Dark Angels Assault Marine

Seeing the few remaining attackers flee, a thought flashes in Elyas' mind Perhaps they have information? Acting upon it he quickly steps out of cover creating a clear line to the cowards running and fires up his jump-pack, propelling himself towards them like hulking black bullet. He slams into the back of one of them, locking his armour clad arms around the arms and neck of his chosen prey. "Yield!" he bellows amplified by his armour.

You have killed all of the resistance on the ground level with the exception of the individuals Brother Elyas has captured.

" We have secured the border. Do you need any medical assistance? I have a casualty collection point set up right outside the main gate."

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Keeping his capture in place Elyas calls out: "Colonel, prisoners. We will interrogate later." He only relinquishes his hold when the guardsmen are ready to escort the prisoners to holding.

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

The Col. sends a team to collect the prisoners. " There is a lot of Xeno and heretic weaponry here, what would you like us to do with it?" The Soldiers ask as they secure the compound.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Casting a quick glance around the secured compound Elyas looks to Arkhos over the internal squad vox he transmits: "Your orders?"

Male Crimson Fists Techmarine

Valerio casts an eye around the scattered technology, he seems almost by the sight.
"Brother Arkhos, it would be wise of us to collect this weaponry and bring it back with us, if nothing more than to study it and find appropriate countermeasures for it in the future."

Forbidden Lore: Xenos (42): 1d100 ⇒ 93

Spending a Fate Point to reroll

Forbidden Lore: Xenos (42): 1d100 ⇒ 32

Lutha also takes some time to check the heretics weaponry once the fighting has calmed down.

I'm trying to determine which breed of xenos the majority of the weapons originate from if possible.

"At the very least it would likely benefit the Inquisitors investigation. I doubt they could have taken these by force so they must be acquiring them through some other means."

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Surveying the wreckage and inspecting the weapons, he stands quietly lost in thought. He groans, his wounds have definitely taken a toll on him

"Yes, we must also find out how and why they've taken them. If we find out how then countermeasures can be taken in order to prevent more of.. this"

FL(Xeno): Int 40: 1d100 ⇒ 19
Again, to find which species would have carried this weaponary

"Hmm.. Yes they could have stolen it. But how do we know it was not given to them? Perhaps some xenos wished a rebellion?

"If the Lady is indeed the leader of this rabble than she could have undoubtedly used her wealth to simply purchase these weapons from the hands of the filth. In which case the greed of the dealer would provide us the opportunity to deal a damning blow to the Beast Masters organization."

Arkhos cringes at the thought of with the Xenos weaponry "I have no interest in Xeno filth" as the notable contempt for the subject is evident "But the Inquisitors my have use for such things as you say, but before that happens, does anyone have any idea of the origin of these weapons" Arkhos at first glance looks puzzled and awaits a reply from the rest

Forbidden Lore (Xenos) 1d100 ⇒ 62

As Arkhos inevitably might come to know what it is, after focusing more intently in his task.
Forbidden Lore (Xenos) 1d100 ⇒ 29

"I doubt it is a rebellion in this is area, but it might worth to know why and the how they acquired such weapons". as Arkhos inevitable finds the only way he will find out more.

Arkhos removes his helmet and walks towards one of the enemies that are no so charred and cuts a small piece of flesh and eats it with the hopes of gaining some knowledge from the enemy.

Forbidden Lore Xenos +0:
You recognize a Tau Rail Gun and a Tau Pulse rifle in the main group of items.

Forbidden Lore Xenos -20:
There is a rare Dark Eldar splinter pistol that fires toxic rounds.

Forbidden Lore Traitor Legions +10:
There is an infamous Doom Siren amongst the weapons favored weapon of the Noise Marines and followers of Slaneesh.

Forbidden Lore Archeotech -10:
There is an Atomizer Canon of a very ancient design. It bears the symbol of the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Skitarii. It looks like the one carrying it did not understand how to power it on.

So is it too mixed up to determine the most common type of weapon?

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Lucian moves towards the main entrance to the compound, covering the door with his plasma cannon.

Brothers, the longer we wait out here, the longer the heretics have to ready themselves in the compound. We should move in quickly, to maintain our momentum and to get to any evidence of further heretical activity before the traitors within can destroy it.

Dark Archive

There is not "common" weapon among them there are several different patterns. Tau/Dark Eldar/Ancient Tech/Traitor Legion. If you want more specifics roll the above or and Evaluate roll to determine some specifics of each weapon such as craftsmanship.

