I've got 2 CLW's available, will burn one on each of you.

    CLW-Gray: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
    CLW-Rallos: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Bit of a miserable bit of rolling but gets Rallos full and Gray to just 1 down.

Also just realised I'm in the Discussion forum, but never mind, don't want to cheat the roller now.

All...I don't mind a huge amount...but could you try and keep 'In Character' in the Gameplay thread? I don't mind 'ooc' questions to GM in the Gameplay Thread (is the best place to seek clarification, etc) but if you are discussing tactics between yourselves, it's more fun / less jarring if you do it 'In Character'

Taking Rallos' recent post as an example, just a bit of Character / Flavour text to accompany an 'ooc' description of moving would be great....

Is that okay? Sorry, don't want to sound like a jerk!!!

i'd say we should pursue: the goblin is harmed, we outnumber him (for now!) and if we kill him we get his CLW wand which will be handy. ;-)

@ Rallos: the goblin is probably one arrow away from dying, we just need you to hit it once. That will spare us some running.

So All, Emerald is back to -9 and Dying....

Emerald can do a little healing, but not as much as a Cleric, I'm sure we'll struggle on, I just need to stop being the first to drop every time. ;-)

Since it came so close this time... what's the groups policy on character death? I'd happily roll up a new one, or could just drop out so someone else could join.

  • I like the RP, please don't misunderstand me. We have a good party vibe going.

Setting RP aside for a moment, the bottom line is we need a viable group in order to proceed. I don't think we are going to get far in this dungeon if the character with the most healing ability stands by and lets people bleed out. And we can't rely on GM fiat to have monsters run away and drop curing wands. We have now used a healing potion and a charge on a wand that probably should have been saved.

RP is of course extremely important, but viability and group cohesion are more important to the overall experience. Please forgive the frank talk, I just want us to keep kicking ass, and I want this group to go as far as we can.

...no, I think it's good we have the discussion...in terms of character death, the GM didn't 'fudge' this one...Skizzertz is meant to run...although, yes I may have been generous still dropping the Wand...

I would prefer to keep you going as the players and as the characters, as I agree, we have a good spirit here...I would much rather carry on playing with you guys...and have your characters survive long enough to be REAL adventurers..

So you guys carry on working out party healing...my take on it, and I might be wrong, is that Ea won't normally heal you if you start Dying...so maybe the healing needs to come earlier? Obviously when you level up (which won't be long now) you will be a bit more durable...

I think we will be fine....just a bit of bad luck(and some crappy rolls by moi). It doesnt help that we only have one fighter, but i think we will do ok.

From Ea point of view: we are all fated to die, and there is nothing to be afraid of. Death is natural, even more when you choose to become an adventurer.

If she runs out of healing, and you die, then it was your Fate, as decided by Pharasma.

If you are hurt, and she can still heal you, she will understand your time to die hasn't come yet.

Then, Ea can become more human, learning to care for you (or other people) via RP. Her point of view may change.

Hey Yasmin, can I make a suggestion? Maybe pick up a longspear? The reason being then you could chip in during combat if you either run out of spells or what you have is ineffectual. You could stay behind Gray or Ea for example and poke them with reach. I used it with a mage I had and helped out a bit.
