Just as an aside / friendly nudge from the GM...you guys do have a wand of CLW...or, if you prefer / if no post from Emerald, I can GMPC a CLW from her...

Female Human Cleric (10)-Init+1-HP 93/93-AC 22, T13,FF 21-Fort +12,Ref+7,Will+14-Per+10; Channel 6/6 CLWd 6/50 CMWd 25/50 REnWd 50/50

I know that. But Ea is too crazed with religious madness to take the time to cure Grayface right now, hoping to destroy the undead first.
Death is natural.
Becoming a walking, half sentient cadaver isn't.

I prefer GMPC'ing the CLW instead of the prior round's delay action. Or at least a CLW now.

male Teifling Rogue 9/slayer 1, AC 26 T 22 FF 18, F +11, R +16, W +8, HP 83, Perception +19(+23 traps), Init +11

I agree....we can't let Gray go towards the light...

Besides, Ea got the CLW wand on herself.

I guess it'll be another GMPC action for Emerald this turn...not sure what's happened to her player...any preferences as to what you will want her to do...options are Touch of Acid as a Melee touch against Gorloth or Wand of CLW

male Teifling Rogue 9/slayer 1, AC 26 T 22 FF 18, F +11, R +16, W +8, HP 83, Perception +19(+23 traps), Init +11

I think touch of acid would be best. I think one or two more hits should bring him down. As long as Gray and Ea hit him, that is....hewhewhew.....

Female Human Cleric (10)-Init+1-HP 93/93-AC 22, T13,FF 21-Fort +12,Ref+7,Will+14-Per+10; Channel 6/6 CLWd 6/50 CMWd 25/50 REnWd 50/50

Well, she can't use the CLW wand, as i got it. So Touch of Acid or melee attack

Oread Shaman 2: HP 17/17

Sorry, I've had way too much RL stuff to pay attention to, so I'm trimming down my games and I'm not really feeling this character. So I'm afraid I'm bowing out.

A thousand apologies and thanks for the game.

too bad to see you going, Emarald, but I can understand. RL first!

Take care and enjoy the soon to come x-mas holidays!

game-wise, I must say that the combo Undead/swarm of insects is lethal, as the rotting corpse can't be poisoned/nauseated, unlike us!

Opinions on how to respond to losing Emerald’s player?

I am happy to GMPC the character within a ‘support’ role for a while and, at a suitable point, maybe think about getting a replacement player in? Or are you maybe happy to play with just four of you?

Thoughts?

i guess we should get a new recruit, and so come back to the Fort first.

but that is only my opinion

Ditto for fresh meat, er i mean a new recruit.

Okay, so technically we haven't quite got there but...after an epic fight...you all level up to Level 3 (effective from the next time you take a rest)...

Which also seems like an ideal opportunity to start putting the feelers out for a new party member... Think about what role you would like to be filled within the party and I will put something on the recruitment boards in due course... There are certainly opportunities coming up to introduce someone in to the adventure without the need to skulk back to Fort Inevitable,

If I can make a suggestion. We finish this level, then go back to the fort. We sell the old man the plans to the fort, get the gold from that and get some gear for the party(potions, wand, etc. for example). By then, there should be a decent applicant to join the group. And I think we can pretty much use anything either front line fighter or support. We have skills and healing covered. Oh, btw...Mr. GM-boss man, what is you opinion on the ACG classes? Just for future reference.

Rallos, No problem with the ACG classes... I don't really 'get' all of them but if you guys want to dip levels in those or any other non-3PP stuff, go ahead...

Yasmin suggested asking other people you've played with / are playing with as to whether they want to pitch a character...thoughts?

Also, think about what role you want filled...healing, skills, combat or arcane...try and get your thoughts / ideas posted today and I will stick something on the recruitment boards...

I could try asking in my own game ( Lil" Eschie Crypt of the Everflame) or in other games I play.

I think a martial/healing character would be good. Maybe a battle oriented cleric, oracle, or a paladin?

There are some questions I don't know the answer off:

1/is it possible to "charge back" a wand with a spell? If so, where are the rules for it?