Crap I missed Arkhos post about eating the enemy, sometimes that happens when we post at the same time. If you think this has happened PM me

Arkhos:
1d100 ⇒ 5 Wow nice As you eat the flesh you get glimpses of information. You see through the eyes of this heretic as you recall some of his memories. They came aboard a Xeno pirate vessel and raided the compound killing much of the servitors that had been left to maintain the facility. They accessed and stole most of the things the compound has to offer and set up a shop to create their warped Xeno projects. However, it appears they were unable to gain access to the 12th floor. You gain the following Skills - Forbidden Lore Beasthouse, Cipher Beasthouse, Forbidden Lore Archeotech, Tech Use +20 for hours equal to your intelligence bonus

Opening a vox-link directly to Valerio "Brother Valerio, work with that atomizer cannon right there, its an ancient tech from the mechanicus of House Skitarii"

"I have good intel we can work with brothers" as Arkhos switches to the secure vox comm link between his brothers They came here by means of a xeno vessel and raided the compound and killed most servitors in the facility which means they might have re purpose those few that have been left" as he makes a small pause to let the first art of the information be digested by his peers "Furthermore, they also cleaned the compound of the majority of important things the compound houses and set up a shop for their Xeno projects. However, they were unable to gain access to the 12th floor of the compound, so we might just find something of value or some kind of challenge". as Arkhos awaits for the replays of his men to see what hey have to say about the new intel.

"We should split our assault to cover the most ground possible. They may be destroying any evidence as we speak so time is of the essence."

"We need to hurry then, if we must end this swiftly and with any chance of finding incriminating evidence of any kind, but separating the team my probe our wrong doing right now, maybe once we are inside and we can see what we are dealing with, since I am curious to know what is in that 12th floor" as Arkhos signals the team, after Brother Valerio fgures if he can make any use of that atomizer cannon or not.

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

"I require.. some medical attention. I took quite the blow.."

"I agree with Hallen, time is short if we are to complete this mission and two combat-squads would be far from vulnerable especially to these..filth."

Obeying the orders, Tellemachus takes point advancing on the building, he kneels behind cover

"Your zeal is commendable, but yet as a group you almost fell in combat and i don not plan on losing any men against this filth" as Arkhos does know they might have a point "Brother Tellemchus, Lotha and Valerio go to the Col Foken and get whatever treatment for Tellemachus you can have, then head over to the 12th floor and figure out why is there, the rest let's move on" as Arkhos leads the way into the compound in the search of heretics.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Arkhos' plan to split the Kill-Team raises a feeling of unease in Lucian, and he tries to recall some advice from the Codex Asartes about how to maximise the efficiency of, and minimise the danger to, smaller fire-teams.

Scholastic Lore (Codex Astartes) 50: 1d100 ⇒ 67

The doubt remains in his mind, but Lucian follows Arkhos' orders.

Understood Brother, ready to proceed.

As he moves towards the inside of the compound, Lucian keeps his eyes open for heretic activity.

Awareness 50+10+10: 1d100 ⇒ 11

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Now half a team, 3 marines and such foul weaponry. The thoughts did not sit well with Elyas. He had seen what they had done to Tellemachus, pressing on would be safest with the full squad. Brother Arkhos was not their sergeant, but a first among equals and such orders were different. "Is that wise?" Elyas inquired while preparing to follow Brothers Arkhos and Lucian.

"I cannot abandon Tellemachus by himself" as e turns to see his brothers behind "Brother Valerio, I will probably need you more with us and Broter Lutha and Telemachus make haste to catch up to us" as he looks at brother Elyas "I agree that separating the group is not the most wise option, but I cannot lose our only librarian as we begin either." as Arkhos continues going forwards into the compound.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

While still not concurring with his squad leader Elyas decides to not press the issue further and follows Arkhos in silence.

Valerio had picked up the Atomizer Cannon and was busy staring at it.

Well, I'm not certain that is enough, but we'll see.

He nods to Brother Arkhos, "Let us make haste, I wish to be rid of these vile heretics as well." With that Valerio moves with the rest of the group towards the main building.

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Walking towards Col Foken, a slight limp following him. He gives an apologetic look to Brother Hallen

"I apologize, Brother. You should be at the front lines, not baby-sitting a wounded Librarian."

Brother Leon:
If you have Forbidden Lore Archeotech it will give you more information You are able to identify it as an Atomizer, but do not know anything beyond that.

