Brother Lutha Hallan
"No, there is little possibility of true heresy here. Far too much care was given to the tomb for a heretic. On top of that they took the effort to reseal the body in the sarcophagus after their deed was done yet they didn't dispose of the guards, clearly they were not concerned with being caught. It speaks a great deal for their respect of the shrine and it would seem that their intention was not to shame us or the Deathwatch. We may have to consider that our assailant is loyal and that his actions here have the blessing of his chapter."
I can run through my full theory in the discussion if anyone is interested, I'd like to see what everyone else is thinking too."
Elyas
Arkhos, perhaps a stupid question, but since we are not in armour, is there a shoulder guard on your robe? And is your chapter well known or should I roll something? Common lore Astrates?
"Captain," Elyas says acknowledging the order, raising his bolter and moving towards the door waiting for Arkhos to catch up. As Arkhos is by his side he says in a lowered voice: "A single attacker, an attack pattern unknown to me but swift and brutal." In his mind there is now nothing but the hunt, the words between brothers Lutha and Arkhos flies by him as leads the way in.
What are the lighting conditions? With out our armour we can't see in the dark.
Could you give me some pointer on how much a common uninitiated Dark Angel would know about traitors in general. My thoughts are that he knows nothing about the fallen. He knows that traitor marines exists and that his chapter hunts them like all other chapters, but perhaps with a little more zest than most.
Brother Arkhos
Not a stupid question, it's a stupid answer of me since apparently the show the shoulder pad I wanted to place the axe (since it's a weapon with the Chapter on it, just of specific design of one of the two worlds my Chapter recruits from. It is my fault. My Chapter is well known specially from the Badab War as the Executioners fought with the Lamenters against the loyalists.
Watch Captain Enoch
Once you all get in position in the sewer, you notice it is not well lit, but it is not dark enough to hamper Astartes' senses(unless your chapter has a flaw with your Occulube or Lyman's ear). The smell makes you wish maybe you did have a weaker sense in that regard.
going to roll awareness for the two up front to keep things moving. If you do not reroll with a FP by tomorrow I will keep those scores.

Captain, how much is known about the individual interred in the sarcophagus? I suspect that as he was referred to as the Unknown Hero, the answer may be very little, but any scraps of information may be of use in deducing who has taken the geneseed.

There are growling hisses from ahead and the objects on Brother Leon's auspex are getting nearer. You can hear splashing in the sewer waters ahead. *Edit* I meant to do initiatives, hit submit instead of preview. So roll initiatives.

These sewer beasts were common all across the Imperium, often taking various forms and shapes. This particular breed was known as "Crotalids", typically mere scavengers that take advantage of packs to hunt wounded prey. The devices on their head were unusual though and likely hinted that there was something more to these normally simply creatures.
Rolling Overwatch attacks now, I'm trying to spread my shots to as many of the crocs as possible. Is the area also small enough to pin them?

For a moment there is a still silence. Up ahead you hear the distinct sound of a chainsword.
When you make your way ahead you see more crotalid corpses laying around an apothecary. He is wearing silver and black with a Tiger should pad.
He turns to look at the Kill-Team. "Astartes here? Black Robes, what manner of chapter are you? I am Brother Johann Ulthbert. He is interrupted by other voices.
You hear voices calling in the sewers in a hive dialect of low gothic, they are speaking quietly, but with your lyman's ear you have no difficulty hearing it
Elyas
The sound of the chain sword peaks Elyas' sense with his bolter in ready position, he signals for sounds ahead and moves closer to investigate. Seeing only the apothecary is alive, he fixes his aim on him. "Lower your weapon," he commands in a hushed voice. Picking up the voices carried along the walls of the sewer, he smiles and signals two enemies ahead.

"Stand down. I am Watch Captain Enoch. Explain why you defiled the tomb of the Unknown Hero. Brother Elyas and Brother Lucian keep an eye on the Apothecary. Everyone else spread out and prepare to deal with the others." The Watch Captain orders. From here on out the Watch Captain is going to observe the situation.