For example, Ea could (maybe) use some of her daily CLW spells to refill our CLW wand.

I know it was possible in the latest AD&D edition, but I'm not sure it's allowed in Pathfinder (with a UMD check maybe? Or a Spellcraft?)

2/ Is there an existing Feat that allows a cleric to take a third Domain of his god (even if he will only be able to choose 1 domain spell per spell level), or to change the Domain he had so far?

3/there's a Feat to increase the DC of your Channeling (Improved Channel) but is there a Feat to increase the damage/healing you're doing? ( a +1/d6 for exemple)

4/on magical items creation: Scribe Scroll requires a a Caster Level of 1, meaning anyone can get it right from the start. Brew Potion is CL3, Craft Wands is CL5: shouldn't spells in Potions and Wands have a minimal CL 3 and 5 respectively? (And why Alchemist have Brew Potions at level 1?)

Alchemists are special. They get it as a class feature, and are the exception to the rule. It's akin to some class archetypes getting powers earlier than their class progression allows, by switching out some other power in exchange.

The level requirement for Brew Potion and Craft Wand is more of a measure of the skill required to craft, not so much a measure on what magic is allowed in such a creation. It is perfectly acceptable to brew CL1 potions, or CL1 wands. In many cases it is much preferred to do so because the cost of item creation is directly proportional to the caster level of the spell used. The cost is 375 gp × the level of the spell × the level of the caster.

For example, a Wand of Cure Light Wounds @ CL1 = 375 gp to create.
A wand of Cure Light Wounds @ CL5 (the level required to even craft a wand) is 1,875 gp. The only difference is one gives 1d8+1 healing and the other 1d8+5.

At creation, the person crafting may choose what caster level to charge the wand at, as opposed to being locked in to whatever level they are.

Probably not quite what you're looking for, but see Believer's Boon. Gives you the 1st level power of a domain.

Also interesting is the Exalted prestige path, though that would be quite far away.

If you just want to change your domain, there's always asking the DM nicely. :P

    Thank you for the info.

@Grayface: yeah, I hadn't thought of the cost factor, which makes it fully understandable.1500 gp are quite a sum to get only a +4 bonus on each CLW roll. Maybe for some people it's doable, but for the same price, you can get 5 CLW wands with level CL1. Silly me.^^

Here is what I found just now from the Gorloth encounter, plus the magic horn. Please correct me if any of this is wrong. Also, were there any other nuggets from previous rooms that I've forgotten about?

    Standard stuff:
    -4x Longswords (15GP each) (sell!)
-MW Dagger (302GP) (not bad, anyone want it?)
    -Buckler Shield (5GP) (sell!)
-Flask of Acid (10GP) (we should probably keep this)
    -Gorloth’s sword (335GP) (taken!)

    Magic stuff:
    -Horn of Fog
    -Potion of Cure Moderate Wounds
-Belt (which is intricately decorated with images of bears, has a Moderate Transmutation Aura, unknown qualities.)
-Vial of Silvery Fluid (has a Weak Transmutation Aura, unknown qualities.)
-Cylinder of Greenish Glass (has a moderate Conjuration Aura, is likely some form of key that responds, in some way, to vocal instructions. Magic is akin to Dimension Door) (we're definitely hanging on to this)

It could really be helpful in a room where we fall under attack by spellcasters or archers. The 1000-2000gp we might get for it is tempting though. Thoughts on the Horn of fog?

-Belt of constitution +2, very nice indeed. As the primary damage sponge I would love it, but I'm not hurting for HP right now. I would love it but I just got a new sword.

-Scrolls of fireball and fly. Yasmin, you should keep them for extra fun when we need it.

-200 gp from the map turn in, that'll be nice. If my previous math was correct, we had 194 gp in liquid assets to split, and now we can add 200 more. 394 gp split 5 ways (I've had a change of heart, and grown a case of the screw-its) that is 78 gold, 8 silver each. ***Everyone add 78 gold, 8 silver to your money***

Ea would like the belt too, as she goes into fight. And she had no sword. ;-)

For the Horn, if Yasmin can already cast the spell, why keep it? You could get some money out of it.