Col Folken sends a medical team up to meet Brother Tellemachus
1d100 ⇒ 37 They have difficulty dealing with the abnormal Astartes physiology and are only able to provide minor aid. Recover 2 wounds

"Do you need me to call you an evac master Astartes?" The Col asks.

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

The top level of the compound is secure, there is stairs, an access hatch , and an elevator leading to the lower levels.

Lutha slings his bolter and offers to support his fellow Astartes during the short walk:

"You should know, Tellemachus, that I cherish the lives of my brothers far greater than any battle glory. Ensuring that you are fit to carry on in the Emperors name is glory enough for me. Though your body suffers your pride has no reason to as well. Walk with your head held high Librarian, show us there is no shame when serving the Imperium."

Can I spend a fate point for the medics to reroll or get a bonus?

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

That is very kind of you Brother Hallan, however I think it would be more appropriate to let Brother Tellemachus do that, if I set that precedent that you can use fate points to save each other I will have a hard time making things appropriately challenging.

"I don't want to take the elevator, but the access hatch could be the better option" as Arkhos looks inside for any obvious traps on the hatch or the stairs way. Brother Elyas take point I'm right behind you the rest fall in" as Arkhos approaches the hatch to continue their search of heretics.

Investigation 1d100 ⇒ 54

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

The hatch seems to open to a narrow system of service tunnels. You will be forced into very tight quarters and single file if you go this route.

As long as someone can do it

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

These tunnels feel like too much of a choke point, we would be unable to bring all our weapons to bear or support each other effectively in the event of an ambush. Perhaps we should consider the elevator?

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

Grunting still in pain despite the suppressants, his patience wears thin.

"Damn the evac! I need to be on the field now!"

Spending FP for re-roll

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

I will grant them additional resources instead of a simple reroll for your Fate Point

A Sanctioned Psyker approaches. I believe I can aid the Astartes master. The Psyker holds his Aquilla staff to Brother Tellemachus
1d10 ⇒ 3 Brother Tellemachus' wounds begin to seal. recover additional 9 wounds

"Guess we go down the stairs then" as Arkhos notices it is to tight and agrees with Lucian invaluable destructive power.

Male Black Shield Librarian 4

"Thank you, psyker. I fear that my place is there with my brothers and not here. I appreciate your services, could I request however some supplies to take with me?"

Standing up, he grabs his weapons.

If they gave me supplies would you allow me to make a medicae check untrained to try to restore even something as we are walking back?

Lutha opens a vox channel to Arkhos:

"Commander, Brother Tellemachus appears fit for duty and the two of us will be returning momentarily. Where do you want us?"

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

The medical supplies they have are not strong enough for your Astartes physiology Tellemachus. You will have to wait until you get back on board.

The stairs seem more recently traveled. You can fit two abreast down the stairs. They switch back on each other each level.

"We are going down the stairs catch up as quick as you can" as Arkhos continues going down the stairs leading from the front.

Male Crimson Fists Techmarine

Valerio falls in line, his Bolter drawn and loaded, and his mind keeping a concious watch on his Auspex.

Also a test for unseen objects, such as gasses.
Tech Use(50): 1d100 ⇒ 20
Another 3 degrees of Success.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

Elyas takes the front as ordered with Arkhos. While a power-armoured marine is never quiet and certainly not on a staircase Elyas tries to makes as few unnecessary noises as possible. Iconic for an assault marine he walks with bolt pistol and chain sword drawn.

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

If I can get a marching order of some sort. You can be two abreast down the stairs as I mentioned.

Brother Leon:
You hear the sound of machinery further down in the facility. Possibly a generator.

Ultramarine Devastator (Rank 7), Deathwatch Keeper

Lucian falls in with the rest of the Kill-Team, the coils of his plasma cannon glowing a faint blue in the darkness of the stairway.

Dark Angels Assault Marine

I believe it is Elyas and Arkhos side by side or Elyas slightly in front followed by Valerio an Lucian.

Dark Archive

Male Human Dungeon Master

As you come down the first set of stairs you notice there is a ceiling mounted turret, but it seems to be powered down. You can enter the second floor from here through a large door that should fit a single marine at a time, or continue down to lower levels.

Communication through the vox link "Let's check what's in this room first we must ensure we clear every area, or we are exposed to a rear assault if we just rush down the stairs" as Arkhos takes point.
