Game Master Helikon

In the ruins of a fallen empire built on the power of sin lies the key to awakening a great evil from a time long gone. The Pathfinder Society isn't the only organization seeking this potent artifact, however, and the result of failure could mean disaster for the whole of Varisia and beyond.

Mutahir seems tired of waiting and steps up to the Taldan man, giving him a curt nod.

If you are in charge of this expedition, then you will answer our questions. I am Mutahir Hashem, of the Pure Legion Enforcement Squadron. We have been sent here to address some disturbing rumors of cultists in the area. As such, Mi'lord I will require a full report of how exactly you arrived here. If you cannot explain yourself, you will need to be remanded to our custody until such time until we can assure Mi'lord and his entourage's safety.

You didn't know that much venom could be packed into a single word, but there you have it.

One of you summoned a Deva and set it to guard this area. Which of you was it and what was your intention in doing so?

Warpac's ax stops spinning for a moment when he realizes how confrontational Mutahir is being.

Wow, an equal opportunity force of belligerence. Maybe there will be a fight after all!

"I am not! And the pure legion has no jurisdiction here!"
The Taldan noble replies.

Mutahir shifts his hand very purposefully to his blade.

The Pure Legion has authority wherever I am Mi'lord, as long as I'm enforcing the laws of the country of which I am currently residing. I can, and will, recite to you the bi-laws if necessary, but I assume that since Mi'lord is a law abiding Taldan citizen, he will behave himself as appropriate of his station, including but not limited to aiding in the removal of threats such as these cultists. If the next words that come out of your mouth are not something that assists me in executing my duties, I will not have any moral quandary about slapping you in irons and carting you all the way to Taldor in a box and delivering you to whichever magistrate has jurisdiction over your lands....

He gives a very... worrisome smile.

Last I checked, such magistrates have such a rich history of enforcing the law when it allows them to confiscate land for the crown.

He turns to the Shoanti and gives a small bow.

Thank you for actually being of help. Was your boss also the one who summoned the Deva then? And can you provide any information concerning this altar? I must admit, I'm tempted to destroy it on principal...

The noble just laughs at you Mutahir.
"You are nothing here and way below me to answer!"
The shoanti man replies.
"I have no idea what you mean? What altar?"

The rotted pews, the collapsed pulpit, and the giant Sihedron mosaic on the floor indicate that this room once housed Lissalan worshipers. A circular door set in the northern end of the eastern wall has no apparent handles or hinges, though an obviously magical key hole lies in the center of the door. Stone double doors also rest in the eastern wall, farther south.
As you enter the room you see a woman in armor.

Effect 10-ft.-by-10-ft. hole, 10 ft. deep/2 levels
Duration 1 round + 1 round/level
Saving Throw Reflex negates; Spell Resistance no
DESCRIPTION:
You create a 10-foot-by-10-foot extra-dimensional hole with a depth of 10 feet per two caster levels (maximum 30 feet). You must create the pit on a horizontal surface of sufficient size. Since it extends into another dimension, the pit has no weight and does not otherwise displace the original underlying material. You can create the pit in the deck of a ship as easily as in a dungeon floor or the ground of a forest. Any creature standing in the area where you first conjured the pit must make a Reflex saving throw to avoid falling into it. In addition, the edges of the pit are sloped, and any creature ending its turn on a square adjacent to the pit must make a Reflex saving throw with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into it. Creatures subjected to an effect intended to push them into the pit (such as bull rush) do not get a saving throw to avoid falling in if they are affected by the pushing effect. Creatures who fall into the pit take falling damage as normal. The pit’s coarse stone walls have a Climb DC of 25. When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round.

NOTE: DC=20 Reflex. Duration: 10 rounds.

Tiny takes a 5' step to the shadow and swings..

melee(+1 adamantine) vs. shadow: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31
possible slashing damage vs. shadow: 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 1) + 5 = 12

As Warpac mentioned Rogar gains a +2 shield bonus from Defense Weapon Training (base +1 and another +1 for half his sword's +2 enchantment). Here's how Rogar AC goes: AC 27 (28 if adjacent to a single foe), touch 14, flat-footed 24 (+10 armor, +2 Dex, +1 Dodge, +2 Shield, +1 Natural Armor, +1 Deflection). P.S. Rogar used to have a normal shield in case he had to face very accurate opponents

Rogar curses as the shadow bypasses his defenses draining his strength in the process but keeps pressing his attack against the deadknight!

Power Attack Roll 01: 1d20 + 20 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 20 - 4 = 27 -> Damage roll: 2d6 + 16 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (5, 6) + 16 + 9 - 4 = 32

Power Attack Roll 02: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 11 - 4 = 22 -> Damage roll: 2d6 + 16 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (2, 5) + 16 + 9 - 4 = 28

If impossible to attack the deadknight due to pit Rogar will of course direct his attacks against the shadow

Damage is -6 due to strength loss.
