Fog clears.
Knowing that the gust of wind will dispell his cloud the wizard unleashes his summoned creature.
A Gibbering mouther.
With a maddening shriek he charges Jing
attack: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 2 = 261d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Grab: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Jing is grabbed. (Barely)
I think only Vybus and Jing failed their rolls. Being attacked Jing will melee attack the mouther next round.
-----------------------------------------------------
Then the sinspawn attack.
The first bites Barm then takes a step back, then attacks him with his spear, then he takes a step back.
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 241d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 171d8 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Then the second bites tiny and then attacks Barm with his spear too and steps back.

Attack: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (3) + 15 = 181d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Finally the wizard quickly casts a spell but alas Tiny saves the grease on his weapon. Then the wizard more slowly casts another spell and another cloud appears. But, rogar ready for it tries to shoot him. He hits, but fails to wound him.
This time it is green and Yucky.
Tiny is much to strong for that, but alas Barm is sickened for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 rounds and Mutahir for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

With that roll, the Mouther should be shoved at least 10' (5' +5' for every 5 Warpac exceeded the CMD) and Warpac will follow for 10' to block the door.

Sorry to be a pain, but no one answered: what is PoE and PoW mean?
also, what I can see I took 5 HP of damage and Tiny's AC is 27, so both rolls (which is bite on him and which is spear on Barm) will not hit him, he is unharmed. Is this correct at this time? Which square is the wizard in?

Jing Kwan moves into the room and casts Create Pit under the Glibbering Mouther (Reflex DC=20)[/ooc]
Create Pit:
School conjuration (creation)
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: V, S, F (miniature shovel costing 10 gp)
Range: medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Effect: 10-ft.-by-10-ft. hole, 10 ft. deep/2 levels
Duration: 1 round + 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Reflex negates; Spell Resistance: no
You create a 10-foot-by-10-foot extra-dimensional hole with a depth of 10 feet per two caster levels (maximum 30 feet). You must create the pit on a horizontal surface of sufficient size. Since it extends into another dimension, the pit has no weight and does not otherwise displace the original underlying material. You can create the pit in the deck of a ship as easily as in a dungeon floor or the ground of a forest. Any creature standing in the area where you first conjured the pit must make a Reflex saving throw to avoid falling into it (see Editor’s Note). In addition, the edges of the pit are sloped, and any creature ending its turn on a square adjacent to the pit must make a Reflex saving throw with a +2 bonus to avoid falling into it. Creatures subjected to an effect intended to push them into the pit (such as bull rush) do not get a saving throw to avoid falling in if they are affected by the pushing effect. Creatures who fall into the pit take falling damage as normal. The pit’s coarse stone walls have a Climb DC of 25. When the duration of the spell ends, creatures within the hole rise up with the bottom of the pit until they are standing on the surface over the course of a single round.

Mutahir Hashem |
PFE is "Protection from Evil", not sure about the other. Helikon, the eidelon is a sentient being, not a golemn, that explicitly attempts to protect it's master. So, "Technically" since jing is confused, it uses it's own int score to make decision, and "Hit the thing that is threatening my master" is a pretty easy decision to make even with a bad Int.
jing kwan |
Two things:
(1) I did not notice being confused. I believe I need to roll to see if I can act normally and still move and cast create pit.
(2) First time around my order to Tiny was: "Tiny, find and kill the spellcaster!" (Tab 6; June 27). I forgot to add it the second time around, but it would have been the same order since that's the fastest way to end this kind of encounter according to Jing Kwan's experience. Tiny would not deviate unless I gave him different orders.
Vybus Abbin |
Vybus had in his previously-posted immediate actions spoiler that he'd reroll any save below a 10 with his folio + GM stars.
If Vybus or Max need to make any kind of saving throw, I'll use a folio re-roll if I roll lower than a 10 (I have 5 GM stars to add to the re-roll). Once my folio re-roll is used, I'll use Beacon of Luck next time I need to make a saving throw.

Vybus Abbin |
Um, I pointed out in the discussion thread that Gibbering Mouther is not a legal option for summon monster. It only appears on the Summon Monster list for worshippers of Rovagug (which these cultists are not) in the Legacy of Fire adventure path (which is not a legal source for PFS). I guess we're just ignoring that? I also had in my immediate action spoiler that you asked me to type up that I'd use Beacon of Luck next time I needed to make a save. But to keep things moving, here's my confusion roll...
confusion: 1d100 ⇒ 51

Rogar Valertis Alastoris |
@Helikon: I usually don't force my players to spend a move action to retrieve the potion because, unless they explicitly put it into their backpacks I consider the potions within easy reach. And since you need a move action only to retrieve a STORED object I allow players to drink potions as a standard action instead to force the move and standard combo on them. That said, I believe the way you are doing things is perfectly legal. Anotyher thing, ignoring Vybus' objection for a moment, the mouther or any evil summon can only attack Warpac and Tiny because they have no PfE on themselves. And I believe you are not keeping Rogar's previous roll, right
Round 3
Rogar moves near the cultists and slashes at the one behind Tiny with his huge sword...

Helikon |
@as your bab was reduced by 4 shouldn´t your PA be reduced by 4?
There are a couple of options to legally store potions, like bandoleers for easy reach and that would have been totally different.
@Vybus Being confused you can´t active the Emergency force sphere I think. But it does not matter anyway, as you are quite safe where you are.
Warpac does some major damage to the gibbering mouther, but due to the damage reduction and the additional hitpoints thanks to the summoner it is still, but very barely alive.
The mouther can try to attack someone protected by PoE, but fails at the last second.[/ooc]
Rogar does manage to hurt the cultist badly, but he is not yet down.
WillMouther: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 And he saves.
Rogar Valertis Alastoris |
@Helikon: in PF you don't lose levels when energy drained or the like, you gain negative levels. In play this means the following
I guess you can consider Power Attack subject to "level dependant variables". In that case Rogar power attack drops by 2, because he's treated as lvl 4 instead of 8. And btw any legal evil summon can attack Warpac and Tiny because they did not receive PfE. That said, here's my round 4 actions (as I won't be able to post much today I think)
Rogar Round 4
Rogar attacks the cultist in front of him. If he drops he will step forward and attack the wizard.

Extra HP! Blah. I didn't know a summoner could add HP to a summoned creature. I think Rogar is right about that PfE on Warpac. I was not paying close attention to what folks did differently the second time and just assumed he had PfE because you said he did. You should be able to smack him around with the Mouther unless things were done differently the second time around.

And back. I guess the 4th of july was quite intense as the game slowed down considerably. I hope we can get it moving soon. In the meantime I'd like to ask something to my fellow pathfinders.
