reliving a nightmare on a different site where we were waiting for something similar, and then weeks turned to a month without seeing head or tail of one of the people we were waiting for to finish.

Alot of the time, in this game, if a couple people are holding up advancement, we usually advance anyway and they can retcon their conversation/etc. It can get confusing though, with the times, which is probably why Lyn is holding off on doing that to the newbies :).

And I'm sorry if I sounded preachy. Just trying to get the info out there so people don't have to worry. Avalon moves quickly, so you won't ever worry for lack of posting.
One thing I would advise though: this kinda game, the more you put in, the more you get out. We're pretty much all improvising all the time (some have plans/etc which they are working on), so the main point (at least when you're starting out) is to make sure you are being as active as possible: don't be scared to distrupt other people's activities (may they be conversations or otherwise) if you think the interaction will be a fun one. Use your judgement as to whether it would make sense for your character to be there, and then find some way to introduce yourself into the scene.
Again, I apologize if I sound preachy, but this is really the best way to play this time of free-form game, imo.
Nah, you don't sound preachy; it's more like sharing wisdom to the newcomers to help survive or at least enjoy themselves. I know I'm going to be doing all I can to post as actively as possible. Not like I have anything else to do. >w>

Lang has the unique ability to have no influence on anybody's thoughts.
He also can, almost without fail have no clue what other are thinking.
As for reading his mind...yeah good luck with that, not that you can't get in, most likely the opposite, you will get so flooded with goofy stuff you will decide its best to leave that one alone he's to wierd.

Also, for the new students who already arrived, don't feel like you have to wait for your escort. You can arrive at the Headmaster's office and knock on the door whenever you like.

Chaperone would be perfect for Ryuzo and his ability to be in multiple places at once definitely comes in handy there. :)
I don't think we had a specific position for Krays yet. I was thinking maybe librarian for the younger kids? Or not if you have an alternate suggestion.

No worries. The schedule is a bit mutable as far as posting goes. I usually post some during the day between classes and then some in the afternoons while the kidlet does homework. (I have learned that he and I trying to do homework at the same time only leads to tears.) Occasionally even in the evenings when I'm supposed to be doing my homework. :)
I'm in college, second time around. didn't graduate the first time because I had to drop out due to health problems. then life happened, yadda, yadda. Now if I could just stop changing my major. :/
