Lurch, there's a Drider template on the PFSRD that I believe lets you do exactly this. Might need to toss on another, separate template to get the perfect feel for the race, but maybe not.
Even if you don't use the template, perhaps it can serve as inspiration.

Monkeygod |

I was going to ask if you wanted to do that, so nope, don't mind at all.
Also, for anybody else who wants to join, I plan on making my character around 10th level, give or take, but please do not feel constrained by that in any way.
Oh, and if anybody's been looking for an excuse to use the Augmented or the Eldritch(among other whacky) templates, this is a great time to do so. Considering where and who we're coming from, being experimented on is very likely.

Oh, I have so many cool things, I just don't know which one to pick.
Zyphers, magical tigers with wings, horns, and front paws kinda like a raccoon's, so they can grab things, somewhat.
Hecatonchires, nothing like the mythical version, these are a race of mini hive minds. Each individual has 3-5 bodies and one mind, though older more powerful individuals may have more. There are limits, such as a mental reach of only about one mile, beyond which a body can be separated, usually resulting in that body's death, but sometimes it will awaken as a new person.
Scorls, a spiderlike race, though they are more mammilian with an internal skeleton and hot blood. They have six limbs equidistant around a central body and an eye on top between each leg. There is no head, rather the brain is in the middle of the body.

Ok, then Mr. Giger. ;P

Well, I set up my novel for this year's NaNo. I have so much research/outlining to do before November. >.<
Anyhoo, anyone joining me in the insanity this year, feel free to add me as a writing buddy. Either tell me your profile name so I can add you or look me up and add me. My profile name is Lynora Pefhlawae.

I'll be joining you on this one Lyn... though I totally forgot there was a signup for it.
Research and outlining is also eating up my time >_<.
Also, there's no way my story is going to be 50k words or less, so I'm just gonna say that it's my goal to hit 50k words. xD

The more writing buddies, the better. :)
Last year I had two writing buddies and they both flaked on me during the first week. It's no fun if you don't have anyone to commiserate with once you're really stuck in the plot mire at the end of the second week. ;P

I like dubbed better generally, but at least on a medium where it's available like Netflix I have the subtitles up to and I compare the audio of the dubb to the subbed
I figure it boils down to personal preference
Also: that's one of my favorite anime
Just throwing that out there.

Guys... guys?
Hello?
Anyone there?
Have you all been eaten by the post monster?
When NaNo rolls around, this board tends to go dark for a few months whilst folks here get to authoring and such.
Ye have been warned... ;)

I need some help smart people!
My grandmother just got a new modem for the house from comcast. It's a combination modem and router, but I have a question.
If we plug the old wifi router into it, will it be better? We have about 5-9 devices at a time on the wifi and one desktop plugged into it.
I guess the question is, is bandwidth determined by the internet/modem or the router?
Would plugging another wifi router do any good anyways? Divvy up the networks people are on?

![]() |

The rule of thumb is that it's determined by whichever is the weakest in the link, that forms the bottleneck or choke point
Imagine a highway that has one section with 8 lanes and another with four.
That being said I'm not at all sure on the using multiple router thing. I never got to the networking class in Cisco.

So I've checked in periodically over the last week, but haven't posted since there wasn't anything currently for me to respond to that I'm aware of. Are the rest of you just busy like me? (NaNo prep is getting pretty frenzied here as I'm trying to learn everything I can about Victorian London and alchemy all at the same time so I can put my outline together before I actually have to start writing the book.) Or are you feeling stuck? Would it help if we fast-forwarded some scenes a bit? Gloss over and sum up to get to the good bits? Totally open to that if it will help get things moving again. I miss you guys! It's lonely without all the interaction with fictional characters that don't live in my head! Please don't leave me alone with all the voices. ;P
(I'm practicing excessive use of exclamation points as it is an entirely period appropriate use of punctuation.....yeah, I didn't even have to research that. I've read enough novels written during the period to know that already. Which is absolutely totally not weird at all. Nope. Not even a little bit. The fact that I read those books because I had already read everything in the children's section and classics were the only thing the overly strict librarian would let me check out of the adult section before I was twelve....that might be a little bit weird. :P)
Can you tell I'm going a little stir crazy over here? Seriously I'm typing this while taking a break from reading articles on law enforcement in Victorian London. It's simultaneously interesting and 'holy hell can you just come to the freaking point already!' boring. Starting to rethink my choice of setting.....

Lets see
Dave: waiting on whoever's DMing team hotguys to tell me if I am carrying a disease or not as I go through decontamination
Arthur: not waiting on anyone in particular, but I was the last person to say anything I. That scene so *shrug*
Lucas: just finished his previous scene, I guess he's waiting for a new one he can join.
Zix: waiting on students
[incert name here]: waiting on ifirmary staff to notice him, a minute or two (or in our terms days) more and he's going to be angry at being ignored
Grim and Chao:.... Uuuh I forget actually.....huh...

I have been rather busy preparing and starting my own game. Originally I was adjusting Pathfinder to Fallout Equestria, then we shifted to just using my system, and I've got a fair number of players this time around too.
As for Vickory, waiting on the principal's secretary to handle Nameless, and don't have an in game reason to abandon that task.

lynora |

Well, today is a bit better. Less wheezing, more oxygen is a good thing. ^.^
Anyhoo, before I got derailed by surprise family visits and an annoying health crisis, I was trying to figure out what to do to get things moving again. It sounds like most people are feeling kinda stuck in the scenes they are currently in. Is this accurate?
If this is the case we can start glossing over and summing up to get to the next interesting part. If there is a scene that you want to have this done to, please feel free to speak up and we can start moving things along until we get unstuck. :)

Ace is stuck, as I believe he is awaiting a reply from Ty. I'm hoping he can learn of Keme trying to lure the murderer out as I have some interesting plans to ambush him. I actually lost several hours of sleep one night thinking about ways to pull that off, lol.
I need to reply for Sil and likely Serrin, but my internet is out atm, and I would prefer to not do so via my cell.
